"Let me in," Kevin said, his voice a bit shaky, feeling uneasy about Audrey's sudden disappearance and getting more anxious by the second.
"Kevin, I'm really tired. Can we just call it a night?" Audrey replied hesitantly. "Can we talk about this tomorrow?"
Kevin felt a pang of sadness as he noticed Audrey's sudden coldness towards him. He couldn't figure out what he might have done wrong this time.
But he didn't argue. He stifled a yawn and said, "Alright, Audrey. I'm beat too. Get some rest." With that, he got up from the bed and moved to the one next to it, making a bit of noise to help Audrey relax.
After a minute, Kevin quietly got out of his bed and went back to Audrey's side. With a sly smile, he noticed her blanket was a bit loose. Quickly, he lifted a corner of it, slipped under, and before Audrey could react, he wrapped his arms around her naked body.
"Kevin, what are you doing? We just talked about this!" Audrey exclaimed, squirming in discomfort. "Get out! I'm serious."
Kevin, not wanting to leave, held Audrey close, his body pressing against hers. He whispered, "Audrey, I'm a bit cold. Can I just cuddle? I won't try anything. Just hold you. Please?"
Audrey stopped protesting, the anger seeming to drain away. Perhaps it had been a pretense all along. After all, she was a married woman; being this close to another man was bound to have an effect. Even feigning indifference was a way of respecting her husband, Jason.
"Kevin, no funny business," Audrey said, squeezing her thighs around him. "If you try anything, I won't talk to you anymore."
"Don't worry, Audrey, I promise," Kevin said, though he found it amusing how quickly she trusted him. She needed to learn that men's promises weren't always reliable.
Kevin held Audrey carefully, making sure not to push his luck. He didn't want to risk her getting angry and leaving for Harmony County. That would be a big loss for him.
Despite their many encounters, every time with Audrey felt as exciting as the first. That's why Kevin valued her so much; unlike other women who might get bored after one night, Audrey always kept things fresh.

"Okay, Audrey," Kevin said, pretending to be obedient. But in the dark, holding a sexy, naked woman, it was almost impossible to keep his mind clear. It was like asking a cat not to play with a dangling string.
