Chapter 383 Distance Creates Beauty

The figure coming to them was Katherine. She always dressed meticulously, looking beautiful and confident at all times. Her inherent delicacy was something Anna lacked.

Giuseppe stared at her with deep eyes and asked, "What do you mean?"

Katherine replied, "Anna and I have never traveled together before, so I need totake advantage of this opportunity to strengthen our sisterhood. Besides, whether it's a couple or a married couple, maintaining a certain distance can actually enhance intimacy."

"Anna, let's go." Without giving them a chance to react, Katherine directly took Anna's hand and left.

Anna looked confused throughout the whole ordeal. It wasn't until they entered the room that she still couldn't understand Katherine's intentions. So she asked, "Tell me what you have to say."

"You're clever," Katherine said as she approached Anna with a noble posture, locking eyes with her, "Are you pregnant?"

Anna truthfully replied, "No, I haven't had sex with Mr. Giorgio Vittorio or Mr. Giuseppe Vittorio. Whether you believe it or not, that's the truth."

Katherine knew Anna had no reason to lie to her.

She said, "Good, I hope you keep it this way, be always aware of the gap between you and Giorgio. Now, let me tell you why I asked you to come here. Firstly, I heard about you massaging Grandma, so it's convenient for us to stay together. Secondly, Giorgio's attitude towards me is not good right now, so I have to leave a good impression. Remember to cooperate with me and act accordingly then."

Apart from this, there was another reason she didn't mention. That is, 'Only by keeping Anna by her side at all times could she observe her every move and hinder her getting closer to Giorgio.'

Anna didn't think too much about it. Living with Katherine was better than living with Giuseppe at least.

At that moment, Giorgio entered the room after arranging Viviana.

In the  clear light of the sun, he walked in , holding a black suitcase, restrained and dignified. He seemed surprised to see Anna there, raising an eyebrow.

Katherine immediately smiled gracefully and said, "I know you don't want to live with me, and we do need some time apart. So, I asked Anna to come stay with me, and you can stay with Giuseppe. Don't worry. I won't disturb you, and I will take care of Grandma as well."

Men may like young, vibrant, and beautiful women. But those they truly want to marry are women who are tactful, graceful, and sensible of the situation. This was the image Katherine was trying to behave now. She wanted to make it clear to Giorgio that she was the perfect match for him!

Giorgio's cold gaze swept over her as he handed a box to Anna, saying, "It is antipyretic medicine. Apply it to the wound on your neck."

Then, he left arrogantly.

Anna stood there in a daze. The coolness of the medicine in her hands, now burned like a cigarette butt.

She found it hard to explain to Katherine, "I didn't expect him to give me medicine. I didn't even notice the wound on my neck."

Her explanation only angered Katherine further!

'She didn't expect it? Didn't she notice?

'Didn't that mean Giorgio cared for her more than she cared for herself!'

With her long nails digging into her palm, Katherine stared sharply at Anna and said, "It's just a bottle of medicine. Giorgio would personally feed me medicine and he would also care for Edith, even his secretary, Alison. Anna, you will know that Giorgio's fondness for you is just seized by a whim."

Leaving those words behind, she proudly walked away. Anna stood there. Because of Katherine's words, the restlessness in her heart gradually subsided. Indeed, she had seen how Giorgio treated Edith and how he got along with Alison. She didn't need Katherine to remind her, because she was well aware. So, she never had any illusions about him.

Taking a deep breath, she set the medicine aside and started packing her things.

Dinner was a local specialty. At the table, Katherine actively served Viviana, behaving friendly and obedient.

Viviana was amused by her and smiled kindly, saying, "Katherine, when we return to the city, I will give that piece of green land to you to plan out."

Viviana was referring to a piece of land left by her parents in the center of Crownhaven, the only undeveloped land yet to be regarded as a park. Its location was prime, so it held great value.

Instantly, the expressions of those present turned sour.

They wanted to say something, but due to past incidents where someone targeted Katherine, which angered Viviana, so no one dared to speak directly. The atmosphere became particularly awkward.

Giorgio, sitting on the side, hadn't expected Viviana to gift the land to Katherine.

In a sense, Katherine was a suitable wife, quiet, calm, capable, and able to please the elders.

He knew that as long as Viviana was alive, he was unlikely to divorce Katherine. But once certain thoughts were voiced, they seemed to grow stronger. Divorce was a decision he had pondered over countless times.

"Grandmother, it's not necessary," Giorgio suddenly spoke up.

Katherine's expression stiffened.

Viviana was also surprised and looked at him, saying, " I give  it to my granddaughter-in-law, so your words don't count."

Giorgio said, "Granny, the purpose of this trip is for family bonding, so there's no need for complications. When we returned, we can make the Vittorio family plan out the land. Whichever plan you find satisfactory, then decide who gets it."

He was confident of his tactful plan. In fact, even in a competition, he had a great chance of winning. But with this proposal, others also had a chance, so they were grateful to him. Even if they failed in the future, they would accept it gracefully.

Viviana smiled, "That's fine. When you return, you can plan it out, and both my grandson and granddaughter-in-law can participate."

Everyone was pleased with this proposal, instantly becoming happy, "Granny, please eat more."

"Grandma, we will do our best."

Anna sat on the side, observing the seemingly simple yet tumultuous events unfold. She witnessed the resentment and dissatisfaction among the group and Giorgio's deep thoughts and maturity. He was a qualified and convincing business leader. At the same time, an idea formed in her mind.

Giuseppe had a different perspective on this matter. 'Giorgio's refusal was more likely that he did not want Katherine to benefit from it.'

Back in the room, Giuseppe asked, "Uncle Giorgio, do you have a bad relationship with Katherine?" .

Before, he wished for their relationship to break apart. Now, Katherine was the key to helping him achieve his will.

Giorgio glanced at him indifferently and said, "Seems like your relationship with Anna isn't that great either. A real man doesn't lay hands on women."

His cold voice carried a chill. Giuseppe was taken aback.

He hadn't expected Giorgio to bring up this matter, feeling slightly displeased, "I was a bit out of control emotionally at that time. Did Anna complain to you?"

Giorgio stared at him aloofly, his voice cold but with hidden meaning, "Do you think your girlfriend would complain to other men? It seems in your eyes, I, an outsider, are more worthy of her trust."

His elegant and magnetic voice was gentle but also meaningful.

Giuseppe realized that no matter what he said, Giorgio always had the upper hand.

Even though he was Anna's boyfriend, he felt like he was in a losing position.

"I was talking about you and Katherine. I know how to treat my woman," he said.
