Chapter 253 Penny's Disappeared!
"Hey! Mr. Vittorio~~ Are you here for Anna?
Anna was just saying how happy she was to see you; she wanted to greet you, but she didn't know how to initiate it. Now, Anna, you can chat with Mr. Vittorio!"
Sara reacted swiftly and pushed Anna forward enthusiastically as she spoke.
Anna was both embarrassed and speechless!
She was embarrassed because she didn't want to see Giorgio at all, let alone greet him.
She was speechless because of her meddlesome friend!
Now that she was standing in front of Giorgio, what should she say? She didn't want to say anything! Anything she said would just cause her trouble!
Just as Anna was feeling awkward and embarrassed, Giorgio's cold voice sounded, devoid of any emotion, "Excuse me."
Just two words; a crisp, decisive, and frosty command.
Anna's eyebrows furrowed.
Excuse me? She looked to the side and was shocked to find his limited edition Maybach parked in the parking space next to her!
So, he wasn't here for her!
They were just blocking his way!
For a moment, Anna and Sara were awkwardly frozen in place, wishing they could find a hole to crawl into!
It wasn't until the car drove away that the two of them awkwardly spoke again, "Did I make it too obvious just now?"

Sara stuck out her tongue, "Okay~~"
Next time she would find another way to play matchmaker.

I'll give you double the salary if you leave Crownhaven!"

Anna gave her a faint smile; her incredibly clear eyes met Katherine's sharp, arrogant pupils as she asked, "Katherine, are you that afraid of me? Hmm?"

She was afraid of her?
"What kind of joke are you making?"
"If you're not afraid of me, would you be afraid of me staying in Crownhaven? If you're not afraid of me, would you repeatedly ask me to leave? To disappear?
Or are you saying that you have no confidence in yourself, thinking that an ordinary person like me could take Giorgio away from you?"
Each question was pressing and aggressive.
Katherine grew angrier every with every word.
Indeed, she was afraid! Because Giorgio was different only with her! Because she was the mother of his child!
Unfortunately, as proud as she was, she would never admit defeat.
Her red lips curved in a smirk, "You're overthinking. Someone like you wouldn't catch Giorgio's eye. Even if he's interested in you now, it's just a game to him.
Since you want to stay, then stay. You won't shake my position even if you stay for a lifetime. In the end, you'll just be a delivery worker! Sooner or later, you won't be able to survive in Crownhaven!"

Anna didn't have that kind of thought, "If she knew about my job, she might cause trouble. Besides, she was right about one thing."

As soon as her words fell, a taxi drove by. She reached out to hail it, only to realize in shock - Penny was gone from her side!
"Where's Penny?!" Her panicked voice rang out.
Sara looked around and didn't see Penny either, her face turning pale with fright, "She was just here; wasn't she? Where did she go? Let's look for her!"
"Right!"
The two of them rushed around looking everywhere, but after checking behind trees, cars, and inside and outside the restaurant for a full ten minutes, they still couldn't find her.
Anna panicked, "What should we do? Could a human trafficker have taken Penny? I'm going to call the police..."
She took out her phone with trembling fingers, ready to dial.
But Sara anxiously said, "24 hours have to pass until they can declare her missing, and it would cause a citywide uproar. It wouldn't be good for Penny either. Let's think of something else!"

They didn't have any relatives or connections in Crownhaven; what could they do?
Anna was frantic.

Sara said, "Why not call Mr. Vittorio or Mr. Dalio and ask them for help? They have wider networks than the police."

Mirlinda was probably still furious, which was why Simon went to coax her. If she told Simon that Penny was lost and asked him to help, what would Mirlinda think? She would definitely think she did it on purpose!

As for Giorgio... his cold and heartless demeanor from earlier were still fresh in her mind; she didn't want to ask for his help either.
