Chapter 540 Lola's Deep Love
                    Why was she here?
Anna clenched her fists, saying, "Miss Garcia, are you sick or just plain annoying? You're a doctor yourself, so go treat yourself!"
Edith grabbed her wrist and glared at her, yelling, "You're the annoying one! If I hadn't had someone investigate where you were, I wouldn't have known you were with Giorgio!"
Edith questioned, "What right do you have to be entangled with Giorgio? You and Katherine are both despicable, haunting Giorgio like ghosts! And what right do you have to announce the truth about Lola's test? If it weren't for you, I'd be the one dating Giorgio! His grandma had already agreed!"
She had prepared everything, planning to win Giorgio's heart in three months and get pregnant! She had even decided where to take their wedding photos!
The whole family was happy and celebrating with her!
Because Viviana had said she would never let Anna marry into the Vittorio family, with a 98% match, Edith believed she was the rightful one!
But it was all ruined by Anna!
Edith went crazy again, grabbing Anna's hair, shouting, "It's all you, you despicable woman! I'm going to beat you to death."
She hit and kicked, pulling Anna's hair, extremely agitated.
Anna, in pain, gritted her teeth and kicked Edith in the leg.
Edith screamed and fell to her knees, glaring at her viciously and yelling, "You dare hit me? Do you believe I'll have Giorgio kill you!"
"Sure, I don't mind helping you make the call." Anna took out her phone, ready to dial.
She knew Edith wouldn't dare tell Giorgio, and was even more afraid of Giorgio finding out, so it was just an empty threat.
Sure enough!
The next second, the phone was knocked to the ground.
Edith stood up. "Anna, you're even more despicable than Katherine."
A slap landed on Edith's face, leaving her both confused and shocked.
Edith shouted, "How dare you hit me!"
"That slap was for hitting me before, tit for tat," Anna said.
She raised her hand and slapped Edith again, saying, "This slap is for your foul mouth."
Edith was beyond irritated.
Anna threatened, "If you don't disappear from my sight within five seconds, I'll tell Giorgio about your behavior today." Anna's gaze was firm, her aura unwavering.
Edith naturally didn't want Giorgio to know.
In front of Giorgio, she always appeared sweet and innocent. If Giorgio found out she came to hit someone, Edith couldn't think further.
"Anna, just you wait, I won't let you off!" With that, shey and turned to leave.
Anna closed the door, picked up her phone from the ground, and looked at herself in the mirror, persuading herself not to get angry.
After all, she did block Edith's path.
But in this state, she couldn't appear in front of Giorgio.
She finished cooking, put the food in a thermal pot, and sent him a text message.
At the company, Giorgio was sitting on the sofa, discussing with Lola how to handle things when his phone dinged.
He took out his phone and saw it was indeed a message from Anna. He casually opened it.
Anna: [I made some food and put it in the thermal pot. Remember to come back to the apartment for dinner tonight. Also, Penny misses me at home, so I need to go back. Can you tell me the elevator code?]
[It seems like everyone else can use it without restrictions, but I can't.]
Giorgio smiled slightly.
The elevator restriction was something he had arranged with the property management. As long as Anna was alone, she couldn't leave.
He replied: [I'm almost done here. Tell Penny I'll come pick her up soon.]
Anna: [No, I have some other things to do when I go back.]
Was she deliberately avoiding him?
Actually, after leaving, Giorgio realized he hadn't handled things well by leaving her in that situation.
[Are you still mad about what happened before?]
[I wanted to, but I couldn't do that. Even if we don't wait until the wedding day, I at least want until you're my formal girlfriend.]
So, that was what he was thinking?
Even in that situation, he considered her feelings and respected her.
Anna felt a strong emotional surge, like being cherished as a treasure.
She quickly replied: [I'm glad you respect me, but it's really not because of that! If I were mad, I wouldn't have cooked for you. I really need to go back. If you're worried, come find me and Penny later when you're done.]
Two hours should be enough for the swelling to go down.
Giorgio felt relieved after receiving her reply.
[Okay, get in the elevator in five minutes. I'll come over when I'm done.]
Anna: [Okay. Bye.]
Giorgio smiled slightly, his gaze lingering on the screen for a long time.
He felt Anna was really adorable, sweet like a jar of honey.
But when she was angry, even he couldn't handle it.
Next to him, Lola had been waiting for Giorgio for five minutes.
During those five minutes, he was texting, his eyes soft and indulgent, a gentle smile on his lips, like a spring breeze, melting ice and snow, giving all his tenderness to the Anna on the other end of the phone.
She never thought that the once unsympathetic Giorgio could one day be so tender towards someone!
This only made Lola more determined.
She didn't want to date him and get involved, only to end up not even being friends.
Being by his side, just watching him and accompanying him, was good enough.
"Mr. Vittorio, I think announcing that I never intended to date you, that I took the test out of competitiveness, and that using someone else's account was a violation, thus withdrawing and giving the ranking back to Anna, is a good solution."
Hearing this, Giorgio put down his phone, saying, "Yes, Anna got that question wrong because she didn't understand me in terms of business. Go ahead and make the announcement."
"Okay." Lola didn't hesitate.
She loved Giorgio deeply.
From the first time they met, when he pulled her out from under the steel pipes at the construction site, she swore her life was his.
She had accompanied him for six years, getting closer step by step, until she could stand by his side and earn his admiration.
She was so close to him now, and if she didn't give up, she could date him.
Lola knew she would never love another man in this lifetime.
She really wanted to say, "Giorgio, I don't want to be your partner, I want to be your wife. Give me a chance."
But in the end, she didn't dare to take that step.
The past six years had been too difficult for her.
To be excellent, she only slept five hours a day, spending the rest of the time learning.
To stand by his side, she was almost humiliated by 100 business partners.
To gain his recognition, she even stayed alone in a remote, desolate place for a year.
Being able to look at him, to hear him say "Your project is good," and call her "Ms. Quinn" made her very happy and satisfied.
After all, seeing him used to be a luxury.
Lola took a deep breath, lowered her head to hide her emotions from Giorgio.
She took out her phone, edited the content, and prepared to send it.
