Chapter 296 I've Got You Protected
The man, realizing the situation, couldn't wait to bend down and take off his pants. However, Audrey suddenly dropped her T-shirt, pushed the man forcefully, catching him off guard. With his pants halfway down, he lost his balance and fell heavily to the ground.
Audrey quickly opened the kitchen door and ran out, without second thoughts, she ran to the west room, calling out Kevin's name. Kevin had just fallen asleep for a while, hearing Audrey's voice, he sat up. Before he could even put on clothes, he felt a warm body throwing itself into his arms, crying uncontrollably. Startled, Kevin didn't know what had happened to Audrey, so he held his cousin's voluptuous body gently, comforting her in a soft voice. After a moment, Audrey stopped crying and told Kevin what had just happened.
Kevin, upon hearing this, was furious. Someone had dared to touch Audrey. Grabbing a pole by the door, he rushed out of the room. Worried that Kevin might get into trouble, Audrey followed closely. When they reached the kitchen door, they found that the man had already fled through the main gate. Kevin asked Audrey if she had seen the man clearly, but in the darkness, Audrey couldn't make out his features and could only shake her head helplessly.
At that moment, the lights in the osmanthus room came on. Osmanthus, dressed, walked out and seeing Kevin and Audrey standing at the kitchen door, asked in confusion, "What are you doing here, not sleeping in the middle of the night?"
"Caroline, a thief came in just now and scared my cousin," Kevin said, holding the pole, feeling resentful. The thought of Audrey being taken advantage of by that damn guy made him furious. If he caught the bastard, he would break his legs and cut off his thing.
"Really? Audrey, are you okay?" Osmanthus, feeling scared too, walked to Audrey, holding her hand, asking anxiously, "Did you see what the person looked like?"
Still shaken, Audrey, fearing that she had narrowly escaped being violated, hesitated. She suspected it might be Austin, who was having an affair with Osmanthus, as the voice sounded similar. However, lacking evidence and not wanting to reveal her peeping on Osmanthus and Austin, she hesitated and decided not to say anything, gently shaking her head, "I didn't see clearly."
"How could this happen? We rarely have thieves in our village," Osmanthus muttered to herself, shivering as she looked at the pitch-black yard.
To avoid alarming Audrey's father-in-law, Gerald Gray, the three quickly returned to the west room. Although the intruder had fled, the two women were still afraid, fearing he might return. Finally, Osmanthus, glancing at the tall and sturdy Kevin, suggested to Audrey, "Why not let Kevin sleep in this room tonight too? Otherwise, I won't be able to sleep."
"That doesn't seem appropriate," Audrey hesitated, "Kevin is already grown up. How can he sleep with us? If others find out, who knows what they might say."
"Oh, it's nothing. In our village, when conditions were poor, father-in-law and daughter-in-law used to share a bed," Osmanthus said, glancing at Audrey, thinking to herself that she didn't know if Audrey and Kevin had taken a bath together in the kitchen earlier. Now, pretending to be serious, she smiled and said, "Let Kevin sleep on the outer side. I'll sleep in the middle, and you sleep on the inside."
"But how can that be?" Audrey was getting anxious. Kevin had slept with her last night. If he fell asleep and mistook Osmanthus for her and did something inappropriate, it would be disastrous. However, sleeping in the middle didn't seem appropriate either. After some thought, she decided to let Kevin sleep in the middle so she could alert him if anything happened.
Kevin, on the other hand, was ecstatic. He never expected that after spending the whole day with Audrey without success, the intruder's actions had led Audrey to agree to sleep with him. And not just with Audrey, but also with Caroline. Although he had been with many women, he had never slept with two women at once. He was so excited that he almost jumped up. Despite his excitement, he tried to maintain a calm demeanor, looking innocently at Audrey. As Caroline had said, he was just a child who didn't understand anything.
