Chapter 1381
Seeing Audrey's cold gaze, Kevin's heart skipped a beat. He knew Audrey was definitely upset again, so he quickly forced a smile, "Audrey, that's not what I meant. By the way, how many hours to Skyview City?"
"About four hours. If you're tired, you can take a nap first." Audrey responded helplessly. She was thinking about whether she would meet her classmates and teachers on this trip to Skyview City. Since following her husband Jason to Harmony County, she hadn't been to Skyview City and felt a bit nervous about returning to her hometown.
Kevin was indeed a bit tired, so he closed his eyes. The faint fragrance from Audrey beside him was soothing and intoxicating, quickly lulling him to sleep.
He didn't know how long he'd slept when the bus jolted, waking him. The outside was pitch dark, and he had no idea where they were. Audrey slept soundly on his shoulder, her rosy lips and fluttering eyelashes giving her a serene look. Noticing the others were also asleep, Kevin gently adjusted Audrey's position for her comfort. Instinctively, she snuggled closer and continued to sleep.
Kevin's thigh was pressed against Audrey's waist and hips, feeling the plump and warm sensation, which excited him. His penis couldn't help but erect again. He hadn't had sex with Audrey for a while, and although Grace, Daisy, and Kimberly had helped him release his desires, it couldn't fully satisfy him. The ecstasy and intoxication he felt when making love with Audrey were incomparable to any other woman.
He sneaked a kiss on Audrey's cheek, feeling her smooth and delicate skin full of collagen. He then placed his hand on Audrey's thigh, caressing her round and slender legs.
Audrey's eyes suddenly opened, feeling a touch on her thigh. Almost screaming, she relaxed upon recognizing Kevin. With a roll of her eyes, she quickly pushed him away, sat up, and nervously surveyed the surroundings. Observing that everyone was still asleep, she sighed in relief and whispered, "I warn you, Kevin, proper behavior is expected in Skyview City."
Reluctantly, Kevin withdrew his hand. At that moment, Zane's voice rang out from the front, "Everyone, we’re almost at the hotel. Stay close when you disembark and hand me your IDs. I'll handle the check-in process."
The bus became lively as the students from Maple Grove High started chatting. Kevin curiously looked out the window at the streets. Ravenfall was more bustling than Starfall Town, with many tall buildings, but it couldn't compare to the international metropolis of Oceancrest City.
As they entered the city, the traffic increased, and the bus took another half hour to reach their final destination, a three-star hotel near Evergreen Academy.
Kevin and Audrey were the last to get off the bus. As Audrey jumped down due to the high bus door, her large, full breasts jiggled noticeably, causing a burst of laughter from nearby.
Kevin looked up and saw a few boys from Maple Grove High staring unabashedly at Audrey's bouncing chest. One boy even mimicked the motion with his hands while talking to another boy, clearly saying something inappropriate.
Kevin seethed with anger, ready to teach them a lesson, but Audrey restrained him, advising against impulsiveness. Despite the boys' aggravating behavior, she insisted it wasn't worth creating a scene.
Everyone followed Zane into the hotel lobby. Zane took a stack of IDs to the front desk to check in, while the others waited. With the crowd around, Kevin didn't dare to get too close to Audrey and instead stared at the beautiful legs of the two female teachers from Maple Grove High.
Despite the younger female teacher being more attractive and slender, Kevin found himself more drawn to the older teacher, perhaps due to her resemblance to Alissa. Both embodied an air of elegance that stirred a man's desire for conquest. Additionally, the older teacher possessed a fuller figure and a voluptuous, substantial presence, much like Alissa. The thought of sex with her promised to be extraordinarily gratifying.
Suddenly, the female teacher noticed Kevin's gaze and looked at him sharply. Kevin quickly averted his eyes, thinking that this teacher's gaze was as intimidating as Alissa's, indicating she wasn't someone to mess with.
At that moment, Zane approached with the room key. The four boys from Maple Grove High were accommodated in two standard rooms, while the five girls and three female teachers occupied four standard rooms. This left Kevin and Zane sharing a standard room.
Thinking about sharing a room with Zane made Kevin uncomfortable. While Zane was distributing the room keys, Kevin said to Audrey with a frown, "Audrey, can we get our own room? I don't want to stay with that guy."
"Alright, just bear with it for two days." Audrey responded helplessly. She wasn't used to sharing a room with strangers, either, but as a representative of Harmony County Sunset Valley High, she couldn't make special arrangements. Besides, sharing a room with Kevin would attract unwanted attention.
Originally, a girl from Maple Grove High was supposed to share a room with Audrey, but the girl preferred to squeeze in with her friends, so Audrey got a single room.
After putting their luggage in their rooms, everyone prepared to go out for dinner. There was a restaurant diagonally across from the hotel, and Zane led everyone there. The students from Maple Grove High naturally took one table, while Zane, the three female teachers, and Kevin sat at another table.
Audrey and the two female teachers introduced themselves to one another. The younger teacher was named Maddy Nguyen, while the older teacher was Jillie Mitchell.
Everyone was starving, so they ordered several dishes and a bowl of noodles each. Kevin finished his bowl and still felt hungry, so he ordered another. He heard someone at the next table chuckle, "What a glutton."
Kevin turned his head to see a boy glaring at him provocatively, his friends laughing uproariously around him. Kevin felt a surge of anger and wanted to retaliate, but remembering Audrey's earlier admonitions, he suppressed his rage and continued eating in silence. Seeing Kevin's demeanor, Audrey's heart ached for him. She usually chided Kevin to guide him onto the right path, but others bullying him was utterly unacceptable. She flashed a slight smile and remarked to Zane, "Mr. Lopez, we come from a small place and are not accustomed to the ways of the city. Who would have known that students at Maple Grove High only eat a bowl of noodles?"
Zane, understanding Audrey's sarcasm, responded with an awkward smile, "Ms. Johnson, these kids just like to joke around. Pay them no mind."
Maddy, already envious of Audrey's looks and figure, felt even more irritated seeing Zane's fawning explanation to Audrey. With a cold sneer, she remarked, "Truly, having to refute even a student's casual remark shows a lack of sophistication."
The atmosphere at the table became tense. Jillie frowned and glanced at Maddy before sternly calling out to the boy at the next table, "Toby Carter, come here."
Toby stood up and walked over nonchalantly, "Ms. Mitchell, what's up?"
"What nonsense were you spouting just now?" Jillie glared at him, "Apologize to this student immediately."
"Why should I? I didn't say anything to him." Toby retorted defiantly.
"Fine, then you won't participate in this essay competition."Jillie said lightly.
Toby's expression changed, and after hesitating for a moment, he reluctantly apologized to Kevin before leaving the restaurant, clearly feeling humiliated.
Jillie then turned to Kevin with an apologetic look, "Kevin, I'm sorry. Toby is my student and likes to joke around, but he's a good kid. I hope you don't take it to heart."
Seeing the teacher not only force Toby to apologize but also offer an explanation herself, Kevin felt a growing respect for her. He quickly said, "It's all right, Ms. Mitchell, I don't mind."
The incident quickly blew over, but the unpleasantness lingered, making the atmosphere somber. After dinner, everyone returned to the hotel.
Audrey gave Kevin a few reminders before going to her room. Kevin reluctantly went to his room with Zane, feeling very uncomfortable. He had never shared a room with another man, especially not someone as annoying as Zane.
Zane went to the balcony and made a phone call, speaking respectfully, "Director White, this is Zane. I've settled all the participants near the school, just ten minutes away from the competition venue. Don't worry, I'll contact the organizing committee and ensure everything goes smoothly. This is something I should do."
Kevin overheard Zane talking to Angus and thought that Angus, the city education director, seemed very concerned about this essay competition. Could it be because he was participating?
Zane made a couple more calls, glanced at Kevin, and said impatiently, "You go to sleep. I have to meet the organizing committee and I might be back late."
With that, he hurriedly left.
Kevin finally breathed a sigh of relief. Spending the night with that guy would have driven him crazy. However, it was his first time in Skyview City, and he was too excited to sleep. Thoughts of Audrey's tall and sexy figure flashed through his mind, and his cock became restless again. But Audrey had just warned him not to look for her, as the hotel was full of cameras and people. If anyone found out, it would be disastrous. He tried to suppress his urges when his phone suddenly rang. It was Alissa calling. He quickly answered the call.
