Chapter 481 Mr. Vittorio Has Changed
"Sara, go find Mr. Dalio or Giuseppe!" Anna yelled. Next thing she knew, she was yanked into the car.
The door slammed shut, and the car sped off. Sara just stood there, totally freaked out. She knew Giorgio was the go-to guy in a jam, but Anna was way too stubborn.
Not wanting to stir the pot, she did what she was told and called Simon.
"Sorry, the number you dialed is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later."
What Sara didn't know was that woman had found out about Simon's visit and his offer of the shares. She had smashed his phone in a fit of rage. So, Sara couldn't reach him by phone or WhatsApp!
And she didn't have Giuseppe's number either!
Sara, all jittery, hopped in a cab to The Vittorio Group.
She said to the person by the front desk as soon as she entered the building, "I need to see Giuseppe Vittorio. Please call him for me."
"Sorry, miss, no appointment, no entry," the receptionist said, all business-like.
Sara pleaded, "It's super important, about his kid! Please tell him, he'll definitely come out."
"Every woman who comes here says they're pregnant with his kid," the receptionist sneered. They treated Sara like just another one of those women and had security drag her out.
Sara ended up outside The Vittorio Group, looking like a mess. Her mind was spinning.
No Simon, no Giuseppe. She was totally lost.
"Mr. Vittorio." A security guard's respectful voice came from nearby. Sara looked up and saw Giorgio strutting into the building. Her face lit up, and she dashed over. "Mr. Vittorio! Mr. Vittorio, please help!"
"Hey, who are you? Back off!" The security guard, worried about bothering Giorgio, moved to shoo Sara away.
"No need to stop her," Giorgio said coolly. His intense gaze swept over Sara, and he said, "Is this about her going to jail?"
"Yes!" Sara didn't expect him to know and nodded eagerly. "Anna's terrified of the dark and small spaces, and it wasn't even her fault. Mr. Vittorio, please help her!"
She thought Giorgio was kind and caring. But that was just the act he put on for Anna. The real Giorgio was cold, ruthless, and indifferent. Even if someone died in front of him, he wouldn't flinch.
He stared at Sara coldly and said, "If she likes taking the fall and being a doormat, let her deal with it. She has nothing to do with me. Don't bring her up again."
With that, he walked into the building.
Sara stood there, stunned. She couldn't believe those words came from Giorgio. Was this heartless guy really the Giorgio she knew?
Sara was lost, helpless, and troubled.
In his office, Giorgio ripped off his tie and downed a glass of cold water.
Damn it, she ditched him first. He told himself not to care about her anymore. Whether she lived or died was none of his business!
Trying to push down his feelings, Giorgio sat at his desk to work. But Anna's disheveled face kept popping up on the documents in front of him.
"Damn it!" he muttered, tossing the papers into the trash and heading to the lounge to crack open a bottle of red wine. How long was he gonna put up with this ungrateful woman? He told himself not to give in.
Right now, in the hospital's recovery ward, Katherine was lounging on the bed, scrolling through trending topics. All the news that used to be about her had flipped to Anna.

Every post on Instagram had millions of comments and shares. Anna was getting roasted by everyone.
Seeing all those nasty comments, Katherine smirked.
The cops wouldn't have locked Anna up so fast, but Katherine was worried Anna might back out, so she bribed someone and tipped off the address. Now, Anna couldn't stay in Crownhaven.
Anna was already stuck in the detention center. She didn't expect that from day to night, no one would come to save her. Worse, the cell that used to have just three people now had a fourth.
As soon as the newcomer saw Anna, she started yelling, "Anna! You nasty piece of work, you're really here!"
Anna was both confused and shocked by this stranger. "Who are you?" She didn't recognize her at all.
The woman sneered and walked closer. "Who I am doesn't matter. I got myself arrested just to find you!"
The woman raised her voice. "Listen up, everyone, this Anna abused a cat, beat it to death. It's disgusting!"
"What? Cat abuse?" someone asked.
"Yeah, these are photos of her doing it!" A stack of photos was thrown out. All were super brutal images.
"Oh my God! How heartless."
"How could she hurt such a sweet little cat?"
"Let's get her! We need justice!"
The group attacked Anna. In no time, Anna was getting beat up again. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't fight off three people.
In the middle of the pain and helplessness, she was even more curious about this woman who had suddenly shown up and ended up in the same cell as her. And she could even bring photos in.
Back at the villa.
"Mr. Vittorio! My mommy loves cats the most. She couldn't have abused a cat!" Penny said firmly, looking anxiously at Giorgio. "Please tell the police and clear my mommy's name!"
Charlie stood on the other side, staring straight at Giorgio.
"Daddy, I've checked it out. That dress belongs to Katherine, and Auntie Anna never stayed in that villa. There's definitely something fishy about this case, and she is definitely not the culprit. Daddy, let's go save her right now!"
Giorgio knew that, of course. Anna, who was even scared of cockroaches, couldn't possibly abuse a cat. But he had to respect her choice.
He stayed cool, sitting on the sofa.
"Daddy! What's wrong with you!" Charlie, not knowing about their breakup, protested, "The truth is right in front of you. Why won't you save her? Even if there was no truth, as her boyfriend, you should protect her. You're being super irresponsible! The people inside will beat her."
That last sentence made Giorgio's eyebrow twitch slightly.
Damn it. So what if she got beat? She brought it on herself!
"It's late, you two go to your rooms and rest. I'll handle it," Giorgio said, not wanting the kids to make a scene.
Penny saw where this was going and didn't believe him at all. "Mr. Vittorio, you're lying. You're not going to save Mommy, are you? If you won't save her, I'll call Uncle Simon. Only he truly cares about my mommy."
Simon again! Giorgio watched as Penny picked up her phone, about to call Simon, and his mouth twitched hard!
He reached out and grabbed her phone. "Don't call him!"
