Chapter 711: Bringing Kimberly back to the dorm
As Armando thought about it, he shook his head in frustration. It was pretty pathetic that the Deputy County Mayor was afraid to be intimate with his own wife.
"Armando, just rest up, don't go to work this afternoon," Maurice said, sounding a bit harsh but genuinely concerned about her husband's health. She got up and added, "Work is important, but your health is even more crucial. I'll help you take a day off."
Although Armando was reluctant, he tried to twist his waist and felt a sharp pain, so he had to agree to his wife's arrangement.
Maurice took out her phone and dialed a number, saying, "Hey, it's Maurice. The boss isn't feeling well, so he won't be coming in this afternoon. Call me if there's anything urgent."
In the government office, a young man with a smile all over his face held his phone and said, "Auntie, don't worry, there's nothing urgent this afternoon. Let the boss rest, he's been working too hard lately and needs a break."
The young man was Armando's secretary. After taking Maurice's call, he pondered whether he should visit Armando.
Suddenly, a person peeked in at the door, and Connor frowned and asked, "Who's there?"
A tall, burly man walked in and greeted Connor with a smile, "Mr. Connor, is the boss around?"
"Oh, it's you," Connor recognized the office's Grant and chuckled, "What's up? Need to see the boss?"
"I need to report some work matters to Mr. Armando," Grant said. "Buddy, is Mr. Armando available this afternoon?"
"Bad timing, Mr. Armando isn't feeling well, so he won't be in this afternoon. Maybe another day," Connor replied.
"Alright, I'll come back another time," Grant left the office, feeling frustrated. He couldn't help but curse inwardly. Connor, younger than him by several years, was lucky to be Grant's secretary, strutting around the government office without anyone daring to mess with him. At least he could get close to Armando, unlike Grant. Life was unfair.
But Grant couldn't shake off Connor's words. With Armando unwell, it might be his chance to visit. However, he wasn't close to Armando, so it might be awkward to visit unannounced. It would be better if his wife went to visit, even if she got rejected, it wouldn't be as embarrassing.
Since Kimberly left for school, she hadn't contacted him. Grant initially thought she was just upset and would come back home soon, but she seemed determined to stand her ground this time.
The more Grant thought about it, the more uneasy he felt. He harbored deep hatred towards Kevin. If it weren't for that guy's interference, he wouldn't be in this mess. Now, he spent every night alone, tossing and turning, unable to sleep, thinking about his wife's alluring body. Luckily, Kimberly stayed with other female teachers; otherwise, Grant would worry about someone taking advantage of the situation.
However, the female teacher Kimberly lived with was quite attractive, with large breasts, at least an E-cup. Grant couldn't take his eyes off Audrey's almost bursting large breasts, thinking they were too big for him to handle with just one hand. He saw Audrey looking at him warily and quickly explained, "Hello, teacher. I'm here to see Kimberly. Is she in the dorm?"
"Oh, Kimberly went to the research room. They have a meeting this afternoon," Audrey said casually. She had heard about the conflicts between Kimberly and her husband in the past few days and held a strong disdain for the man in front of her, considering him far from a real man. Therefore, she didn't want to engage in much conversation with him.
"Can I wait here for her for a while?" Grant pleaded as Audrey prepared to close the door. "You know, teacher, Kimberly and I are a couple. It's not right for her to stay in the dorm all the time. I came today to take her back home. Could you please help me out?"
