Chapter 987 The Temptation of a Young Woman
"Little Aunt..." Dean turned his head to see Audrey standing at the doorway, her expression one of surprise. Wrapped in a black nightgown, her tall and voluptuous figure was striking, her skin gleaming like jade. "Sister-in-law, where have you been this late?" Douglas smirked. "You weren’t out fooling around with a man, were you? Aren’t you afraid Big Brother will find out?"
Natalie's eyes narrowed as she looked at Douglas. "Who I sleep with is none of your business, or Jasper’s. Don’t you dare think too highly of yourself."
Douglas edged closer, grinning. "Sister-in-law, given our close ties, why should outsiders have all the fun? Let me enjoy myself too," he said, reaching for her again, his alcoholic breath making her wince.
Natalie stepped back and slapped him hard across the face. "Douglas, you’ve had enough! I’ve tolerated you for Red Hall’s sake, but you’re pushing it. Who do you think you are to proposition me? Look at yourself in the mirror."
Clutching his face, Douglas snarled, "Natalie, stop acting all high and mighty. You were a hostess before many men had you. Letting me have a turn isn’t a big deal. Haven’t you been siphoning money from Red Hall’s ledgers every month? Do you think I won’t tell Big Brother your dirty secret?"
"Go ahead, tell him. But don’t forget, you’ve enjoyed your share of that money. If things blow up, you won’t be off the hook either," Natalie retorted, revealing her cards. "I’ll return all the money if needed, but you won’t ever see another cent from me!"
Douglas was momentarily silenced. He had always found Natalie generous, giving him money whenever he asked. He had thought she treated him well, never realizing it was a trap.
"Douglas, you’re just Jasper’s lapdog," Natalie sneered. "Stay in your place, or you'll regret it," she finished and walked into her office.
Douglas's face alternated between red and white as hatred filled his eyes. Stumbling out, he dialed a number on his phone and gritted his teeth, "Big Brother, where are you? I need to talk to you."

Early the next morning, Kevin waited at Dawnridge's entrance with his backpack. Soon, Natalie’s red BMW pulled up. Kevin got in, and Natalie, smiling, asked, "Kevin, have you had breakfast?"
Kevin shook his head. He was too excited about the lake trip to think of eating. Natalie handed him a box of milk and a sandwich, chuckling, "Have a bite for the road. We’ll have a barbecue when we get to the lake." She floored the gas pedal, and the BMW roared out of the city, heading southwest.
The lake, called Pingzhuang Reservoir, was nestled in the mountains, surrounded by lush forests. It was a prime spot for tourism and Starfall Town’s largest wetland park, home to many rare birds.
The BMW wound its way up the steep, scenic mountain roads, leaving Kevin marveling at the views. Half an hour later, they arrived at the reservoir. Knowing someone at the management office, Natalie drove directly onto the dam. From there, one could take in the entire lake’s beauty. Kevin stood on the breakwater, gazing at the emerald waters, feeling as though he were inside a picturesque painting.
Natalie, dressed in a red dress with a sun hat and sunglasses, held a parasol. Her shapely legs, encased in black stockings, looked particularly alluring. She clung to Kevin’s arm, kissing and hugging him, drawing envious glances from nearby tourists who mistook them for lovers.
After taking numerous photos on the dam, Natalie drove Kevin to the resort area on the right side of the dam. There, they enjoyed various attractions like suspension bridges, water surfing, fishing, and water slides. Most visitors were couples or families, making Natalie and Kevin's pairing quite unusual.
Natalie exuded a mature, stunning aura, while Kevin appeared somewhat juvenile, like a toy boy kept by a wealthy woman. Embarrassed by the curious stares, Kevin wished Audrey were there instead. They had once visited a water park together, an experience he still fondly remembered. He vowed to bring her to this reservoir, which far surpassed the town's water park, someday.
"The damn weather is scorching! Hurry up and get over here. Wow, there are a lot of people today. Let's quickly get in line."
