Chapter 56 No Crush on Him

"Giorgio?" Katherine lightly touched his arm, clearly unhappy. Why did he look at Anna at this moment?

Giorgio averted his gaze and responded coldly, "Hmm." He changed the subject and asked Viviana, "I heard from the butler that you're not feeling well?"

Viviana sighed, "Giorgio, I am getting old. I can clearly feel that my body is not as good as previous years. I'm afraid I won't live much longer. The reason I called you this time is to tell you that when you come back from Vista Heights, you should have your wedding. I don't want to leave with regrets."

Her gentle words were both a request and a command, making it impossible for anyone to refuse.

Giorgio is responsible for Katherine, after all. She gave birth to his child and waited for him for so long. Moreover, she has won his grandmother's favor. How can he refuse?

Giorgio said, "Grandmother, you will live a long life. Let's discuss the wedding when I come back."

To ‘discuss the wedding when he comes back’ was not up a refusal, so both Viviana and Katherine interpreted it as acceptance.

"Good, I'll wait for you to come back. Let's decide on a date for the wedding. Your wedding must be grand and make headlines worldwide."

Katherine smiled beautifully and said, "Thank you, Viviana. It's my blessing to have such a good relative like you. I will take good care of Giorgio and Charlie. I will bring you some local specialties when I come back. The peaches here are delicious. When I eat them, I think of you, Grandma. I believe you will also enjoy them."

Viviana beamed with a warm smile, "Yes, you gave me some to taste back then, and I still remember it."

Back then, Viviana and a group of friends were tourists in Vista Heights when they got trapped and injured in a heavy rainstorm. It was Katherine who appeared and braved the rain to find medicine, ensuring their safety for two days and nights.

Viviana truly believed Katherine was kind, brave, and capable, a special girl. When she returned home and encountered Katherine again in Crownhaven, she learned about her identity and immediately arranged her engagement to Giorgio!

In addition to gratitude, there was another significant reason. The First Lady who was with them at the time also considered Katherine as her savior and instructed future generations to remember to be grateful to the Stefanelli family and take care of Katherine. Katherine becoming part of the Vittorio family was therefore a natural outcome.

In the loving room, Anna was frantically texting Sara. She had carefully perused the documents given to her by Katherine. She called the hospital that was listed, but they said they didn’t have a patient with her grandma’s name it.

As she saw Katherine coming back, Anna took a deep breath, steeling herself for the confrontation she knew she had to face. Pushing aside her apprehension, Anna approached cautiously.

"Katherine, we need to talk," Anna said firmly, trying to keep her voice steady despite the nerves gnawing at her.

Katherine glanced at her, a smug smirk playing on her lips. "Oh, it's you," she sneered. "What do you want?"

Anna clenched her fists, trying not to let Katherine's arrogance get to her. "I want to know where my grandmother is," she replied, her voice unwavering.

Katherine leaned back in her chair, her eyes never leaving Anna's face. "And why should I tell you?" she said, her voice dripping with contempt.

"Because she's my family," Anna said, trying to keep her emotions in check. "I deserve to know where she is."

Katherine's smirk widened. "Oh, I'll tell you where she is," she said, her voice low and threatening. "But only if you promise to leave Giorgio. He doesn't belong with the likes of you."

Anna's heart pounded in her chest, anger mixing with sorrow at Katherine's vindictiveness. "You can't dictate who I'm with and what I do," she shot back, her voice firm. "Now tell me where my grandmother is."

Katherine's eyes narrowed, and for a moment, Anna thought she might refuse. But then, she relented, her lips curling into a sinister grin. "Fine, she's at an old farmhouse on the outskirts of town," she said. "But remember, once you leave Giorgio, that's the only time you'll get to see her again." Katherine smiled at her devilishly, then left her behind as she went back to Giorgio and Charlie.

Anna called up Sara and broke down crying. She told her the entire story, narrating the new trick her twin had up her sleeve. Sara replied asking if Anna was planning on telling Mr. Vittorio the truth and if she was preparing in advance.

Anna replied that she just doesn't like being threatened and that she has only seen her grandmother through photos for so many years and really misses her.

And how could she tell Giorgio the truth? Infact, what would she tell him? Where would she start?

Sara suggested they find a way to locate her grandmother together, but then jokingly pointed out that Anna didn't even curse Mr. Vittorio when talking about him, hinting at the seeds of love growing.

Anna replied with a goodbye and Sara joked that she seems emotional when it comes to Mr. Vittorio and she's currently torn between Anna and Giorgio or Anna and Simon, with Giorgio winning by one point.

Anna remained silent. Leave it to her best friend to try to cheer her up through the strangest of ways.

Just then, Anna heard a voice at the door saying "Giorgio~," Katherine and Giorgio entered the room.

Anna immediately put away her phone and arranged the LEGO toys she had prepared for Charlie.

Katherine glanced at her and deliberately got close to Giorgio, saying they should finish their work quickly and go back to be with Viviana, who is old and wants her family by her side. She suggested that Anna also find a way to make time and go back to main city Crownhaven with them.

"Look, mom, dad, brother, and grandma will all be there. Anna, please come and attend mine and Giorgio's wedding."

Wedding?

Were they getting married?
