Chapter 62 Heartache, Heart Distress

Hospital.

Tom's private office.

Giorgio walked in with his tall figure, as if bringing the chill of winter. As soon as he entered, the temperature in the entire office dropped.

Tom quickly patted the nurse in his arms, signaling for her to leave, and stood up.

"Giorgio, why are you here? And why do you look so awful?"

Giorgio glanced at him faintly and sat down on the examination chair. "I'm not feeling well. Examine me."

"What? What's wrong? Let me check." Tom picked up a thermometer and took Giorgio's temperature, felt his forehead, and conducted a series of examinations. He looked puzzled.

"You seem fine. What's bothering you?"

Giorgio gazed at him with deep, hollow, indifferent, and icy eyes for about five seconds before pointing to his own chest.

"I'm frustrated, sad, and feeling a heaviness in my heart."

"Fuck! Did you inherit Mr. Vittorio's heart disease? This is serious. Come with me to the examination room." Tom was startled and immediately gathered all the cardiologists in the hospital, even including the director.

For three whole hours, Giorgio underwent thorough examinations inside and out.

However, the final results of the examinations left all the experts in the hospital tensed, unsure of the reason.

"The examinations show no problem. What's going on?"

"Mr. Vittorio's heart appears to be healthy, so why is he feeling uncomfortable?"

"Could it be some strange symptoms?"

"Damn it! My Giorgio doesn't have any strange symptoms." Tom pushed them aside and walked to the bedside, asking carefully, "Giorgio, can you tell me more about your heartache and distress? Tell me the exact cause and the detailed conditions so that I can analyze them and prescribe the right treatment."

Giorgio's eyelids drooped slightly; his emotions remained cold. "It's nothing. It's just hearing that woman teaching Katherine how to seduce someone, saying that she doesn't care about me, ignites anger in my heart."

Is that it?

Tom sighed.

He patted his arm and said, "Giorgio, this isn't a heart disease, is it? Clearly, you like her."

Several doctors and nurses on the side couldn't help but laugh. Mr. Vittorio, who was always high and mighty, couldn't even distinguish between sickness and liking.

So innocent!

Giorgio shot a deadly look at everyone. "Like who?" That stupid woman? Impossible!

Tom was almost frozen by that gaze. After driving away, the doctors and nurses, he desperately explained:

"Don't be angry, I'm just telling the truth. Think about it, your heart feels uncomfortable when she teaches Katherine to please you and says she doesn't like you. It's because you care about her, like her, and don't want her to push you towards other women. Giorgio, who is that woman? Your emotional infidelity is not fair." Tom spoke convincingly, as if it were true.

Giorgio's face grew colder, refusing to admit that he liked Anna, with all her thorns and ruined reputation, “get lost."

Leaving those words behind, he grabbed his suit jacket and walked away.

Even the air was cold.

Tom was completely puzzled and extremely curious!

Who exactly has Giorgio fallen for? Which woman is so amazing?

Seven ten in the afternoon.

Giorgio returned to the villa, and the air was peaceful. Charlie was sitting alone in the living room playing with a puzzle.

"Where did Anna go?" He actually left the child alone here.

Charlie lifted his small face. "Anna knew that you and Katherine were coming back, so she left at exactly seven o'clock, saying she was going to cook for Mr. Dalio."

Cook for Simon?

Giorgio's handsome face turned cold in an instant as he looked towards Little Tony. "What's going on?"

Little Tony trembled as he explained, "I don't know the details, but I know that Miss Stefanelli sent a message today saying that she will go to cook dinner for Mr. Dalio from now on, so she left at seven o'clock and asked me to arrange the work in advance."

Giorgio felt rage rise in his chest. Damn! Who allowed her to go?

"Call her and tell her to come back."

Giorgio's heart raced with a mixture of anger and jealousy as he thought about Anna meeting Simon. How could she do this to me? They shouldn't be together. The mere thought of them together, laughing, and sharing intimate moments made his blood boil.

Why does she need to see him anyway? What does he have that I don't? He had done so much for her.

I can't help but imagine them together in compromising positions. My mind conjures images of them sharing stolen glances, whispering sweet nothings, and touching each other intimately. It's torturous, yet I can't stop the jealousy from consuming me.

What if they've already crossed that line? What if she's fallen for him, and they're secretly seeing each other behind my back? The thought of Anna being with someone else is unbearable.

Why did she even agree to meet him? Does she have feelings for him? Is she comparing us? These questions haunt me, and I can't find peace. My anger is escalating, and I'm struggling to contain it.

Little Tony had never seen Mr. Vittorio lose control of his emotions like this. Fully understanding the source of his frustration, he weakly spoke up:

"...Mr. Vittorio, in my opinion, Miss Stefanelli's work hours for taking care of Charlie are from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. The rest of the time is her own personal time, and we shouldn't interfere. And, Mr. Vittorio...you should be concerned about Katherine, not Anna."

These words brought Giorgio back to his senses, making him realize that he was being bothered by Anna once again. Irritated, he loosened his tie and massaged his temples:
"What happened to Katherine?"

Little Tony answered, "Katherine bumped into a car when she ran out today, scraping her knee. I took her to the hospital, and she's okay now."

Giorgio let out a sigh of relief.

"Go to the hospital."

Giorgio sighed, To Katherine, he was responsible, at least because he had manipulated and forced her into redemption.

"Buy a bouquet of flowers and a new limited edition women's bag, and send them to her at the hospital."

Little Tony actually wanted to say, shouldn't Mr. Vittorio go himself? After all, when Anna had an accident, Mr. Vittorio rushed to the hospital. Why isn't Katherine treated the same way?
After Little Tony left, Giorgio returned to the study, with a noble posture on the sofa, cold and lonely.

For thirty years, no matter what happened, he could remain calm and composed, but when it came to the emotional fluctuations caused by Anna, for the first time, he felt challenged and troubled.

Tom's words echoed in his ears, "Of course, there's a bigger possibility, you like her."

Do I like that woman?

He would rather believe that he was mentally disturbed!

Thousands of miles away, the Crownhaven Vittorio family's lights were on tonight, with no one sleeping.

The once-in-five-year official election officially began today, with the winner taking all and the loser facing defeat. If they lose, they have to wait another five years. The competition can be said to be intense.

For the Vittorio family, this matter is of crucial importance.

The Vittorio family has always had a great reputation, but they have also created many competitors in various occasions. If the foundation of the Vittorio family is not stable, it will cause many hidden dangers.

Giorgio's father, Matteo Vittorio, said seriously, "I have looked at this year's list, they are all elites. At this time, when it comes to networking, we must find a way to increase our chances of winning."

Several children were hesitant, "But Dad, those who can make it on the list are not ordinary people. We have always been in business as the Vittorio family, and we are inferior in this aspect."

"Yes, Dad, they mostly rely on generational inheritance and have strong abilities. It will be difficult for us to get elected. Besides, they are too powerful. And we know they won't stop from resorting to illegal ways."

A few sentences left Matteo speechless.

Obviously, he also did not expect a better decision.

Just when everyone was at a loss, 80-year-old Viviana from the Vittorio family spoke up:
"Don't worry, as long as Giorgio marries Katherine, everything will be solved, because Katherine once saved my life."

"What? Saved your life? Why didn't you say so earlier? Call Giorgio right away!"

"But it seems like Giorgio doesn't really like Katherine? Otherwise, why has he not married for so many years?"

"He doesn't have a say in this matter. Katherine is kind-hearted and has such a powerful family background. If others find out about this, they will definitely have ideas about Katherine. If he doesn't marry her, is he waiting for someone else to marry her?"

Once Matteo finished speaking, he went straight back to his room.

The next morning at 6 o'clock, he immediately called Giorgio, "Giorgio, marry Katherine within a month."
