Chapter 270 Passion in the Kitchen
"You really are something else," Audrey Johnson sighed, shaking her head and giving Kevin a look. "I'll give you one more chance. If it happens again, I'll be really mad."
At that moment, Caroline came out of the kitchen carrying a steaming dish. She saw Audrey and Kevin talking closely and paused before smiling, "You two seem very close."
Audrey blushed, quickly pulling her hand away from Kevin 's and said sternly, "It's nothing. Kevin , go help Elder Sister-in-law."
"Oh, I understand."
Kevin realized his earlier actions might have seemed inappropriate. He hurried over to help Caroline, but she didn't let him. In their tussle, Kevin accidentally touched Caroline's breast. It felt soft and voluptuous, making him quickly withdraw his hand. Caroline shivered, almost dropping the dish, but seeing Kevin 's innocent expression, she lowered her head and walked towards the main house, feeling a tingle where he had touched her.
Back in the main house, Caroline brought out more dishes, smiling, "Our village can't compare to the city, Audrey, Kevin , you’ll have to make do."
Audrey laughed, "Elder Sister-in-law, what are you saying? I’ve lived in the village before. Kevin , you said you were hungry, so start eating."
She handed Kevin a large hamburger.
Kevin took the hot, soft hamburger, glancing at Caroline. She wore a tank top with no bra, her large breasts standing out prominently, nipples clearly visible. Her wild beauty made Kevin feel aroused, causing his member to stir. He quickly squeezed his legs together and took a bite of the hamburger.
The food was indeed better than what he usually had at home. Caroline explained that the wheat for the buns was grown in their own fields, making it tastier than store-bought bread, and the dishes were made from fresh produce from their garden.
Kevin ate heartily, devouring five hamburgers, leaving Caroline astonished. She hadn’t expected Audrey’s cousin to have such an appetite. Watching Kevin ’s strong, muscular frame reminded her of the sensation of his hand on her breast, making her thighs itch and her cheeks flush.
Audrey, after a few bites, asked, "Elder Sister-in-law, where is Jason’s elder brother?"
"Lucas works at the mine and often stays there, rarely coming home," Caroline said with a sigh. "I have to handle everything at home by myself. It’s tough."
After lunch, Audrey expressed her intention to return to the city, but Gerald Gray objected, "You’ve just arrived, and you’re leaving so soon? No, you should stay the night. Otherwise, the relatives will talk."
Caroline chimed in, "Yes, Younger brother's wife, you rarely visit. It wouldn’t be right to leave so quickly. Stay the night. The village might not be as comfortable as the city, but the air is fresher. You might not want to leave."
Audrey hesitated, feeling it was inappropriate to leave so soon. She agreed to stay. Gerald lived in the main house with his eldest son and daughter-in-law, while the east wing was for the couple. The west wing was empty and would be Audrey’s room for the night. Kevin would stay in the main house with Gerald.
As Caroline cleared the table, Audrey and Kevin helped. Kevin carried dishes to the kitchen, whispering to Audrey, "Sis, I want to stay with you."
Kevin felt uneasy staying in someone else’s house, especially away from Audrey, and didn’t want to be separated.
"Don’t be silly. This is my father-in-law’s house. How would it look if you stayed with me?" Audrey scolded, seeing his disappointed face. Softening, she added, "Just bear with it for one night. We’ll go back to the city tomorrow, and I’ll stay with you then, okay?"
Kevin reluctantly agreed, moved by her gentle tone. They reached the kitchen where Audrey and Caroline argued over who would wash the dishes. Suddenly, someone outside called for Caroline. Audrey smiled, "Elder Sister-in-law, you go ahead. Kevin and I can handle this."
She practically pushed Caroline out of the kitchen.
With Caroline gone, Kevin curiously examined the kitchen, noting how different it was from his own. A large jar stood by the door.
"Kevin , help me wipe my sweat," Audrey said, washing dishes in the sink. The midday heat was unbearable, and the kitchen felt like a sauna with the fire going. Audrey’s back was soaked, her T-shirt clinging uncomfortably to her skin.
