Chapter 85 Have a Kiss
"Sofia, am I seeing things, or was that pretty girl Katherine just now?" Viviana Vittorio asked as she walked with Sofia.
Sofia blinked, "Madam Vittorio, it seems like it... but also not quite."
Yes, that face clearly resembled Katherine, but her actions and clothing didn't seem like Katherine at all. Viviana rubbed her eyes.
Strange, what exactly is going on?
Downstairs, Anna put on a mask and quickly ran outside. She needed to buy new clothes and change before Penny came out, otherwise Penny would worry if she saw her being bullied.
With a sudden bang, she accidentally collided with a solid figure, causing a sharp pain in her forehead. Giorgio, who was knocked down, also felt a slight ache in his chest. Frowning, he looked at the girl in front of him.
She had a slim figure with messy hair, and her plain white pajamas were in disarray. Since she was looking down and wearing a mask, it was hard to see her face clearly.
He looked familiar to her, even though she couldn't quite place him.
Out of nowhere, he asked, "Did you bump into something?"
How magnetic and pleasant his voice sounded!
It was Giorgio's voice!
OMG, can't I just stop running into him? Whenever I do, something bad happens!
Anna lowered her head again, shook it, and bowed as a way of apologizing before quickly stepping away.
Faster than a rabbit.
"Mr. Vittorio, why can't this woman speak? Can't she talk?" sympathized Little Tony.
Giorgio narrowed his long eyes, a hint of gloomy darkness passing through. He felt that something was off.
But being someone who never dwelled on women, he quickly averted his gaze and went upstairs saying,
"Madam Vittorio, I just went out and bought you some fresh flowers. Please have a look if you like them."
Viviana smiled warmly, "Of course, I like whatever you buy. What about Katherine? Did she not come with you?"
Upon hearing Katherine's name, Giorgio's emotions always seemed muted, "She had a beauty appointment today, so she couldn't come."
"Hmm? But I just saw her outside the treatment room. Wait, maybe it wasn't her. Could Sofia and I be mistaken?"
The more Viviana spoke, the more confused she became.
Giorgio furrowed his eyebrows, skeptical, "You saw Katherine? But she didn't look like Katherine?"
"Yes, she looked just like her, but she was wearing pajamas and tore up a script. It was quite satisfying to watch."
The color of Giorgio's eyes deepened.
Grandmother mentioned that the girl he had just met downstairs might be the same person.
Someone who looked exactly like Katherine...
‘Ding dong!' Just as he was thinking, his phone received a text message.
"Dear user, your card ending in xxx has been used for a $996 purchase on South Cheng Road in Crownhaven. For detailed information, click..."
It was the black card's transaction history.
The black card was with Anna!
So, the person he saw last night and the girl just now, they were indeed Anna!
"Grandmother, I need to go out for a while," Giorgio stood up with his tall and graceful figure and swiftly left.
Why did she come to Crownhaven and keep showing up in front of him? What was she trying to do?
Anna quickly bought a set of clothes nearby and changed before hurriedly returning to the treatment room.
It had been an hour since Penny went in, so she didn't know if he had come out yet.
But as soon as she reached the door of the treatment room, she saw a noble and slender figure standing there!
He had his hand in his pocket, with a cold and mysterious expression on his face, as if he had purposely been waiting for her!
Anna blinked her eyelashes rapidly. It must be a coincidence, right? There's no way he could know she was here.
Trying to comfort herself, she quickly imitated Katherine's demeanor and put on a gentle
smile, saying,
"Giorgio, what brings you here?"
Pff.
Little Tony, standing behind Giorgio, almost spat out blood.
Did Miss Stefanelli think Mr. Vittorio was a fool? Pretending to be
"Come on, at least put on a delicate makeup, wear high heels, and greet me with enthusiasm."
Giorgio narrowed his long eyes, taking a step closer. "Giorgio?" he called.
When she said his name, it sounded so pleasant and melodic.
Anna was afraid inside, feeling as though his deep, unreadable gaze could see everything, could see right through her. But she was determined to keep up the act, even if she had to do it on her knees.
"Yeah, I came to the hospital to visit a friend and I have things to do. I'll be going now. Giorgio, see you tonight."
She smiled, wanting to walk away.
"Stop." Giorgio grabbed her collar and pulled her back to where she stood.
"So, you're Katherine? I thought you were that rude, careless idiot Anna."
Little Tony was truly choking on his own saliva this time.
What kind of game was Mr. Vittorio playing? Was he really deceived?
Anna couldn't help but wonder when she had become rude, careless, and an idiot.
And who was the real idiot? It was him!
Suppressing her anger, she said, "I really have things to do, so let go of me."
"You can go, but give me a kiss."
Cough, cough, cough!
This man was unbelievable!
She couldn't go on with this!
"Scram!" Anna couldn't resist but to retort with a curse.
She finally understood the saying "the more one endures, the more frustrated they become." The more she thought about it, the more she felt she had lost.
She had wasted her smiling face on him!
Giorgio's eyes filled with a smile, a dangerous and wicked smile.
He smirked, his eyes filled with amusement. "You won't act anymore? If you can't control your emotions, don't play games in front of me."
Anna choked, suddenly realizing that he had seen through her disguise, that it was intentional. She felt both angry and embarrassed.
"So what? I just didn't want you to know that I came to Crownhaven. Who knew my acting skills couldn't match your thick skin? Move aside!"
Giorgio heard the phrase "didn't want you to know" and his handsome face grew serious.
"What are you doing in Crownhaven?"
She came to Crownhaven to treat Penny.
Thinking of Penny's leukemia, Anna's eyes reddened, but she didn't want to reveal her emotions in front of this man.
"It's none of your business. Mr. Vittorio, you have plenty of time, so why don't you go back and spend more time with your wife instead of being so indifferent to your own woman all the time?"
Giorgio remained silent.
He had never encountered a woman who was so cold towards him. His eyebrows furrowed.
"What did I do to offend you? Or is it that I've been too gentle with you, making you speak to me in this manner?"
His voice carried a coldness and chill.
Anna pursed her lips. "Did you say it? You slept with me. Am I supposed to be nice to you? Mr. Vittorio, please pretend you didn't see anything and we won't be embarrassed, nor will we bring up that matter again."
She was sharp and intimidating, like a thorny rose.
It was so effortlessly arousing the masculinity and conqueror's desire in a man.
Giorgio took a step forward, pushing her small figure against the wall behind her. His tall frame overshadowed her.
"So, what you're saying is that you can't forget that night and it still lingers in your mind, huh?"
