Chapter 907: The Decisive Text Message

"Wait a moment, Kevin," Willow stopped Kevin from leaving and sighed. "To be honest with you, I'm Ivan's mother. My name is Willow."

What?! No way.
Kevin was stunned, looking the seductive woman up and down. She was actually the mother of that bastard Ivan, which meant she was the wife of Devon, the finance bureau director.

Thinking about how he had rubbed his penis against her vagina in the restroom, Kevin felt a bit embarrassed but also regretful. Had he known she was Ivan's mother, he would have fucked her right then and there. If Ivan found out that he had slept with his mother, it would drive him mad.

"You’re Ivan's mom?" Kevin said in disbelief. "You two don't look much alike."

Seeing Kevin staring at her face unabashedly, Willow frowned slightly but then smiled, "Ivan takes after his father, not me."

"No wonder," Kevin nodded. Willow had delicate features, fair skin, an alluring figure, and a captivating sway in her walk. She had an exceptional charm, yet she had given birth to such a useless son as Ivan.

Willow spoke softly, "Kevin, I know you and Ivan have had conflicts. Ivan has been spoiled by me since he was little, so he has a bit of a temper, but he's not a bad kid. Don't hold it against him. Auntie can tell you're a good boy. You two are in the same class; there's no need to be at each other's throats."

Kevin chuckled. Given all the trouble Ivan had caused, any other student would have been expelled long ago. The only reason he remained class president was because his father was the finance bureau director. Parents always thought their kids were good, even if they made mistakes. Kevin didn't bother explaining to Willow and said, "Auntie, I don't hold grudges. As long as Ivan doesn't mess with me, I won't mess with him. We can stay out of each other's way. Is that alright?"

Watching Kevin's departing figure, Willow shook her head helplessly. If Kevin were just an ordinary boy, she wouldn't have gone out of her way to try and mediate their conflict. But Kevin clearly had a close relationship with Maurice, who had just kicked out all the other officials' wives, leaving only Kevin. It was obvious she valued him highly. If Ivan kept antagonizing Kevin, and Kevin said something bad about Ivan to Maurice or Armando, it could affect her husband's career. After all, Armando was a principled man.

However, Willow knew her son well. Expecting him to swallow his pride and make peace with Kevin was too difficult. She would have to find a way to resolve their conflict herself. But Kevin didn't seem easy to deal with either.

Suddenly, she recalled the moment in the restroom when Kevin held her body, and an idea formed in her mind. This boy seemed very interested in her body. Perhaps she could use that angle. Boys his age were often curious about mature women.

Willow was confident in her looks and figure. Despite being in her forties, she was well-maintained, with skin as tender as a young girl's. Other officials' wives envied her during their mahjong games, and she still attracted a lot of attention from men. However, as the wife of the finance bureau director, she found it hard to lower herself to please a young boy.

In the end, Willow decided to abandon the idea of winning Kevin over. Her husband Devon was already the finance bureau director, a powerful position. Being promoted to deputy governor wouldn't make much difference. It was better to remain stable.

Still, ambition often knows no bounds. In the political world, people always strive for higher positions. Willow wasn't above that. If her husband ever became a deputy governor, she would be the deputy governor's wife, which sounded much better than being the director's wife.

Especially considering her rival Daisy, who was the deputy head of the song and dance troupe and had always overshadowed her. Daisy's husband, Oliver, was the principal of Sunset Valley High School, on par with Devon. Their daughter Laura was a top student, far better than Ivan, and they had a prestigious family background. In their small social circle, they were among the elite.

Both women had joined the song and dance troupe together, but Daisy had always outshone her, which made Willow unhappy. If Devon could rise to a deputy governor, it would put her above Daisy. Imagining Daisy being deferential to her made Willow feel elated, as if she were already the governor's wife, receiving everyone's respect.

...

Kevin returned home to find no one there. He called his mother, who told him she was busy with the new store renovation in the city and couldn't take care of him, so he had to manage on his own.

Relieved that his mother wouldn't question his whereabouts the previous night, Kevin felt hungry and went to the kitchen to cook some instant noodles. After eating, he went to his bedroom, feeling hot. He stripped down to his underwear and lay on the bed, intending to sleep. However, his mind drifted to last night's encounter with Kimberly and the morning incident with Willow, comparing the two women.

Kimberly was much younger than Willow, taller, with a slender figure and a unique youthful vitality. She was usually very proper, making it hard to have any improper thoughts about her. But her wild behavior last night had shocked him. Even now, he couldn't believe he had slept with his English teacher, feeling like it was a dream.

Kevin had thought Kimberly would be like Alissa, Evelyn, and Grace, who all became submissive after being with him. But Kimberly's reaction was completely unexpected. That slap had snapped him out of his fantasy. Kimberly was different from other women; she wouldn't easily accept another man, nor would she become wanton. She was strong-willed, much like his cousin Audrey. Kevin wondered how he would face her in the future.

Willow, on the other hand, was like Vanessa—seductive and easily aroused. If he had been more assertive, he might have had her. Thinking about almost sleeping with Ivan's mother made Kevin regretful. But if he had, the consequences would have been unpredictable. Devon, as the finance bureau director, wouldn't tolerate being cuckolded. It wasn't worth the risk.

Finally, Kevin thought of his cousin Audrey. Compared to her, both Kimberly and Willow paled in comparison. Kimberly was like a simplified version of Audrey, similar in many ways, but not as outstanding in appearance, figure, or temperament. Willow, a seductive mature woman, couldn't match Audrey's radiant beauty. If the three stood together, anyone's first glance would be at Audrey, not the other two. Audrey's voluptuous breasts were too tempting to ignore, perhaps her most defining feature.

Kevin wondered how Audrey was doing in Starhaven, whether her relationship with her husband Jason had changed. She had been gone for over half a month and should be returning soon. Since Audrey's harsh words last time, they hadn't contacted each other. Kevin felt a sudden urge to call her. Even if Audrey had cut ties with him, he was still her cousin. She couldn't ignore his call, right?

After hesitating, Kevin dialed Audrey's number. He didn't expect her to answer so quickly, but after just two rings, she picked up.

"Hello, what's up?" Audrey's familiar voice came through, neither cold nor warm, as if speaking to an acquaintance.

Kevin felt a pang of sadness, realizing Audrey might already see him as a stranger. He stammered, "Sis, how are you in Starhaven?"

"Not bad, just a bit hot," Audrey replied flatly. "Anything else?"

"When are you coming back home?" Kevin asked, feeling pained but unable to hold back.

"Oh, it'll be a while," Audrey sighed. "Kevin, you need to study hard back home. I spoke to Auntie; she's busy these days and can't look after you. You need to be self-disciplined and prepare for the next semester. Don't play around too much."

Audrey's words were like those of a teacher, with a hint of elder care, but no longer the warmth and intimacy of siblings. Kevin felt like crying but could only say, "Sis, I understand. I won't disappoint you."

"Good luck," Audrey said coldly before hanging up.

Kevin held the phone, feeling his heart sink into the deepest, darkest place, with no sound at all.

It seemed he and his cousin were truly over. If Audrey hadn't answered or had gotten angry, he wouldn't have felt so hopeless. But her calm conversation showed she had completely moved on. Despite all their shared memories and intimate moments, she had let go. Audrey was truly heartless.

Feeling miserable, Kevin sent Audrey a text message.

"Sis, I won't give up on myself. I'll live up to my own expectations. This is the last time I'll call you 'Sis.' From now on, I'll address you as Mrs. Johnson, just like when we first met. I wish we could go back to that time before everything happened, so I wouldn't be in such pain. Mrs. Johnson, don't worry. I won't bother you anymore. Enjoy your time in Starhaven. Goodbye!"
