Chapter 490 His Heart Has Left Too
In the restroom, Anna didn't wanna cry. But thinking about Giorgio's past moves, the warmth of his big hand still lingering on her like a brand, burning her skin and her heart, she couldn't help but bawl her eyes out.
She realized he was totally over their relationship, both emotionally and physically. And the one to blame for all of this was herself. She had completely lost him.
Tears streaming down, Anna cried her heart out, but she didn't dare make a sound. The next moment, her phone buzzed. She took it out; it was a message from Sara.
[Katherine got wasted. I left her in the underground parking lot and took some pics. Let her sleep it off there for the night. Anna, where are you? Back at the hotel?]
Anna snapped back to reality. She couldn't stop here; she still had to avenge her grandma, and Penny was still waiting for her. Now was not the time for emotional breakdowns.
She wiped away her tears and quickly replied: [Plans have changed. I was taken upstairs. Wait for my update.]
After sending the message, Anna quickly turned off her phone and took out a packet of pills from her bag. They were sleeping pills she had prepped for Elena, but now she could only use them on Giorgio.
Five minutes later, Anna walked out of the restroom. Meanwhile, Giorgio was chilling on the sofa, reading a magazine, like a perfect picture. But he was no longer the Giorgio who loved and pampered her.
"The new jewelry collection is nice. Do you like it? I'll have Tony buy it." His smooth, gentle voice was full of huskiness.
She knew his gentleness was now for Katherine. Anna clenched her hands tightly, suppressing her emotions, and forced a smile. "It's okay. Giorgio, you should drink the soup first."
She walked to the table to get the soup, turned her back to him, and quickly shook the pills into the bowl, then brought it to him.
Giorgio's deep eyes looked at her, his noble posture leaning back on the sofa, his voice doting. "Feed me."
When did he become so spoiled!
Anna was both angry and hurt, and also frustrated. But to leave as soon as possible, she had to do as he said.
Giorgio could tell Anna's actions seemed gentle but were actually stiff. It seemed she wasn't willing to do so.
A dark look flashed in Giorgio's eyes, and he said, "You used to feed me with your mouth. Why are you using your hands now?"
Hearing that, Anna's hand shook violently, almost spilling the bowl. She really didn't expect he could do so many intimate things with Katherine. Or maybe, the intimate thing they did in the restroom that day, he also did with Katherine.
Thinking of that, a feeling of disgust flashed in her heart, and Anna quickly lowered her head, not letting him see her emotions, and explained, "I drank at the party today and haven't brushed my teeth. Let's just eat like this, okay? If you don't eat, it'll get cold."
A spoonful of soup was brought to his mouth. Giorgio didn't say anything more, opened his mouth, and ate it.
As soon as he finished, a wave of drowsiness hit him. The next second, he collapsed on the sofa.
Seeing this, Anna quickly stood up, took his keys, and ran out, calling Sara on the way, "Sara, bring Katherine to the elevator."
"Okay."
Soon, the two of them brought the drunk Katherine upstairs and put her in Giorgio's room.
Sara said, "I was gonna expose her bad deeds, but she got lucky tonight. But I won't let her off."
Sara tapped on Katherine's phone a few times, then left satisfied.
The next morning, the alarm rang. Giorgio woke up, seeing the familiar surroundings. He glanced at the blanket on him, his eyes darkened. Then he got up and walked to the bedroom.
Katherine was sprawled out on the bed, snoozing away, with her phone buzzing non-stop beside her.
'She didn't leave?' he thought. He walked over, picked up the phone, and turned off the alarm. The next second, the screen lit up with a steamy movie scene, in which a gangbang involved several guys and one girl was undergoing!
At that moment, Giorgio realized this was Katherine's phone, not Anna's.
So Anna had swapped her out and bailed?
"Giorgio?" Katherine woke up, looking all confused and shocked. Why was she crashing at Giorgio's place?
Seeing the phone in his hand, worried that some messages might be seen, she quickly sat up and said, "Sorry, I need to make a call."
Her quick movements seemed guilty to Giorgio, and a look of intense disgust crossed his face.
Katherine wanted to turn off the phone, but then she saw the scene on the screen! Looking again, she found Giorgio's eyes were full of disdain and extreme disgust.
She quickly explained, "Giorgio, it's not what you think. I don't know how this happened. I didn't play this."
"Katherine." Giorgio coldly interrupted her, staring at her. He continued, "If you have such needs, I don't mind. Just not here. Get out."
With that, he turned and went into the bathroom.
Katherine stood frozen, her face pale with shock. All these years, Giorgio never made love to her. She did have some kinks, but she had no memory from last night to today! He had just started to treat her better, and now her image was ruined.
Damn it!
Katherine walked out of the apartment and called Elena, "What happened last night? Was I very drunk?"
Why couldn't she remember anything?
Elena replied, "Katherine, yes, you were already slurring your words in the car last night. When we got to the underground parking lot, you didn't even recognize the way. What's wrong? Is there a problem?"
So, she was really that drunk? Katherine felt something was off but couldn't figure it out.
Forget it, the important thing now was to restore her image in Giorgio's eyes!
Meanwhile, on the other side.
"What did you do on Katherine's phone last night?" Anna lay on the bed, curiously asking.
Sara looked at her with a mischievous smile. "Nothing much, just made her lose a bit of face in front of Mr. Vittorio."
Anna didn't think that would work as Giorgio was so fond of Katherine now.
Thinking about everything that happened last night, Anna's heart was gripped by an invisible hand, feeling suppressed and pained.
She said, "Sara, let's try to avoid Giorgio in our next actions. Make sure he's not around before we act."
Curious, Sara asked, "Why? I think this way we can investigate and you can also get close to Mr. Vittorio. It's great."
Anna explained, "Nothing, Giorgio is quite perceptive and easily notices things. Also, we've been around twice in the past few days, which might raise suspicion."
Anna casually found an excuse, not wanting to elaborate. She had walked out of Giorgio's world and shouldn't go back in. Otherwise, she would be the only one who got hurt.
In the following days, Giorgio didn't see Anna. Several times, he pretended to be asleep when Katherine approached, thinking it was Anna. But Anna just disappeared like that. If it weren't for his lack of interest in Katherine, he would have thought those two times were just dreams or illusions.
"Mr. Vittorio?" Tony's cautious voice sounded.
Giorgio snapped back to reality, seeing Tony standing in front of the desk, his eyebrows furrowed. "What did you report?"
Tony was left speechless for a moment. He hadn't expected he had said so much, while Giorgio hadn't listened at all! In his eyes, the high and mighty, meticulous Giorgio had never been distracted at work! This was the first time ever!
"Mr. Vittorio," Tony uttered.
Giorgio said, "Forget it, go check on Anna."
