Chapter 86 A Strange Feeling

The fading note in his voice carried an inexplicable hint of love and obscurity. In close proximity, his breath sprayed onto her face, tickling and tingling her.

Anna blushed, her breath becoming heated. "That's not true, I've already forgotten... I don't remember anything."

"Then why are you blushing? What's awkward?" he asked.

"I..." Anna could only respond in a cramped silence.

No matter how she put it, it was awkward!

She shouldn't have brought up that night just now!

As Anna felt at a loss and wished she could slap herself, Giorgio suddenly leaned down, his lips brushing against her ear, and his voice became deep and husky. "Anna, actually, I remember that night too."

Anna did not know what she was talking about. But her. She remembered. She remembered very vividly.

How he had walked into that room. How she had tried to explain, but then given in, to his charm, his beautiful face, his hungry hands.

The moments that followed were a blur of emotion and passion. Their lips met in a heated kiss, and all the boundaries that had kept them apart seemed to crumble. In the heat of the moment, she felt alive in a way she hadn't before, completely consumed by the intensity of their connection.

But as the night drew to a close, reality set in. Anna couldn't help but question the consequences of their actions.

Now, as she looked back on that night, she felt a mix of exhilaration and uncertainty. Part of her wanted to relive the passion they shared, to be lost in the moment once more. But another part of her feared the potential fallout, the heartache that could come from pursuing a path that seemed forbidden.

Torn between her desires and the fear of losing everything she ever had, Anna couldn't help but wonder if that night was a fleeting moment of vulnerability or the beginning of something more profound. As she stood before him, she realized that the answers to her questions remained elusive, leaving her to navigate the storm of emotions that had been awakened within her.

In the silence of the night, Anna knew that she would have to confront her feelings and the consequences of that passionate encounter. But for now, she allowed herself to drift into the realm of memories, reliving the intoxicating magic of that night with Giorgio and wondering what the future might hold for them both.

The man's voice was pleasant, and he said he remembered... He actually remembered the entanglement of that night...

So, what exactly is he implying?

Feeling inexplicably tense, Anna blushed furiously, not daring to guess his intentions, and abruptly pushed him away before running off.

Giorgio watched her fleeing figure, resembling a startled little deer, with the corners of his mouth barely lifting.

She seemed to have not forgotten after all, and wasn't as indifferent and unconcerned as she appeared.

Beside him, Little Tony was petrified.

Did he just witness something? Mr. Vittorio making a move on Miss Stefanelli?

Was this still the same Giorgio, the exemplary and aloof Mr. Vittorio?

"Little Tony, find out why she came to Crownhaven," the man commanded.

Little Tony quickly snapped out of his daze. "Yes, Mr. Vittorio."

At noon, Penny finally came out of the treatment room.

Contrary to Anna's expectations, her clothes were clean, and there was no sign of pain on her face.

She absentmindedly said, "Mommy, I actually slept through the morning again. Have I turned into a baby piglet?"

Anna smiled, "No, even if you did turn into a baby piglet, you would still be the cutest and most beautiful baby piglet."

"Really? Oh, future daddy, you're back." Penny flashed a bright smile. In their time together, she had already been won over by Simon's gentleness.

Although he wasn't as good as Giorgio, he wasn't bad either!

Simon walked over and gently said, "Hmm, let's see what I bought you."

When Penny saw it, her eyes suddenly gleamed.

"Wow, it's a chocolate cake, my favorite. But lately, I feel like I've gained some weight and slept so much. If I keep eating, will I become a piglet and no one will like me in the future?"

Simon softly replied, "No, girls with a little plumpness like you are the most lovable."

"Really? Then I'll eat it!" Penny happily opened the cake and started eating.

Looking at her radiant and obedient appearance, she didn't seem like a sick child at all.

Anna smiled and turned her gaze to Simon, about to say something, but unexpectedly noticed that he had dirtied his suit.

"Your coat is dirty?"

Simon frowned, his eyes cast downwards. After seeing the white stains, he said, "I accidentally dirtied it when I met a friend earlier."

"In that case, you should take it off and let me clean it for you," Anna suggested.

"Come, let me wipe you down. The sun is perfect right now, it'll dry in no time," Anna said as she reached out to help Simon take off his suit jacket.

Simon was taken aback. It was the first time she had taken the initiative to do something for him, so close and caring.

Looking at her makeup-free face, so delicate and radiant, he couldn't help but want to kiss her.

Suddenly, he grabbed her hand. "Anna," he said. Every time he called her name, it was gentle, but now there was an added seriousness to it.

Anna was taken aback and looked up into his tender and affectionate eyes. "Hmm? What's wrong?"

He said, "I won't let go, as long as you become my girlfriend."

His certain and domineering voice was filled with sweetness and a promise.

Anna, thinking it was something else, smiled and said, "I know, I believe in you without you needing to say anything. You're different from other men."

The two of them were in a sweet and blissful moment, completely unaware of the figure standing at the door.

Giorgio's face turned cold.

He had asked Little Tony to investigate and found out about Penny's illness. He had specifically sought out a doctor and bought a gift for Penny, only to come and see this scene?

"What perfect timing for me to interrupt your affectionate moment," Giorgio sarcastically remarked.

Anna turned her gaze and saw Giorgio standing at the door. Her face flushed, and she quickly removed Simon's suit jacket, saying, "I'll go wash your clothes. You guys chat."

Washing clothes? How considerate.

Giorgio's eyes darkened.
