Chapter 47 Future Daddy

About ten minutes later, in the darkness, Penny's unusually dark and bright eyes opened mischievously.

She reached out her little hand, found Anna's phone, sneaked out of bed, went into the bathroom, closed the door, and dialed Giorgio's number.

Giorgio was in a bad mood and felt restless. After putting Charlie to sleep, he couldn't fall asleep himself.

Images of Anna and Simon kept involuntarily appearing in his mind. Damn it, what was he even concerned about?

"Ring ring." The phone rang.

Giorgio picked up the phone and saw that it was Anna calling. Furrowing his brows, he swiped
to answer.

But what he heard was the sound of a girl crying, "Future daddy, why didn't you come to pick me up? I waited for you all afternoon, longing for you, thinking about you, missing you... I'm so sad, so miserable~~"

Giorgio had been too busy today and completely forgot about this. Moreover, he hadn't promised her to come today.

However, listening to the little girl's cries, he felt a sense of guilt as if he had committed an unforgivable act, "Don't cry, where's your mommy?"

He had looked into the information yesterday and already knew that her father had passed away, her mother had run away, and she was taken care of by Wendy and Anna, who she called mommy.

Upon hearing this, Penny cried even more sadly, "I'm so sad that my heart is about to cry itself out, and you're asking about other women. You're a bad guy, a scumbag."

Giorgio was shaken at her language. Did this little girl even understand these terms?

He didn't know how to comfort someone sincerely, so he straightforwardly said, "I'm sorry, I'll come to pick you up tomorrow afternoon."

Penny stopped crying and then said, "No, I don't believe you. You promised me last night, and because of that, I told my classmates, but they laughed at me in the afternoon, threw stones at me, and called me the king of liars."

Thinking about those things, she started crying again.

Giorgio furrowed his brows. Were the kids at the kindergarten so uncivilized?

A cold aura surrounded him as he said, "Tomorrow, I'll take care of them for you."

Dominant, protective, and doting. Penny's heart warmed, and she tearfully asked, "How will you prove it? Unless you say that lying to me is like saying 'I'm a little puppy.'"

Would Giorgio say something like that?

He said, "I never break my promises."

"You broke your promise, I don't care. I won't believe you unless you swear, then cry all night, even if I cry myself to death, I'll count it as nothing." Penny's crying voice was deafening, piercing through the eardrums.

Giorgio had always disliked women crying, but at this moment, he didn't feel annoyed. Instead, he felt heartache and unable to bear it. Giorgio's cool lips pursed slightly for a full five seconds before he reluctantly squeezed out, "I'll pick you up tomorrow, not going would be like abandoning a puppy."

"Like a puppy!"

"...Not going would be like abandoning a puppy."

Finally, Penny was satisfied, saying, "Yeah, love you. I'll wait for you tomorrow, future daddy. Goodnight!"

After hanging up the phone, Giorgio rubbed his temples with his hand, feeling quite helpless.

What was wrong with him? It was one thing to be special to Anna, but being manipulated by a little girl?

Although unsatisfied, but worried about breaking his promise tomorrow, he set an alarm as a reminder before going to sleep.

Night, deep and quiet.

The next morning.

When Anna woke up, Sara had already taken Penny to school. After taking a shower, she went straight to the villa, completely unaware that her phone had been used.

Unexpectedly, as soon as she stepped out of the residential area, she saw Simon. She waved hi to him, and he said a sweet a good morning. They walked inside the house together.

Mr. Vittorio's anger knew no bounds as frustrations engulfed his entire being. The depths of his emotions were vividly portrayed through the furrowed lines on his forehead and a mighty fire in his eyes. He seemed to wear his wrath like a cloak, overwhelming all with its fierceness and intensity.

The cause of his wrath lay in a betrayal so profound that it pierced the very core of his trust. Words spoken in secrecy had found their way to the ears of his enemies, unraveling his well-crafted plans and exposing his vulnerabilities. The treachery was a bitter wound that seared his soul, leaving him throbbing with anguish and fury.

In the stillness of his solitude, Mr. Vittorio pondered the gravity of the situation, seeking solace from the storm that raged within. His thoughts danced through the intricacies of the situation, contemplating the potential consequences and evaluating his options. There was no doubt that action needed to be taken, but the path forward was shrouded in uncertainty.

Yet, amidst this chaos, a flicker of determination began to burn within him. Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, he vowed not to succumb to defeat. His anger transformed into a potent fuel that would propel him forward, pushing him to overcome this setback with insurmountable strength and unwavering resilience.

And so, with each breath, Mr. Vittorio harnessed his anger, allowing it to mold him into a formidable force to be reckoned with. He would emerge from this tempest stronger, more cunning, and unyielding in his pursuit of redemption. The world would soon realize the magnitude of their mistake, for in his anger, Mr. Vittorio found the seeds of triumph, ready to sprout and bloom in due courses awake and playing in his room. “Do you need help with anything, Miss Stefanelli?"

Anna smiled gratefully at Simon and shook her head. "No, thank you. I'll just wait for him to come down."

In the meantime, Simon and Giorgio exchanged some pleasantries and began discussing their business plans in the living room. Anna couldn't help but feel a bit left out, but she understood that this meeting was crucial for their future. Plus, she didn't want to impose herself in a conversation that didn't concern her.

Finally, Charlie descended the stairs, rubbing his eyes sleepily. As soon as he saw Anna, he let out a squeal of delight and darted towards her. Anna scooped him up in her arms, showering him with kisses and tickles.

"Good morning, my little prince! Did you sleep well?" she asked.

Charlie giggled and nodded; his little arms wrapped tightly around her neck. Anna couldn't help but feel a surge of love for the adorable little boy in her arms.

Simon approached them, a warm smile on his face. "Looks like you have a fan, Anna. Charlie absolutely adores you."

Anna blushed and smiled back. "Well, what's not to adore? He's such a sweet and smart little boy."

As they spent the day together, Anna couldn't help but notice how well Simon and Charlie got along. They laughed, played games, and Simon even helped Charlie with his homework. Anna knew in her heart that Simon would make a wonderful father, and it only deepened her attraction toward him.

As the sun set and darkness enveloped the villa, Anna found herself sitting on the porch with Simon, the twinkling stars reflecting in their eyes. In that moment, everything seemed perfect, and Anna couldn't help but hope that this happiness would last forever.
