Unexpectedly, Giorgio's cold and elegant voice came through first. "Is it about the news?"
"Yeah, did you do it?" Anna asked.
She wasn't sure if it was him; she felt he had no reason to do so.
Giorgio raised an eyebrow, answering, "No. Wasn't it you?"
Anna was instantly surprised as she said, "It wasn't me either. So what's going on? It couldn't be that the doctor exposed himself, right?"
A vague sense of unease crept into her.
Giorgio said in a deep voice, "Well. Since it has nothing to do with you, let's just wait and see."
Anna responded," Okay." There was nothing else to do now.
With that, the air grew a bit quiet.
Giorgio was silent for a few seconds, then said somewhat displeased, "Two days without contact, and you have nothing else to say to me? Or if it weren't for the news, you wouldn't have called me?"
The rhetorical question left Anna stunned, and she quickly shook her head, defending herself. "No, I've been messaging you these past two days, but you didn't reply."
Giorgio raised an eyebrow, retorting, "So, it's my fault?"
Anna was left speechless for a moment and then said, "Why do you always twist my words? I'm just telling the truth."
Pursing her lips, she carefully asked, "Giorgio, are you still mad?"
Giorgio thought, 'Shouldn't I be mad?'
Besides, what had she done to appease him these past two days besides sending a few texts? She was still taking care of Simon!
But hearing Anna's voice, he realized ignoring her was an even more foolish move. She didn't understand the problem and would only become more brazen in going to Simon's side.
Thinking for a while, Giorgio said, "I'm still mad. If you don't come back to Crownhaven to appease me within three days, don't tell others we know each other."
With that, he hung up the phone.
Anna was stunned. Go back within three days? But Penny had yet recovered. And not telling others they knew each other? Was that a breakup?
Giorgio's jealousy was terrifying!
"What are you thinking? If I were you, I'd be packing my things and flying over there right now," Sara elbowed Anna and couldn't help but add, "Don't blame Mr. Vittorio. If any other man knew his girlfriend was taking care of another man, he'd be furious. You should be more sensible."
Anna: "But you know Simon has a bad stomach. I was just taking care of him out of gratitude. And I was only cooking, nothing else."
Sara nodded. "Yes, I know. But you used to date Simon, and you even told Mr. Vittorio you had an emotional affair. Do you think Mr. Vittorio wouldn't care? If he didn't care, it means he doesn't love you."
Hearing that, Anna realized she had forgotten about that.
Well, Simon was recovering these past two days, and Penny's condition was optimistic. She might as well transfer Penny to Crownhaven Hospital.
Anna planned this and went with Sara to find the doctor to see if a transfer was possible.
Unexpectedly, the doctors and nurses were gathered around, curiously gossiping and looking at a computer, excitedly discussing.
"Katherine came out to explain!"
"See what she says!"
"Maybe there's a twist."

Anna frowned and quickly moved closer.

With that, she turned on the computer and switched to the screen.
In the video, she was seen walking out of the office numbly, encountering several people along the way, and finally fainting in the underground parking lot.
