Chapter 114 Enjoyment
The car stopped in the underground parking lot of a luxurious villa area.
Giorgio led Anna to the front of a villa, with a raised eyebrow.
"Guess where this is."
Anna didn't know.
But having grown up in the countryside, she had heard that on the second day after the wedding, she had to return to the Stefanelli family. Could this high-end villa be...
"The Stefanelli family?"
Giorgio lightly hummed, "You look surprised. Haven't you been to your own home?"
Anna neither confirmed nor denied.
She was sent away right after she was born. At 18, she came to Crownhaven, but it was to visit Fabio at the hospital. She didn't have a chance to go back home before the accident happened that night.
So, her family was this luxurious and extravagant.
But this luxury had nothing to do with her.
Finally, she understood what he meant by worrying about something before. It was indeed the Stefanelli family!
After all, her parents despised her to the core, and they wouldn't be treating her kindly today either.
Anna's brows furrowed, and she asked urgently again, "Mr. Vittorio, are you really not considering the honeymoon trip I mentioned before? When we come back after a month, Katherine will definitely be awake. If not, we can travel for two months if necessary."
She really didn't want to get involved in these prestigious family disputes.
Giorgio asked with a hint of sarcasm, "If Katherine never wakes up, do you plan to hide forever?"
Of course not!
Who would curse his own wife like that?
Anna really wanted to dig into his heart and see if it was filled with stones or ice. She replied indignantly, "After Katherine wakes up, be careful because I will inform her that you cursed her!"
Steeling herself, Anna courageously approached the door and rang the bell.
The door opened.
Standing inside was a man in black short sleeves and casual black pants, exuding a cold and arrogant aura.
When he saw Anna, he sneered, "You still have the audacity to come back. It seems like you have an incredibly thick skin."
His disdainful words were not masked in the slightest.
Anna looked at the man, her older brother, Fabio.
When they first met in the hospital, he was still smiling at her. But now...
"Fabio..." Anna hesitated, "Is there a misunderstanding?"
"Shut up," Fabio coldly interrupted her before she could finish her sentence.
"I only have one sister, Katherine! A woman like you has no right to be my sister."
Anna remained silent.
She had forgotten that her own parents rejected her, so how could Fabio possibly acknowledge her as his sister?
Suppressing the uncomfortable feelings in her heart, she forced a smile and said, "Mr. Stefanelli, please step aside."
Every time Fabio thought about Katherine lying unconscious in bed, anger surged within him.
"Do you think you deserve to enter this house? Even my dog Max is more loyal than you."
Max, was a dog.
Her brother insulted her using a dog.
Anna's face darkened.
A coldness flickered in Giorgio's eyes, and just as he was about to speak, Anna unexpectedly changed her expression.
"Mr. Stefanelli is right. I indeed don't deserve to come in. Fortunately, I have something to attend to, so I'll take my leave. Goodbye."
With those words, she turned and left without a trace.
Fabio hadn't expected her to be so stubborn. His face grew grim. "Damn it, today is the day for reporters and media to come to the house. Where do you think you're going? Come back!"
"Didn't you hear me? Stop!"
"Anna, have you gone deaf?"
No matter how much Fabio called out to her, Anna didn't turn back and continued walking away.
"This damn woman!"
Fabio cursed under his breath and angrily caught hold of her wrist.
"Anna, you should know that today's matters are not a joke. If you defy me, you won't have a good outcome."
Anna's wrist throbbed with pain. She never expected her brother to be so heartless towards her.
She smiled coolly, "You said I don't deserve to enter the house, and now you want me to go back? Also, let me make one thing clear. If this matter is exposed, it's not me who won't have a good outcome, but rather the Stefanelli family."
He was heartless, so why should she still have any attachment to him?
Fabio didn't expect that this country girl would dare to defy him.
Thinking of something, he let out a mocking laugh, "Indeed, from the beginning to the end, you've never considered us as family, have you? You've never considered me as your older brother! Otherwise, how could such words be spoken? How could you have escaped cold-bloodedly back then?"
Clearly, they never regarded her as family.
Anna asked puzzledly, "What escape?"
But Fabio didn't want to bring up the events of the past anymore, let alone be apart from her.
He coldly said, "Go back, after today, you can stay with The Vittorio family, and we won't have anything to do with each other."
In other words, he won't bother her anymore.
Anna only wanted to scare him a little, not let him think she is easy to bully.
"Since Mr. Stefanelli pleaded with me, I'll give you face."
She smiled radiantly, turned around, and walked to Giorgio's side, holding his hand as they entered the house.
Fabio's face turned pale with anger. Once Katherine woke up, he would have chances to deal with her!
Giorgio knew Anna wouldn't let anyone bully her. His eyes glanced over her calm face, and he smirked.
"If it continues like this, you will make more enemies."
Anna didn't say a word.
Clearly, it was Fabio who caused trouble for her first!
She forgot that if Giorgio and Katherine got married, Fabio would be his brother. Was he accusing her of how she treated Fabio?
"None of your business!" She suddenly dropped those words, let go of his hand, and went in alone.
Giorgio frowned.
Why was she getting angry with him for no reason?
She was such a hot-tempered woman.
In the living room.
Davide and Carla invited reporters to capture this family gathering for the sake of promoting this wedding.
During the photoshoot, they wore kind and gentle expressions, laughing and talking.
As soon as the reporters left, their attitude changed immediately.
"Anna, you've made Katherine suffer. Tell me, how could you be so heartless?"
"My dear, let it go. However much you despise her, it won't help Katherine wake up. Anna, go and clean Katherine's body!" Carla ordered with a cold face.
Anna was taken aback, "What?" She wasn't a servant!
Carla sarcastically taunted, "What's the matter? You enjoy everything about Katherine, and there's a 90% chance that you're the culprit. Is it beneath you to clean Katherine's body?"
Forget it, arguing with them is pointless. It's better to go and clean Katherine's body.
Anna stood up and went straight to Katherine's room.
The once beautiful and glamorous Katherine lay on the bed, her face pale and devoid of color.
In the air, there was only the sound of medical equipment and the IV.
Anna couldn't help but sigh and complain, "You're resting while I'm suffering. Katherine, please wake up. I don't want to replace you as Giorgio's wife, or even spend time with him. That heartless and boring man, only you see him as a treasure." I just want to go back to Vista Heights and restore a peaceful life. Let me tell you, if you’ve been unconscious all this time, and yet your beloved husband can only belong to me," she scoffed and threatened at the same time.
She continued to wipe her hands and face without pausing, finishing with her front and then preparing to wipe her back. But without paying attention to her strength, there was a loud 'thump', and Katherine fell to the ground!
Beep! Beep! Beep!
Medical instruments continued to emit sounds. Katherine on the ground had accelerated breathing, her chest heaving intensely. Her fingers twitched in surprise! Was she waking up?
