Chapter 443 Mr. Vittorio and Katherine Stay at the Hotel
She couldn't afford losing the bet this time; she had to win.
She wanted Anna to suffer, watching her with Giorgio.
Calming herself, she walked into the room.
"Charlie, have some milk. Your dad and I are going up the mountain for an assessment this afternoon and won't be back tonight. Be good and listen to Uncle Tony."
"Dad didn't say he wouldn't be back tonight."
Charlie didn't believe it and didn't want Giorgio and Katherine alone together.
Auntie Anna would be jealous if she knew!
Just then, Giorgio walked in. Charlie jumped off the desk and ran over.
"Dad, are you going up the mountain? I want to go with you."
'The mountain?' Giorgio thought, puzzled.
Katherine quickly explained, "The thing you mentioned last time, let's do it tonight."
The only thing he had mentioned was the divorce test.
Giorgio understood, his gaze deepening.
He had finished his work and arranged a return flight for the day after tomorrow. It was time to handle this tonight.
Giorgio looked at Charlie and said softly, "The site is a construction zone, no kids allowed. Be good. If I finish early, I'll come back to be with you."
Once Giorgio decided, Charlie couldn't change it, especially with Giorgio's serious tone.
Charlie reluctantly said, "Okay, Dad, be safe."
"Okay."
Giorgio glanced at Katherine, told Tony to take care of Charlie, and left.
As soon as they left, Charlie put on a jacket.
"Uncle Tony, take me to secretly follow Dad!"
"Charlie, what are you up to?"
Tony was shocked and uneasy.
Whenever Charlie was restless, trouble followed. Plus, he didn't dare follow Giorgio!
"Let's stay home, okay? I'll take you to Disneyland."
"No," Charlie refused.
"Dad doesn't have an assessment project; he's lying. Maybe it's something dangerous, and he didn't take me. I want to see. I promise I won't do anything. If you don't take me, I'll go myself."
That determined little chin clearly said, 'You can't stop me.'
Tony had a headache. Fine, if Charlie went alone, who knew what chaos he'd cause.
"Alright, I'll take you, but you must follow my lead and not disturb Mr. Vittorio or expose us."
"Okay!"
They quickly disguised themselves and set off.
Charlie thought they'd take a car, but to avoid losing track, he used his phone's tracking system. The car ahead didn't go far before entering an underground garage.
It was a hotel. A hotel?
'Dad really did have an appointment. Could it be about the kidnapping last time?'
Charlie perked up, pulling Tony inside and opening his laptop. He had a knack for hacking and could infiltrate various systems. In less than five minutes, Giorgio's room booking info popped up, even the room number.
What surprised Charlie was the scene inside the room! Giorgio entered, tall and dignified. And Katherine, who followed, hugged him from behind!
They weren't discussing business! It was just the two of them, doing such a thing! And while dating Auntie Anna, behind her back!
"Bad Dad!"
Charlie was furious, his emotions very agitated.
"I won't allow it! I won't allow it!"
Fuming, Charlie grabbed his phone to call Giorgio, emotions running wild.
He liked Anna and wanted her with his dad, not Katherine. How could his dad betray Anna like this?
Tony was also shocked. Giorgio had mentioned handling a divorce, clearly related to Katherine. Now he was lying to Charlie and taking Katherine to another hotel?
But it wasn't Tony's place to question.
"Charlie, calm down. You promised you'd only watch and not cause trouble."
Charlie couldn't get through, his little fists clenched, teeth gritted. Giorgio had even turned off his phone!
What if Anna tried to contact him? What if he got kidnapped again?
The more he thought about it, the angrier he got. He slammed the laptop and phone shut.
"Don't worry, I won't cause trouble. From today on, he's not my dad! I won't care about him!" Such a big temper.
In Crownhaven, Anna had shot six videos in two days and decided to take a break for the weekend.
She planned to take Penny to see Sara.
"Anna, I'll go with you," Giuseppe offered.
He hadn't been difficult lately and was even friendly.
Anna couldn't refuse. "Okay, but after we see Sara, we're watching a children's movie. If you don't find it boring, that's fine."
Giuseppe smiled gently. "I didn't watch movies as a child. It's good to find a bit of childhood now. Let's go, I'll drive today."
"Okay."
Anna took Penny to the car and waved to Annie.
"Annie, be good at home. Penny and I will be back soon."
Annie meowed a few times, the last two directed at Giuseppe, as if reminding, 'He's not your boyfriend, don't get too close.'
Anna chuckled and patted its furry little head.
"Don't worry, it's just a movie, it's fine."
Though she said that, to avoid unnecessary trouble, Anna messaged Giorgio: [It's the weekend, taking Penny to watch a movie. Mr. Vittorio insisted on coming along, I couldn't refuse, so I brought him along. You won't be mad, right?]
But Giorgio, who usually replied instantly, didn't respond for a long time.
'Busy? Or angry?' she wondered.
"Who are you messaging?" Giuseppe's curious voice interrupted her thoughts.
Anna quickly looked up at Giuseppe in the driver's seat. "No one, just telling Sara I'm coming to see her."
Giuseppe didn't believe it. Anna's longing expression wasn't for Sara.
But Anna had been very responsible lately, taking him to the doctor, cooking for him, getting along well.
He didn't want to disrupt this friendly relationship for now.
He didn't ask further, and Anna sighed in relief.
Her gaze returned to her phone, still no reply, feeling bitter.
'He must be busy. Don't overthink it,' she thought.
Anna bought flowers and fruit for the hospital, chatted with Sara for a while, then went to watch the movie. From afternoon till nine at night, she finally got home.
What she didn't expect was that even after she showered, lay in bed, and put Penny to sleep, there was still no reply on her phone.
After such a long time, he should have checked his phone at least once.
Just as she was thinking this, a notification sounded. Thinking it was Giorgio, Anna excitedly picked up her phone, opened it. Then, her expression suddenly turned to disappointment.
