Chapter 102 Seduce Me?
Anna had no recollection of what happened after that.
She just wanted to escape the scene as soon as possible.
At the very second the wedding ended; she followed the stylist back to the dressing room.
"Miss Stefanelli, no, you should now be called Mrs. Vittorio. Mrs. Vittorio, we'll change you into your evening gown next."
The two stylists brought out the evening gown and prepared to do Anna's makeup.
Anna shook her head in fear.
Before she could speak, Giorgio's noble and slender figure entered the room.
"You may leave."
"Yes, Mr. Vittorio." The two stylists then left.
Anna was anxious and irritated. She closed the door behind them.
"Mr. Vittorio, I'll change into a simple outfit now, wear a mask, and leave immediately. Please have someone find a way for me to-"
"Anna!"
"Don't worry, I absolutely won't tell anyone about today's events. I will explain to Katherine that I was forced to go."
As she spoke, she anxiously tried to remove the wedding dress.
'But how do I take off this heavy and complicated thing?'
"Mr. Vittorio, could you please help me?" she asked, feeling desperate.
Giorgio looked at her frantic appearance, like a panicked deer that just wanted to escape.
He took a step forward, walked behind her, and his slender hand reached the zipper on her back and gently pulled.
The zipper came halfway down, revealing the woman's beautiful back.
She had a pair of beautiful shoulder blades, skin as smooth as clouds, delicate like pearls in rosy hues, shining under the light.
His adam's apple rolled and his eyes darkened slightly.
There was a large floor mirror ahead, and Anna suddenly felt that his staring at her back was too intimate!
"Um, I'm in a hurry, so I'll let you help, but I don't mean anything else. Please don't help anymore!"
Giorgio narrowed his eyes, slightly lifting the corner of his mouth, and asked meaningfully, "Should I zip it up now or unzip it further? Hm?"
It was a question, but it sounded more like flirting!
Anna blushed.
If she attempted to zip it up herself, how could she reach it?
If she unzipped it further, he would see more!
"Just like this! I should be able to reach it now. Go find Katherine quickly."
She meant to remind him, and herself, that he was married and they needed to maintain a distance.
Giorgio immediately understood her meaning.
He sneered and said distantly, "You don't need to repeat 'brother-in-law' over and over again, it gives others the impression that you respect me. But I think, the way you address me, it's more like..."
His words trailed off.
He slowly pulled down the remaining half of her zipper with his fingers, then bent down and his lips approached her ear, his deep voice pressing heavily, "Flirting with me."
His low and husky voice seemed particularly ambiguous in the confined room.
Anna was stunned. She quickly took a few steps forward, creating distance between them.
This man had just married Katherine at the wedding, but privately he was flirting with her like this.
She guessed that whether it was her or Katherine, they were just playthings in his hands.
Bastard!
"I didn't mean that, and it has nothing to do with you! That night was just an accident, we have no relationship! The person I love is Simon."
Her words were firm and resolute.
Like a warning line, creating distance.
Giorgio's gaze deepened momentarily.
The atmosphere turned icy cold.
Knock, knock! At that i moment, there was a knock on the door from outside.
"Katherine, are you ready? The banquet is about to start."
"Come out, Dad wants to remind you about toasting etiquette."
It was Mr. and Mrs. Stefanelli!
Who knows if there were others as well!
Anna's heart tightened. She shifted her gaze away from him and held onto her dress to prevent it from falling. "Haven't you found Katherine yet? I'll just hide in the closet; you can handle it yourself."
"Stop." Giorgio pulled her back, his voice cold.
Holding her slender wrist, he asked, "Do you think it's possible that you came in but don’t leave? Or maybe you want them to find you and see you as someone with ulterior motives?"
He remained calm, displaying power and composure even in the face of danger.
Frowning, Anna raised an eyebrow and said, "But if I go out with you, won't I be misunderstood too?"
At this moment, she felt speechless, helpless, and deeply saddened.
Though Giorgio was originally angry, seeing her pitiful state made his anger disappear completely. He calmly said, "Little Tony has already sent someone to investigate. Let's wait until we know what's going on. In the meantime, change your clothes and come with me."
Anna remained silent.
What else could she do? She could only comply.
After changing her clothes, the door opened.
Outside stood Mr. and Mrs. Stefanelli, as well as Enrico and Tom.
Seeing Katherine blushing shyly, and Giorgio standing there, Mr. and Mrs. Stefanelli assumed they were kissing inside and happily asked, "Giorgio is here too? The previous ceremony was fantastic."
"We didn't expect you two to have such a good relationship. We are delighted," they added.
Anna could discern something from their words and expressions. Her face grew even redder.
She and Giorgio hadn't done anything inside!
"Katherine, why haven't you changed your hair yet? Stylist, come here and handle it."
"Katherine, the banquet later will be attended by important people. Remember, you have to..."
Carla gently helped her fix her hairstyle, while Davide affectionately reminded her of the preparations.
Both of them were nearly 50 years old, yet still retained their elegance and benevolence.
Having parents like them made one proud.
As Anna looked at them, she realized that apart from meeting them once four years ago, she had only seen them through television or newspapers throughout her life.
So this is how gentle and kind they are to Katherine.
This is what being loved by parents feels like.
And her? She was probably long forgotten by them.
It seemed that Katherine was the only daughter of the Stefanelli family.
"Mr. Vittorio, Mr. and Mrs. Stefanelli, something happened!" Suddenly, in Anna's thoughts, a panicked voice rang out!
Everyone looked over to see a male hotel waiter rushing toward them.
He ran fast, sweat pouring from his forehead, panting heavily, and upon closer inspection, his legs were trembling slightly.
Davide's expression turned serious. "What happened?"
The waiter lowered his head, patted his chest to regain his composure, and quickly said, "I'm sorry, but Miss. Stefanelli, she... she... she drowned!"
What? Drowned?
"What nonsense are you spouting? Our Katherine is right here, perfectly fine!"
"Take this crazy waiter out," Davide Stefanelli angrily ordered.
But Anna was in a state of panic.
Kath...
Katherine drowned?
"What's going on? Where?"
The server looked over and as soon as he saw Anna's exquisite and beautiful face, his face turned pale.
"Miss Stefanelli? How is this possible? I clearly saw a woman who looked exactly like you, Miss Stefanelli, falling into the Flower Lake, and now... she's almost dead!"
