Chapter 437 Staying at a Hotel with Mr. Vittorio
Good at things that needed patience.
When he said it, it sounded like he was good in bed.
Why was she having these thoughts tonight?
During dinner, Anna just kept her head down and ate quietly.
After finishing, she wiped her mouth and looked at him.
"Mr. Vittorio, it's late. You should head back and rest. I'll take a taxi to pick up Penny."
Penny had been with Lucia for the past few days, and they didn't want her to know about the incident.
Giorgio raised an eyebrow. "Did you forget something?"
Forget something? She didn't think so!
Just as Anna was about to reply, Giorgio's deep voice cut in.
"I secretly came back with you from Corystania, and no one knows I'm in Crownhaven. I've informed your parents. I still have to go to Corystania tomorrow morning."
Anna remembered Giorgio was supposed to be on a business trip in Corystania but came back with her because of the sudden incident.
"So you can't go home tonight. You can only stay at a hotel."
Giorgio nodded. "But I didn't bring the necessary documents."
Documents were essential now!
Anna's face turned pale. "What should we do? How about you stay with Enrico and Tom for the night?"
Giorgio responded, "I have to go to Corystania tomorrow morning, and you're kicking me out tonight."
"We'll sleep on the streets together," Anna grumbled.
Giorgio raised an eyebrow. "You book a room at the hotel, and I'll join you later."
'What? Staying at a hotel! So that's his main point!' she thought.
Anna sensed his hint. A man and a woman booking a hotel room together usually meant one thing.
Her face turned red with embarrassment, not knowing how to respond.
If she rejected him, he'd be embarrassed.
If she agreed, things were moving too fast.
Seeing her silent, Giorgio seemed to read her thoughts and asked in a husky voice, "What are you thinking? I just want to stay together tonight so you can take me to the airport tomorrow morning. You don't think I want to do something to you, do you?"
"No! Absolutely not!" Anna denied immediately, standing up.
"I was just thinking about how guilty I'll feel towards Penny tonight. I wasn't thinking about those things at all. Let's go, let's choose a hotel close to the airport."
She hurried out.
Giorgio smiled slightly.
The little girl wasn't so innocent after all.
Twenty minutes later, following Giorgio's instructions, Anna put on a mask, booked a room at the hotel, then went to the underground garage to pick him up and quickly took him to the room.
The moment she closed the door, she felt like she was having a secret rendezvous.
Since he was still married to Katherine, she was indeed the third party, so it was one.
"Do you want to shower first, or should I?" Giorgio's voice rang out.
He stood in front of the wardrobe, elegantly untying his tie and unbuttoning his white shirt. Every simple action he made was alluring.
Anna's heart raced, not wanting to see him for the moment.
"I'll shower first."
She hurried into the bathroom and closed the door.
Standing under the showerhead, she suddenly thought, why did she have to shower? She had answered so eagerly just now, he might misunderstand.
No, booking a room and showering, it all seemed like preparation for something.
Anna walked out. "I just remembered my back injury hasn't healed yet, so it's not suitable for showering. I'll skip it."
Her expression was a bit odd.
Giorgio scrutinized her.
Although her wound hadn't fully scabbed, it could get wet now.
Besides, she hadn't had much time to take care of herself while taking care of Sara in the hospital these past few days.
She really didn't want to shower.
His gaze was too sharp.
Anna felt guilty under his scrutiny.
Then she thought, if she insisted on not showering, it might seem too obvious she was overthinking.
"Okay, I'll shower."
She turned and walked back into the bathroom, closing the door.
Her embarrassed and flushed face didn't escape Giorgio's notice, and he suddenly understood, becoming clear-headed.
With a helpless smile, he grabbed a new bathrobe from the wardrobe, walked over, and knocked on the door.
"You forgot the bathrobe."
'Oh no! I forgot something so important. Luckily, I hadn't undressed yet!' she thought.
She opened the bathroom door and reached out to take it. "Thank you."
Giorgio looked at her and, with gentlemanly elegance, said, "You're welcome."
Then he turned and sat on the sofa, leisurely reading a newspaper without saying much.
Anna looked at his calm demeanor and felt even more embarrassed and awkward.
Maybe he didn't have any thoughts at all, and she was just overthinking.
'Anna, Anna, you were too impure.'
She stood under the shower to clear her mind.
It took her a full twenty-five minutes from showering to blow-drying her hair.
"I'm done."
Anna walked out of the bathroom.
Her long hair was like seaweed, and her delicate figure was wrapped in a white bathrobe. Her skin, freshly washed, was white with a rosy tint, smooth and tender, not revealing, yet very attractive.
Seeing the petite and alluring Anna, Giorgio's dark eyes flickered with something.
He looked away, responded softly, and walked into the bathroom.
He seemed a bit too indifferent.
From the moment they entered the room, Giorgio had hardly spoken.
Maybe because she had shown so many thoughts after agreeing to be with him, he thought she wasn't that special. Then he lost interest in her.
Anna felt a bit uncomfortable.
Was this how their relationship started on the first day?
She walked over, took a quilt, laid it on the floor, grabbed a pillow, and lay down.
A girl should be reserved.
Only by keeping a distance would it hurt less if things didn't work out in the future.
Therefore, when Giorgio came out of the bathroom, what he saw was the little woman laying a bed on the floor and sleeping there.
His originally gentle gaze darkened, even a bit cold.
"What does this mean? Sleeping separately on the first night."
His voice carried anger.
Anna's palms tightened under the quilt, wanting to pretend to be asleep, but the man's sharp gaze made it impossible to deceive him.
She took a deep breath, sat up, and explained, "I just sleep in an ungraceful way, and you have a long journey tomorrow. I'm worried it might affect your sleep. Besides, our relationship hasn't reached that level yet. You still have a marriage with Katherine, so it's better to keep some distance."
Her analysis was so rational, so distant.
Giorgio raised an eyebrow, his whole aura wrapped in a layer of coldness.
"How is this any different from before? Did I misunderstand our relationship, or do you not understand what dating means?"
He questioned back, deep and enigmatic, angry and cold.
Anna was stunned.
They should be considered dating, at least trying.
But it didn't mean they had to sleep together.
"You were the one who was cold first, so I thought we should keep our distance," she complained softly.
Giorgio vaguely heard, frowning.
"What did you say? I was cold? When?"
Anna met his gaze, feeling dissatisfied with his change, and said directly, "From the moment we came in, your attitude was indifferent. Just now, when I came out, you didn't even say a word and went to shower. You're just like other men, changing your attitude once you get what you want."
