The teachers in the office were enthusiastically discussing the selection of outstanding teachers. Audrey walked to her seat, picked up the lesson plan, and started reading, not participating in the discussion.
Beside her, Ethan leaned over and asked, "Mrs. Johnson, are you planning to participate in the selection of outstanding teachers this time?"
Audrey hesitated for a moment. She didn't want to deceive Ethan, so she vaguely replied, "There are so many outstanding teachers in the school, it's unlikely for us to have a chance."

"What about you? Why don't you participate?" Audrey asked.
"My qualifications aren't good enough," Ethan chuckled. "There are only a few spots available at the school, and I can't compete with others. It's better not to embarrass myself."
"I think you should give it a try. What if you get selected?" Audrey smiled, knowing deep down that Ethan, despite his kind and enthusiastic nature, lacked the capability. He had been mediocre at the school for years and wouldn't stand a chance in any selection.
Audrey felt that men like Ethan, although nice, were complacent and lacked ambition. Such personalities were unlikely to attract women. If she weren't married, she probably wouldn't choose a man like Ethan as her husband.
Of course, being too career-oriented like Jason wasn't ideal either, as it could lead to neglecting family. Audrey sighed, feeling the contradictions in human nature - wanting everything but not always achieving it.
Seeing Audrey's perplexed expression, Ethan, with admiration in his heart for her delicate features and flawless skin, was too intimidated to confess his feelings. He knew Audrey was too outstanding to be interested in someone like him. Just being able to see Audrey up close every day was satisfying for him.
Not far away, Vanessa sat with a few teachers, chatting and laughing. She wore a black halter dress, revealing her fair and plump thighs, even showing a hint of cleavage, attracting the covert glances of male teachers around her.
The English office was undoubtedly a paradise for male teachers, as the two most beautiful female teachers in the school were there - one aloof and proud, the other alluring and provocative, fulfilling any man's fantasies.

Vanessa caught Audrey's eye and gave her a slight smile. She had come to terms with the fact that she and Audrey were on different paths. There were no major conflicts of interest between them, and both Oliver and Angus had a soft spot for Audrey. Going against Audrey would only invite trouble.
Feeling the office was too noisy, Audrey walked out to the corridor for some fresh air, wanting to calm down. Suddenly, her phone rang, and she saw it was Quentin calling.
Why would this guy call her? Without hesitation, Audrey hung up the call. Shortly after, her phone beeped with a message from Quentin.
"Mrs. Johnson, there are only four spots available for the selection of outstanding teachers this time. My uncle is in charge of the selection. If you want to secure a spot, come to my place at 7 p.m. tonight. Let me have my way with you, and I'll help you get the spot. Your husband has been away for so long, I bet you're itching down there, craving a man to satisfy you. Tonight, I'll make sure you have a good time."
Seeing the appalling content of the message, Audrey's face turned pale with anger. She didn't expect Quentin to be so shameless. She wanted to call and give him a piece of her mind, but she quickly calmed down. She knew Quentin's intention was to provoke her, and the angrier she got, the more satisfied he would be.
Taking a deep breath, Audrey deleted the message and added Quentin's number to the block list, ensuring he couldn't call or message her again.
"F**k, no shame." Quentin waited for Audrey's response but received none. When he tried calling again, it showed that the call was in progress. He knew Audrey had blocked him, feeling a surge of anger and deciding to teach Audrey a lesson.
