Chapter 425 Mr. Vittorio wouldn't mistake someone, would he?
Suddenly, he noticed two women trailing Mr. Johnson—Lucia and Anna.
His eyes widened, totally caught off guard by their presence.
Katherine, sitting nearby, clenched her fists even tighter.
She had hoped this trip to Corystania would help her bond with Giorgio, and that Anna would stay out of their lives.
But just a few days in, Anna had already shown up in Corystania.
What a shameless move!
Anna was speechless, seeing him twice in one day made her feel wronged and innocent.
Plus, Giorgio's cold, distant look felt like a knife to her heart.
"Surprised?" Mr. Johnson asked, stepping forward. "When Ms. Hill sent the video, I really liked it. Today, seeing Mrs. Vittorio, I was shocked to realize she looked exactly like the person in the video. I thought people from Crownhaven were similar, but they look exactly the same. By the way, you also have the last name Stefanelli, right?"
Anna snapped out of it and nodded stiffly. "Yes, I am Mrs. Vittorio's twin sister."
"Oh my god! What a coincidence! This is the first time I've seen twins. You two are really impressive—one making waves in film, the other forging a new path with great potential."
He then kindly said to Anna, "Ms. Stefanelli, no need to introduce Mr. Vittorio and Mrs. Vittorio to you. Mr. Vittorio, with them looking so alike, you wouldn't mistake one for the other, would you?"
It was meant as a joke, but it instantly made the air tense.
Four years ago, Giorgio had indeed mistaken one for the other.
Katherine and Anna felt a guilty tension.
Giorgio remembered that he did mistake them at first. His gaze deepened slightly, and he said coldly, "The first time, I did mistake them, but not after that. After all, people are different."
His words carried a tone of sarcasm and coldness.
Anna felt hurt inside. He was mocking the vast difference between her and Katherine.
Worried that Katherine and everyone else would misunderstand the 'first mistake,' she explained, "At that time, I was delivering food, and Mr. Vittorio thought I was my sister. Indeed, a small incident happened, but Mr. Vittorio has good eyesight and didn't mistake us after that. So, weren't we discussing the video collaboration? Lucia, didn't you bring the proposal for Mr. Johnson to see?"
She was changing the subject.
"Right," Lucia said, handing the document to Mr. Johnson. "Mr. Johnson, take a look. All the content is according to what we discussed in our initial meeting."
"Okay, let me see."
With that, the topic was bypassed and ended.
Anna breathed a sigh of relief.
Giorgio, noticing her complete disinterest in discussing anything related to him, smirked coldly and sat back down.
Katherine, on the other hand, couldn't stay calm, feeling both indignant and angry.
Anna was working on a project? And it had reached Mr. Johnson?
Who was Mr. Johnson? The top media mogul in Corystania, with all major data and traffic influencers under his company.
Working with him meant traffic, reputation, and development.
Now Mr. Johnson actually appreciated Anna.
She really was everywhere, causing her discomfort!
"Ms. Hill, Ms. Stefanelli, I am very optimistic about your new idea. It has great potential in our country as well. And since you are friends and relatives of Mr. Vittorio, let's be straightforward and sign the contract. I hope you can quickly produce more content."
Mr. Johnson's friendly voice filled the room.
Lucia beamed. "Thank you for your trust. We won't let you down."
"Thanks, Mr. Johnson," Anna added politely, already planning their exit.
But then, Mr. Johnson suggested, "Alright, we've finished business. Let's play a little game."
He explained the game: "Mrs. Vittorio and Ms. Stefanelli will get identical makeup and outfits. We'll try to tell them apart. Guess wrong, lose your chips; guess right, get an extra one tenth of a percent on the contract."
One tenth of a percent might seem small, but for a big project, it meant tens of thousands.
Lucia jumped in, "I like this game."
Anna thought, 'Can't she see I just want to leave?'
She glanced at Giorgio, hoping he wouldn't agree.
"Alright," Giorgio's voice shattered her hopes.
His next words felt like torture. "My wife, I won't mistake her."
He sounded so confident and loving.
Katherine, who initially didn't want to play, instantly brightened and wrapped her arm around his. "Giorgio, I love you."
She stood up, ready for the game.
Anna stood there, dazed. His words, his attitude, his affection for Katherine—it all felt like cacti pricking her. Painful and suffocating.
But she had no right to be sad. He and Katherine were married. This was their life.
She forced herself to suppress her emotions and walked backstage.
Fifteen minutes later, the lights came on, and the two women appeared together.
They wore Corystania-style outfits, with the same hairstyle and makeup, looking like mirror images.
"This is hard to distinguish," Mr. Johnson said, troubled.
Lucia frowned too. In Crownhaven, she could tell Anna apart because of their different aura. But now, with the complex makeup and outfits, it was tough.
"Mr. Vittorio, what do you think?" Mr. Johnson asked.
Giorgio's deep eyes fell on the two women, his emotions hidden.
"You guess first," he said nonchalantly.
Mr. Johnson felt the pressure. It wasn't about the chips; everyone wanted to win.
He stroked his chin, walked over to the two women, and examined them carefully. Finally, he confidently said, "The one on the left is Mrs. Vittorio! She looked at Mr. Vittorio with so much love just now; it must be her!"
Giorgio coldly replied, "Love? Mr. Johnson, you must be blind. The one on the right is my deeply loving, trusting, and caring Mrs. Vittorio."
"What? How is that possible?" Mr. Johnson looked at the woman he had chosen. "You are Mrs. Vittorio, right?"
Anna felt extremely troubled. Giorgio had guessed correctly. His words were sarcastic and passive-aggressive, implying Katherine loved him and wouldn't test him, while she was annoying.
She clenched her palms tightly, her throat choking up, unable to speak.
Katherine joyfully said, "Giorgio, when I looked in the mirror just now, I almost couldn't tell myself apart. I didn't expect you to recognize me. What a surprise, love you."
