Chapter 545 Drive-in Movie Date
In just one minute, Anna's mind was filled with various thoughts.
She thought Giorgio might be sick or in danger.
As she was lost in thought, Giorgio's deep gaze met hers, and he said in a low voice, "It's nothing, don't overthink it. I'll pick you up tomorrow night. Get some rest."
With that, he stepped out.
Soon, the sound of a car starting up and driving away could be heard.
Anna stood frozen, both confused and disappointed.
He used to want to stay, but now he leaves voluntarily.
It must be because Viviana passed away just a few days ago.
Anna comforted herself not to overthink, patted her face, and turned to go inside to look after the two kids.
The two children were still awake, whispering under the covers.
Penny said, "Charlie, do you think my mommy and your daddy are kissing now? Should we sneak a peek?"
Charlie replied, "No, we might disturb them."
Penny continued, "But I really want to see mommy and future daddy kiss. It must be very romantic.."
Charlie asked, "Do you want a little brother or sister?"
Penny said, "Yes."
Charlie addressed, "Then be good. Close your eyes, cover your ears, and sleep. Soon, you'll have a little brother or sister."
Anna was once again left speechless for a moment.
But hearing their cute voices, she inexplicably didn't want to shatter their hopeful fantasies. She turned and went to her own room.
During these days, she had made four videos. Including the previous ones, they could actually be published.
But considering the long production cycle of major videos, they decided to shoot ten before releasing them. And the first ten must be particularly meaningful and grand.
Anna flipped through the materials, thinking seriously.
The next day, the two kids got up and found Anna already tidying up the garden, surprised.
"Mommy, why are you up so early?" Penny asked.
"Ms. Stefanelli, you're up. My daddy isn't up yet. Is he impotent?"
Anna was glad Giorgio wasn't here; otherwise, it would be too embarrassed!
Ignoring the question, she said, "Charlie, teach Penny some knowledge when you have time, okay?"
"Okay." Charlie nodded obediently, then asked, "Ms. Stefanelli, how are you and daddy? I really want a little sister."
Anna was at a loss for words for a moment.
Then she said, "Your daddy had something to do last night and went home first. He'll come tonight. Be good, you two play, and I'll make breakfast." Anna picked some fresh vegetables from the garden and went back to the kitchen.
Before she finished, Sara came back.
"Hey, Anna, why are you up? I thought you couldn't get up, so I came back to make breakfast for you."
Why did everyone have to ask about this? It was really a headache!
Anna felt awkward all day.
At 7 PM, Giorgio arrived.
"Daddy!" Charlie ran over and grabbed his right hand, puzzled. "What was so important that you had to leave Ms. Stafenelli and go home?"
Penny walked over and held his other hand. "Yeah, my mommy is the most important. Why didn't you kiss and hug her when you had such a good chance?"
Facing Giorgio's deep gaze, she felt awkward and shy and quickly explained, "They've been curious about this all day. It has nothing to do with me."
Giorgio's deep gaze swept over Anna, then he squatted down and gently said to the kids, "I have something urgent. I'm not busy tonight. We two tonight will watch a movie. You two be good at home with Sara, okay?"
The two kids instantly cheered, "Okay!"
Giorgio's lips curved elegantly, and he gently ruffled the kids' hair, then stood up and looked at Anna, asking, "Do you want to change clothes or go like this?"
Anna's cheeks turned beet red.
He didn't accept or deny what the kids said, and now he was asking if she wants to go. Was he implying he agreed with the kids?
She nervously said, "I'll go change."
Then, she quickly ran into the room, grabbed some clothes, and went to the bathroom, turning on the shower, letting the water flow down to calm herself.
'It's just a movie. He didn't explain because it's inconvenient to talk about those things with the kids. Don't overthink!' Anna told herself.
Anna took a full five minutes to calm down, then realized a more serious problem!
Why did she have to take a shower?
Fifteen minutes later, Anna appeared in front of Giorgio.
A spaghetti strap dress, with a white silk shawl, her golden hair casually draped over her shoulders, revealing her beautiful collarbone and neck, looking pure and youthful.
Giorgio's eyes darkened, and he walked over, elegantly opened the car door for her, helped her in, then walked around the car to get in.
In the car, there were snacks, popcorn, drinks, and a bouquet of pink roses. The air was filled with the scent of flowers.
Anna was surprised. "Why did you prepare so much?"
Giorgio's deep, magnetic voice sounded. "Isn't it normal to buy snacks and things for my girlfriend?"
It was quite normal. But it didn't seem like his style.
Anna carefully observed him, finding his handsome face soft and delicate.
Her heart tightened, and she quietly texted Sara: [Giorgio is acting strange today. He bought pink roses and seemed extra gentle. I feel like something is going to happen.]
[He must be planning to officially confess or propose. You've been with Mr. Vittorio for so long. Before, it was because of Katherine, then Viviana. Now that they're both gone, he should give you a rightful status.]
Was that so? It seemed like the only explanation.
Anna lightly scratched her head and replied: [What should I do?]
Sara: [Dummy! Of course, you should say yes! Also, after all this time, it's clear Mr. Vittorio truly cares for you. You don't have to worry about being conservative. Just go for it and make it official. Good luck!]
She couldn't deny that Giorgio treated her well. If he really confessed, she couldn't refuse.
All the way, Anna arrived at the cinema nervously.
It was a drive-in theater, where people could use their own car.
Giorgio parked the car steadily in the prime spot in the front row, turned off the lights, and the surroundings went dark, filled with other small cars.
On the big screen ahead, ads were playing, and under the ad sounds, there were faint sounds of couples being intimate. Such a place made her feel uneasy and nervous.
Anna instinctively clenched her hands, trying to find a topic to ease the awkwardness, asking, "What movie are we watching?"
Giorgio unbuckled his seatbelt, turned to her, and gently said, "Tony bought the tickets. I haven't known it yet."
With that, he leaned in closer to her.
