Chapter 367: Revealing Hearts
After Kevin left, Alissa smiled and said, "Grace, I've brought the books you wanted, but they've been sitting for a while. I'm not sure if they're still useful."
"Of course, they're useful." Grace squatted down to look through the books in the box, teasing, "We used to make our own clothes. You didn't know, but fashion trends come and go. What's out of style now might be trendy again in a few years."
"By the way, Grace, are you really doing business with Bethany?" Alissa curiously asked, "How's the business going? Is it profitable?"
"We're just starting out, so not making much profit yet."
Grace stood up, gestured for Alissa to sit on a nearby chair, poured her a glass of water, and said, "I mainly assist Bethany in the store. If you're interested, we could work together. It's better than being a teacher and earning a fixed salary."
"I'll pass." Alissa shook her head, declining Grace's offer. She disliked dealing with strangers and, having been a teacher all her life, felt a bit snobbish about doing business.
Grace understood Alissa's nature and didn't insist. She looked at Alissa in surprise and said, "Alissa, how did your skin become so good? It's fair and smooth. What skincare products are you using? Tell me quickly."
Alissa, who often had outdoor physical education classes, had reddened skin from sun exposure, even with dark spots. Despite using sunscreen and skincare products, she was still troubled.
In Grace's memory, Alissa had always been unremarkable, with an average appearance. But today, Alissa seemed like a different person, with clear and radiant skin, looking much prettier.
"I'm at this age, who needs skincare products?" Alissa felt a bit proud seeing Grace's surprised expression but modestly said, "Grace, do you really think my skin has become fairer?"
"Of course." Grace reached out and touched Alissa's fair thigh, smiling, "So smooth, just like a young girl in her twenties. Alissa, you're not being honest with me. Don't worry, I won't tell anyone."
"Who said I'm not being honest? I really haven't lied to you."
