Chapter 460 Piss Me Off? Bury Me?
Giorgio listed her mistakes one by one, not sparing her emotions. Each one was a big misunderstanding that had hurt him deeply.
Anna didn't realize how much she had misunderstood him.
'He must be so disappointed, exhausted, and heartbroken,' she thought.
She bit her lip and said, "I'm sorry. I don't know why I keep assuming the worst. Maybe it's because you're so amazing, and I feel insignificant. The gap between us is too wide, causing all this. If you're sick of it, we can break up."
Giorgio's eyebrows furrowed deeply.
'Break up!' he thought.
"Those words come out of your mouth so easily," he said.
'No. I just want you to have a relaxed life. I don't want the relationship to be so exhausting,' she thought.
Anna didn't know how to explain this out loud.
Giorgio said, angrily, "You have no trust in me at all. You keep misunderstanding the situation over and over again. I indulge you, pamper you. But that doesn't mean I don't have feelings. If you keep being so irresponsible, then we need to think about our future."
His sharp and angry words showed his displeasure.
Anna was speechless and silent. She didn't expect him to be so angry. She mentioned breaking up for his sake, but he calmly and rationally said to think about it.
Thinking about it means taking a break from the relationship, an emotional cold war.
"Fine, let's both think about it!" Anna opened the car door and got out.
Giorgio was so angry that his forehead throbbed.
He punched the steering wheel, bruising his knuckles.
"Oh my God, you argued with Mr. Vittorio again?" Sara exclaimed when she saw Anna at the hospital looking annoyed.
Anna put down the flowers and fruit, and angrily said, "Who wants to argue with him? He took his sexy secretary for a prenatal checkup, and when I misunderstood, he got angry and said I didn't trust him and tired him out. I said let's break up, and he said to think about it. I think he's just tired of me and doesn't want to date me anymore, that's why he's so cold."
Sara said, "Why do I feel like Mr. Vittorio didn't mean it like that? Did you misunderstand again?"
"No way!" Anna said firmly.
"I said let's break up, and he didn't stop me. He even blamed me. I got out of the car on the main road, and he didn't worry about my safety or pull me back. Either he's tired and thinks I'm petty, or he has an abnormal relationship with his secretary, and my fussing about it made him unhappy. Anyway, if we break up, then we break up. It's not like I can't find another boyfriend!"
Sara glanced at her phone screen. She had just had a call from Giorgio, and she felt nervous.
"Anna, can you calm down?" Sara asked.
But the more Anna thought about it, the angrier she got.
'Even if Olivia's baby is really Giuseppe's, it's suspicious that Giorgio, as someone who had a past relationship with her, would accompany her for a prenatal check-up and sit in the same car. They could've been making out in the car? It's really annoying, okay?' she thought.
She said, "Didn't he forbid me from seeing Giuseppe? I'll go, have dinner, date, and watch a movie with Giuseppe, and piss him off."
Anna said this while taking out her phone to call Giuseppe.
"Mr. Vittorio? I'm free tonight. I'm at Sara's place now, come pick me up."
Watching Anna and seeing the call notification from Giorgio, Sara had a bad feeling.
When Giorgio called, she hadn't had a chance to speak before seeing Anna storm in.
She originally thought of asking Anna about the situation, letting Giorgio hear Anna's thoughts to clear up the misunderstanding.
But now, it was over now, really over.
Anna hung up and saw Sara's worried face. "What's wrong?"
Sara raised her phone and said, "Mr. Vittorio was on the phone with me. He probably heard everything you said."
'He heard everything,' Anna thought, feeling her face flush.
Then she thought, 'So what if he heard? It was his fault, and I wanted to piss him off.'
She went downstairs to wait for Giuseppe but saw a tall, cold figure leaning against a tree.
'Giorgio! What's he doing here?' she thought.
Giorgio walked towards her, each step emphasizing what he had to say.
"Not worried about your safety, not pulling you back? You got into a taxi as soon as you got off. How was I supposed to pull you back?"
He continued, "Can't find another boyfriend? Think those men are better than me?"
He continued, "Having dinner, dating, and watching a movie with Giuseppe? You really want to piss me off and make me clean up the mess?"
His last question was deep and angry.
Anna nervously stepped back, unable to answer any of his questions. She thought he wanted a cold war, but here he was, following her to the hospital and calling Sara!
But she said what she said, and she would own up to it.
She gulped and raised her chin to look at him. "So what? Didn't you go for a prenatal check-up with the beautiful and sexy Olivia? Why can't I meet Giuseppe?"
'Is she still not admitting her mistake?' he thought.
Giorgio grabbed her and pulled her behind a building, into a secluded area.
He pressed her against the wall and bit her lip hard.
"Say it again?" His voice was dangerousand he wasbreathing heavily.
Anna was stunned but still refused to give in. "I said what I said!"
Her lips were bitten again. She opened her eyes wide and struggled desperately.
Giorgio didn't let her go, kissing her forcefully, his hands on her body. Punishing, warning, letting her know he was her man.
Anna was extremely ashamed! It was broad daylight, in an open area!
"Let go of me! I was wrong, please let me go."
Her soft voice was pitiful and extremely meek.
Giorgio let her go, looking into her eyes. "Do you really know you're wrong? Tell me what you did wrong."
She just wanted him to stop, so she apologized, but she didn't actually feel that she was wrong.
For a moment, she felt wronged and sad, her eyes turning red.
Giorgio's heart softened suddenly. He looked at her and said, "I'm not happy you misunderstood me. I hope you can give me some trust. I also hope you understand, besides you, no other woman can be by my side. I suggested that you think about the relationship because I was angry you casually mentioned breaking up. I can tolerate everything about you, but I won't allow you to leave me. My mother abandoned me when I was a child."
The last sentence hit like a heavy stone.
Anna was shocked and hurt.
She had heard a bit about his past from Giuseppe, but she didn't know it was this painful.
And she had stepped right on his wound.
More importantly, despite the pain and anger, he still followed her to the hospital.
His tolerance, indulgence, maturity, and reliability were so evident, making her heart flutter.
"I'm sorry," Anna sincerely apologized.
Giorgio said, "I don't want your apology."
Anna didn't know what to say.
Actually, she now knew she couldn't fully trust him.
Or maybe it was because she loved him too much, making her insecure and suspicious.
