"What's he doing here?" Kimberly's face changed as she furrowed her brows, saying, "Mrs. Johnson, I don't want to see him. Please ask him to leave."
"I can't help you with this." Audrey sighed and said, "Kimberly, despite being upset, you two are still a couple. Since he's here, you should talk to him."
The three returned to the dorm and found Grant sitting seriously on Kimberly's bed. Kimberly coldly asked, "Grant, what are you doing here?"
"Honey, I'm here to take you home, remember?" Grant's demeanor changed, smiling cheekily. "It's all my fault. I apologize now. Oh, and I need to apologize to Kevin too. I acted impulsively before. By the way, Mrs. Johnson, you're Kevin's cousin, right? I shouldn't have acted out last time. How about this, tonight I'll treat you and Kevin to dinner at the best restaurant in town, as a gesture of goodwill."
Surprised by Grant's change in attitude, Kimberly was taken aback, unsure of what to say.
Audrey, observing the situation, said calmly, "No need for dinner. Grant, I have to say a few words in front of Kimberly. She's been through a lot at school. Your frequent disruptions make her look bad. How can she teach at school if you keep causing trouble? And Kevin is just a kid. How could you be so heartless to him? You're a government official, resorting to violence, especially against a Youth. If I report this to your superiors, how do you think they'll view you? I won't say more. Think about your actions."
Grant broke out in a cold sweat at Audrey's words. If she reported him for violence to the authorities, he would be in big trouble. He quickly apologized, "Mrs. Johnson, I know I was wrong. I won't cause trouble at the school again. If I mess up again, I'll be a total jerk. Kimberly, please forgive me. I'll make things right, give me another chance."
Despite everything, Kimberly still had feelings for Grant. Seeing him sincerely apologize, she sighed and said, "Grant, why go through all this trouble? If I had known, why bother in the first place? Fine, go back now. I'll go home tonight."
"Alright, I'll head back now." Grant felt relieved, casting a lingering glance at Audrey before leaving the dorm.
Kevin, feeling uncomfortable, grumbled, "Kimberly, are you just going to forgive him like that? Don't forget how he treated you. If you go back like this, he won't realize his mistakes."
Blushing slightly, Kimberly knew she shouldn't forgive her husband so easily. But she didn't want to continue the cold war with him, especially after the climax she had just experienced with Kevin. She felt too sensitive, fearing that if they stayed apart, something might happen. She decided to go home quickly.
"Kevin, you're just a kid. Stay out of adult matters," Audrey sighed. "Kimberly, going back is the right choice. But don't trust a man's words entirely. Watch his actions. Don't rush to move out of the dorm. Stay at home for a few days and see how things go."
"I understand," Kimberly said gratefully. "Thank you, Mrs. Johnson. Thanks to your guidance during this time. Otherwise, I wouldn't have wanted to forgive him. Thinking about what he did makes me angry. Sometimes I feel like divorcing him."
Audrey advised Kimberly a bit more before turning to Kevin, "Kevin, hurry to the classroom. Today is the last day, and Mrs. Garcia must have arrangements."
Kevin realized he hadn't been to Alissa's office yet. He quickly left the teachers' dorm and hurried to Alissa's office. Knocking on the door, he waited for her response.
"Why knock? Come in already," Alissa glanced up, seeing Kevin at the door, and casually spoke while continuing to write.
Approaching Alissa, Kevin curiously looked at what she was writing. It was a training application. He couldn't help but ask, "Sis, are you going for training? When?"
"This summer, just got the notice this morning," Alissa smiled slightly. "I'll be in the provincial capital for about two months. I was hoping for a good break, but looks like that's out of the question now."
"Two months? That long?" Kevin was surprised. He had hoped to spend some quality time with Alissa during the summer break. Due to final exams, Alissa had limited their intimacy, and even when they were intimate, it was rushed. Now, with Alissa leaving so soon, he felt a bit down.

Thinking back to when Audrey suggested she compete for the position, Alissa wondered if Audrey had a hand in this opportunity. But she didn't dwell on it. With such a good chance in front of her, she was determined to seize it. The position of department head was very appealing to her.
Seeing Kevin looking dejected, Alissa smiled and reached out to ruffle his hair, pinching his ear teasingly. "Look at you, sulking like a donkey. I'm not disappearing, you know. Besides, I won't leave right away. I'll be in the city for a week. That should be enough time for you to have some fun."
