Chapter 543 Anna, Quite Charming

Hearing that, Lola was taken aback, completely at a loss.

"Mr. Vittorio? What does this mean?"

Giorgio said, his voice devoid of extra emotion, "My grandmother's dying wish was for me to marry you. I can't agree to it, but following the rules to fulfill it is my final respect for her. It's also to tell her that even after following her wishes twice, it still isn't the happiness I need. The third time, I will choose for myself."

So he was just using her to fulfill Viviana's last wish.

"Mr. Vittorio, actually, Mrs. Viviana Vittorio has passed away. You don't need to do this. In the future, when you find true happiness, she will be at peace."

Lola didn't want to try. Once she tried, she feared it wouldn't end easily.

But Giorgio had already decided.

When Anna suggested it to him before, he had no thoughts about it and didn't want her to be a private companion for another three months.

But when Viviana held his hand and used her last breath to beg him, he couldn't ignore it.

In the end, he still had to make Anna feel wronged for three months.

The next day, heavy rain poured down, and the funeral was held as scheduled.

Giorgio didn't let too many people attend, only the Vittorio family descendants, quietly sending Viviana off for the last time.

Black umbrellas and white chrysanthemums played out the sorrowful atmosphere to the extreme.

But there were only a few who were truly sincere.

Just after the burial, Henna spoke up, "The funeral is over. I'm also very sad and reluctant to part with Grandma, but to let her rest in peace, we should properly divide the shares she held to avoid future conflicts."

Soon, Abel, who had returned from abroad, also echoed, "Yes, Grandma hated us fighting over things when she was alive. We shouldn't argue and should resolve this peacefully."

Others chimed in, "Yes, that's right. Whoever argues should be thrown out."

Every word seemed friendly and harmonious. But in reality, they just wanted to gain benefits.

Giorgio's aura turned icy to the extreme.

Viviana had just been buried, and they were already thinking about the shares. Perhaps, the moment Viviana died, they had already been plotting.

He shot them a sharp gaze enough to instill fear!

Instantly, everyone shut their mouths, not daring to utter a word.

Giorgio's cold gaze swept over them, and he said, "Since you are so sincere, stay here for three days and nights. Afterward, I will arrange the shares."

What!

Three days and nights!

In this pouring rain, at the cemetery!

Everyone's faces turned pale.

However, Giorgio didn't give them a chance. "If anyone can't do it, they won't be eligible for the shares."

With that, he turned and left directly.

After leaving the cemetery, Giorgio got into the car, dressed in a black suit and black shirt, exuding extreme darkness.

Tony felt genuine sympathy.

He knew Giorgio had never been favored by the Vittorio family since he was a child. Only Viviana, because of his abilities, had shown him care.

In the Vittorio family, he felt no warmth at all.

Now that Viviana was gone, the rest of the Vittorio family only cared about money.

If Giorgio weren't capable enough, no one would fear him; they would just blatantly fight for the shares.

'Fortunately, there are still people who genuinely cared for Mr. Vittorio,' Tom thought. He spoke up, "Mr. Vittorio, Ms. Stefanelli and Mr. Dalio had an incident last night. They're in the hospital now. I'll take you there."

An incident?

Giorgio had intended to close his eyes and rest, but upon hearing this, his eyes flashed. "What happened? Why are you only telling me now?"

Tony quickly reported, "Someone drugged Mr. Dalio and lured Ms. Stefanelli over, locking them in a room. To avoid any relations, Ms. Stefanelli set a fire to attract rescue. She accidentally got burned and inhaled smoke, falling unconscious. I asked the doctor, and there's no major issue. I wanted you to finish Mrs. Viviana Vittorio's funeral in peace, so I didn't report it."

In simple words, Tony presented what Anna had done.

Giorgio could even imagine how calm and resourceful Anna was in that situation. She hadn't let him down.

"Alright, get there as fast as possible."

"Yes, Mr. Vittorio."

The car quickly arrived at the hospital.

Giorgio went straight upstairs. Upon reaching the ward, he saw Simon sitting by the bed, and Anna lying on the bed, her face pale but peaceful.

It had only been three days since they met, but it felt like a lifetime.

"She hasn't woken up yet?" Giorgio walked in deeply.

Simon turned his eyes, saw Giorgio, and nodded lightly."She woke up once this morning. Don't worry, the doctor said she's fine. Is the funeral over?"

"Yes." Giorgio elegantly sat down, looking at Anna's delicate face, and asked Simon, "Have you investigated the matter?" His voice was a bit cold.

Simon, hearing this question, his gaze darkened. After a full five minutes, he spoke, "It wasn't Katherine, it was Mirlinda."

Giorgio was indeed surprised by this result. He thought it was Katherine or someone else, but never Mirlinda.

Moreover, Mirlinda loved Simon deeply; why would she do such a thing?

While he was puzzled, Simon, in a low and dark tone, revealed the truth. "She thought our divorce was related to Anna, so she set this up, intending to take photos and post them on Instagram."

Giorgio's deep and sharp gaze fixed on Simon, asking, "Then, does Mr. Dalio's divorce have anything to do with Anna?"

The question was meaningful and concerned.

Simon's eyes tightened slightly. Then, he smiled self-deprecatingly, "So what if it does or doesn't? Anna, in that situation, would rather choose a fire than have relations with me. Whether I like her or not is no longer important. Giorgio, cherishAnna. She's a good girl."

After speaking, Simon cast a deep and tender glance at Anna and left the ward.

The air became quiet.

Giorgio's noble figure became contemplative.

Simon's words just now had already shown his love for Anna.

Even if Simon couldn't have her, knowing that such an excellent man always loved his woman still made Giorgio feel slightly uneasy.

"Anna, you have quite the charm, always finding me rivals," Giorgio murmured, gently touching Anna's face, his tone indulgent and helpless.

Anna felt a gentle hand caress her cheek, clearly cold, yet very tender.

She instinctively opened her eyes and saw the exquisitely handsome and noble Giorgio.

"Giorgio Why are you here?" Anna was surprised and then felt guilty, thinking she had delayed him. "I'm fine, you don't need to worry."

She was very willful when jealous, but now she was so sensible, it made Giorgio's heart ache.

Giorgio said softly, "It's all done. Now, I'm here to be with you."
