Chapter 129 Feeling Wronged?
She played the role of Katherine, Giorgio's wife.
How could he treat her this way with his identity?!
She struggled desperately.
Giuseppe firmly held her wrists, pressing her against the wall.
"Why resist? I waited for you all night. After marrying Giorgio, did you completely forget about me?"
With several angry rhetorical questions in a row, the danger and amount of information conveyed were tremendous!
Anna initially thought the text message last night was sent to the wrong person, but who would have thought it was real!
And the one who sent that message was Giuseppe himself!
What on earth was Katherine doing?!
"My Katherine, do you know how much I missed you during the time you were away from Crownhaven? Don't you miss me at all?"
Anna gritted her teeth and warned, "Giuseppe, let go of me! I don't know what you're talking about. Giorgio will be back soon, so please have some self-control."
"Heh." Giuseppe chuckled lightly. "Self-control… Wait, I don't know how to do it. Why don't you teach me?"
As soon as he finished speaking, he lowered his head and kissed her.
"Ah! Help, help!" Anna was terrified and called out loudly.
However, no one heard her plea. His forceful embrace was rough, making her feel as helpless as an egg against a rock.
But she couldn't let herself suffer like Katherine did!
With her eyes tightly shut, she raised her leg and kicked with all her might.
"Ah, shit!"
Giuseppe let out a cry of pain and hunched over.
Taking advantage of the opportunity, Anna grabbed her clothes, opened the door, and quickly escaped.
The residential area was large, and the once fine weather suddenly turned into rain.
She couldn't let anyone see her in such a state, so she hurriedly hid behind a tree.
Giuseppe chased after her, scanning the area, but didn't see anyone. His eyes were filled with ridicule and sarcasm.
Could she escape from him? They were already inseparable.
He turned and got into his car, driving away.
Anna watched the car disappear from behind the tree, the icy rain soaking her body. She couldn't tell if she was scared or cold as she clutched her tattered clothes, trembling.
She had encountered men like Black Jack before, but this was the first time she had encountered a man who pursued her so aggressively with violence.
So, even in the upper echelons of society, there were scoundrels.
The rain grew heavier and heavier.
Anna sat outside for a full half hour, finally calming herself down, before going back inside, locking the door, and going upstairs to take a shower.
Then she hid in bed, took out her phone, and prepared to send a message to Giorgio.
At that moment, she inexplicably wanted him to be at home.
But he was at work, and apart from their pretense, they had no other relationship. He was someone she should avoid bothering.
In the end, she messaged Little Tony.
'Little Tony, when will you all be back?'
Little Tony responded soon after. 'Mrs. Vittorio, Penny is having a great time at the aquarium. There are still several sections left to explore, so it will probably be late in the evening. Is there something wrong?'
Anna originally wanted the children to be by her side, but she didn't want to disturb Penny's excitement at the moment. She replied, 'No, just stay safe.'
Then she turned off her phone and went to sleep.
At five in the afternoon, the sky was gloomy due to the rain.
Giorgio arrived at the front door of his home and entered the password to unlock it, but there was a 'beep' sound and it wouldn't open.
It seemed like it was locked from the inside with additional security.
He raised his arm and pressed the doorbell. The fine rain wetted his exquisite suit sleeves, but it didn't affect his elegant demeanor.
He rang the doorbell for a full three minutes, but there was no response.
The entire villa was silent, as if there was no one inside.
Giorgio furrowed his eyebrows and took out his phone to call Anna.
The phone rang and rang, one round after another.
Anna, who was half-asleep, groggily grabbed her phone. "Hello?"
Her lazy voice sounded weak and tired.
Giorgio instantly turned cold. "Are you asleep?"
He had been standing outside his own home for five minutes, unable to enter, and she was actually sleeping at home?
The chilling air made Anna immediately awake.
It was Giorgio's voice!
"Well, I accidentally fell asleep..."
"Come down and open the door."
With a cold and stern tone, the call was immediately hung up.
What a strange-tempered man.
Anna uncovered the blanket and quickly ran downstairs, disabled the locked mode and opened the door.
Outside the door stood a man in a suit, accompanied by heavy rain that made him appear even colder, more noble, and unapproachable.
Anna awkwardly explained, "Sorry, I... when I'm alone, I have a phobia, so I'm used to locking the door."
In the end, she still didn't tell him about Giuseppe.
Katherine's matter should not be her responsibility.
Giorgio's cold gaze fell on Anna.
Wearing a white home nightgown, she looked petite without revealing anything, but... her bare feet stepped on the ground, her rounded and obedient toes formed an alluring image.
He took a step into the room and stood very close to her, his eyes full of scrutiny.
"Are you catching a cold?"
This unexpectedly strange question surprised Anna.
Before she could react, the back of the man's hand touched her forehead, warm and gentle.
Only then did she realize that her breathing was hot and her nose was congested.
Giorgio withdrew his hand and glanced at her, "Wearing so little on a rainy day and going barefoot, are you deliberately tempting me with the risk of catching a cold?"
Who tempted him? She was the one who got caught in the rain!
Anna wanted to retort, but as soon as she opened her mouth, he suddenly picked her up!
"Ah!" She exclaimed, blushing and looking at him in astonishment. "What are you doing, put me down."
"Don't move, colds are easy to transmit, be careful of me throwing you out."
Giorgio coldly commanded, carrying her upstairs with ease.
His overpowering presence was domineering and irresistible.
Anna was already feeling wronged, and with his shout, her nose felt even more sour.
He actually didn't show any concern and misunderstood her first, and now he threatened to throw her out. He was such a heartless man.
The woman in his arms became quiet.
Giorgio carried her effortlessly and went straight upstairs.
Bending over, he placed her on the bed, ready to call Tom. However, he was surprised to see the woman's face beneath him showing a pitiful expression, her eyes filled with misty tears.
Was she actually crying?
