Chapter 340 Impure Thoughts?

The same tone of voice. The same rhetorical question. This was definitely a threat!

Giorgio stared at the girl in front of him and suddenly felt that she was smart, courageous, wise, and cunning like a little fox. Interesting.

He smiled ambiguously and said, "Niece-in-law, I'm curious to see how you won't let me go. I'm looking forward to your performance."

Then, he gracefully and gentlemanly walked back to the house.

Anna stood still, speechless. What? She was threatening him, so why wasn't he afraid of her exposing everything? And he even looked forward to her performance? Was he really so lawless and fearless?

Damn bastard!

Early morning, Judy, who had just returned from M Country, turned on her phone and immediately saw the message sent by Giorgio. She quickly reported this to Katherine.

Katherine looked at the message and became furious. Giorgio wanted Anna to go to him late at night? And he wanted to see Anna alone? This was completely different from how he usually treated her coldly!

Did everyone like Anna?

Very good, she wanted to show them that Anna was simply a useless woman! She picked up her handbag and headed to the Thorne Residence.

The morning air was lovely. Anna woke up and was surprised to find Giuseppe not at home. Did he leave so early?

She tidied up for Penny, made breakfast, and said, "Be good, eat quickly so we can go to school."

"Wow! Auntie Anna, Penny, you're having breakfast!" Unexpectedly, Charlie's voice rang out.

He ran in with his backpack and sat directly at the table. "Auntie, can I eat with you?"

Anna loved and worried about him at the same time. She loved him because he was her son, and she would be willing to eat not just one meal but a lifetime with him.

She worried because Katherine would definitely think she did it on purpose.

But she couldn't kick the child out. She forced a smile and said, "Yes, eat. Afterward, hurry to school."

"But Auntie, Dad didn't eat either, let Dad eat with us too." With the child's words, a tall and noble man entered the dining room.

Before Anna could refuse, the child said again, "As a thank you for having breakfast with us, Dad will send you and Penny to school later!"

Anna was speechless. Could she refuse?

What was going on with Charlie? She had said so much last night, so why did he do this? What if Giuseppe came back and saw? How would she explain?

"No! I don't want him to eat Mommy's food and I don't want to ride in his car." Penny's reaction was more intense than Anna's. She glared at Giorgio with a pouting face.

Clearly, she was still angry about what had happened before.

Giorgio looked at the little girl's unfamiliar and angry appearance, feeling a mysterious pain in his heart. He walked over and knelt down. "Sorry about before. As an apology, I bought you a limited edition Barbie doll."

Penny retorted, "I don't want it. Mommy has money, Mommy can buy it."

Giorgio added, "Elsa figurine, only one in the world, plus I will treat you to ice cream for the entire summer. In addition, I will pick you up and drop you off at school every day, and you can ride in the same car as Charlie."

"Wow! In that case, I forgive you, but you're not allowed to be mean to me, scold me, or ignore me. You can't refuse any requests I make."

Facing the child's string of demands, Giorgio didn't feel annoyed at all. On the contrary, her puckered little lips were quite adorable.

He ruffled her head and said, "Okay."

Anna, on the side, was speechless.

Was this her daughter? How could she be so easily bribed?

The key was that Giorgio actually said he would pick up and drop off the children at school every day. Was he crazy?

After dropping the two children off at school, the atmosphere in the car was extremely quiet.

Anna looked at the perfect profile of the man in the front seat and said, "Giorgio, as a father, shouldn't you guide your child in the right direction? Shouldn't you prevent him from having improper thoughts? And also, can you please stop hovering around me?"

Giorgio raised an eyebrow and glanced at her through the rearview mirror. "Improper thoughts? What kind of improper thoughts does Charlie have? And when have I been hovering around you?"

"What about you? Charlie often tries to set us up! And you, you pick up and drop off Penny at school every day, don't you?" Anna argued, expressing her opposition and dislike of his current behavior.

After hearing her words, Giorgio smiled lightly and confidently spoke, "Charlie just wants to have breakfast and go to school with Penny. As a father, I worry about his health and fulfill his requests. It seems that our niece-in-law has a different perspective."

His meaningful words, accompanied by a smile, clearly indicated that he believed she had impure thoughts and wild imagination.

Anna blushed and was at a loss for words. How could he twist the truth like that? Or maybe he really didn't have any ulterior motives? Was she just overthinking?

No, it couldn't be. Even if he didn't, Charlie definitely did!

She said, "Giorgio, you should study psychology in your free time to understand children better."

As soon as her words fell, Giorgio's phone rang.

Glancing at the incoming call, his gaze darkened slightly as he answered, "Giorgio, I heard that Anna is riding in your car to take the kids to school. She should be with you now. Could you ask her to take the call?" It was Giuseppe speaking.

Giorgio raised an eyebrow. "Doesn't she have a phone? Why did you call me? What are you trying to prove?"

"Well, her phone is broken. I'll buy her a new one later."

Giorgio coldly switched to speakerphone. "She's right here, go ahead."

Soon, Giuseppe's warm and concerned voice came through the system. "Anna, I'm sorry. There was a sudden problem with a project last night, so I rushed to the office. I was worried it would disturb your sleep, so I didn't say hello to you in advance. How did you sleep last night?"

Anna didn't expect it to be Giuseppe calling, especially while she was with Giorgio. She felt somewhat awkward, "Yes, I slept well. Don't worry."

Her shy demeanor, resembling that of a young wife, was completely different from her usual confrontations with him.

Giorgio tightened his grip on the steering wheel, revealing the tendons on the back of his slender hand.

Giuseppe continued, "Anna, I have a lot of work to do lately and might not be able to come home. Can I trouble you to bring me meals every day? Mainly the ones you cook, I can't eat anything else. But I'm worried it might be too much of an inconvenience for you."

Hah, he also knew about inconveniences?

Giorgio sneered coldly.

In the backseat, Anna showed no sign of aversion. Compared to him rescuing her, cooking and running errands for him were trivial matters.

"Alright, you must not have had breakfast yet, right? I'll go home and make it for you, then bring it over."

"Thank you."

"Don't thank me! See you later."

The phone call ended.

Anna didn't notice the man's icy expression from the driver's seat at all. She said, "Giorgio, please stop here, I want to get off."

Her words were urgent, too proactive, and attentive.

She was really good to Giuseppe.

"Stop the car here? Do you think you can just park wherever you want on the Empire's roads?"

Huh? There was clearly a temporary parking spot up ahead where he could have pulled in.

Anna was about to speak when something unexpected happened.
