Chapter 117 Women, Take Responsibility
Edith?
Or is it his crush? Poor Katherine, turns out Giorgio has someone in mind for marriage.
"What are you thinking?" In her train of thought, the tall figure of the man stood in front of her, blocking her way.
Anna raised her gaze and looked at his three-dimensional, delicate, and exquisitely handsome face, and quickly shook her head.
"It's nothing."
His personal matters were none of her business.
Giorgio looked deep into her eyes, without asking too much. He took her hand and placed the medicine in her delicate palm, saying, "Twice a day, for the next two days, avoid contact with water and be cautious of infection." Anna couldn't help but feel that he, who rarely cared for others, had a deadly charm. Nodding, she quickly walked towards the elevator.
Giorgio followed and got into the elevator with her, pressing the floor button. As the elevator doors slowly closed, it felt like two different worlds were being separated.
Edith, standing at the entrance of the department, pulled her palm tight. Why did it feel like Giorgio had changed? And Katherine too? No, she was just a bitch! She climbed into Giorgio's bed back then, gave birth to a child, and now she must have used other means to seduce Giorgio into marriage.
Shameless!
...
Downstairs, upon learning that Anna and Giorgio were coming, Little Tony had already called the doctors and nurses in advance. The ward was quiet, with only two little ones flipping through books on the bed. When they saw the two adults, neither of the children paid any attention to them. Little Tony quickly stepped forward. "Giorgio, Miss Stefanelli, you finally came. Penny and Charlie haven't eaten all day, and Charlie didn't eat yesterday either."
Haven't eaten? Giorgio looked at his son's angry little face, suddenly recalled the busyness of the past two days with the wedding preparations, and realized that he neglected him. He walked over and said, "Shall I ask Tony to buy your favorite meatballs?"
Charlie raised his little head, looking up at him. "Uncle, do I know you? Who are you?"
Giorgio's face turned dark. "You brat, I'm your father!"
"Oh? So my father is with another woman and doesn't want me anymore? I don't have a father anymore," Charlie indignantly said. "At 22:22:22 last night, I unilaterally announced the termination of the father-son relationship. From now on, I'm a child without a father."
Giorgio's brow furiously twitched. Throughout his life, whether it was academics or work, everything had been smooth and perfect, except for this son who constantly opposed him. Afraid that Charlie would get beaten again, Anna quickly walked over. "Charlie, how can you go two days without eating? Come, have a meal."
Charlie looked at her, shook his head, and stubbornly said, "I won't. Since I don't have a dad, I don't want to eat."
Anna failed to find her words.
Does he really dislike Katherine that much? How badly did Katherine treat him in private? Helpless, she could only find an entry point with Penny, who was ill, "Penny, you're sick, why aren't you eating either?"
Penny pouted and looked at Anna innocently, saying, "If Charlie doesn't eat, I won't eat either. We're good friends."
Anna was taken aback.
These two little ones truly live up to being siblings. She sighed, pondered for a moment, and leaned in to whisper something in Charlie's ear quietly.
"Really?" Charlie's eyes lit up, filled with surprise and anticipation.
Anna smiled and replied, "Really, I never lie, you know. So, do you want to have dinner now?"
Charlie nodded eagerly, like a person crushing garlic.
"Yes, I want meatballs and chicken soup."
After two days of hunger, the two children finally agreed to eat!
Little Tony said, "I'll go buy it, right away."
"Charlie, if you're going to eat, I can eat too. My stomach is growling," Penny rubbed her little belly.
Giorgio rubbed her head gently and said softly, "Don't learn from Charlie in the future."
Penny looked at him, her happy face instantly turned gloomy like a withered flower, shaking her head.
"No, I listen to Charlie, not you."
Giorgio was astonished.
Did he offend the whole world by getting married?
It's unimaginable. If he really married Katherine, how distant would his relationship with Charlie become?
He looked deeply at Anna. "What did you just say to him?"
Did he really pay such special attention to her words? Was she that likable? Not only did she disturb his thoughts, but she also captivated his own son?
Anna narrowed her crescent-shaped eyes. "It's a secret."
That lively and cute appearance of hers was even adorable.
Giorgio frowned.
Could this woman still play mysterious?
Soon, Little Tony brought the food back.
The two little ones ate voraciously, and the scene was harmonious.
He looked on contentedly. They were growing up like this, maybe they could even become childhood sweethearts. That would be great.
Oh, right!
"Miss Stefanelli, I have something very important to tell you!"
"Huh? What is it?" Anna, startled by his suddenness, felt her heart tighten. "Has Penny's condition worsened?"
Little Tony shook his head and pulled Anna to a corner, lowering his voice to report.
"What!" A surprised voice echoed in the next second.
Giorgio furrowed his brows, thinking it must be bad news, and went over to support Anna's thin figure.
"What's wrong?"
Anna didn't pay any attention to him. Her mind was filled with Little Tony's words, and she incredulously asked, "Are you serious? Penny really isn't sick? She doesn't have leukemia?"
Little Tony nodded. "Yeah, last night I found the most authoritative cancer specialist at the hospital to personally examine Miss Penny. After two thorough examinations, the results showed she's healthy, just a bit weak."
His words were serious and his tone was firm.
Anna's eyes turned red. She hugged Giorgio tightly and excitedly jumped up and down.
"That's great, it's so great! Penny isn't sick, my Penny is healthy. It's really wonderful!"
She rubbed against his chest in excitement.
Giorgio was also happy about this news, but Anna rubbing against him like that punished his desire, leaving him stiff and unable to move.
Anna didn't care.
Realizing this, she continued to jump and dance with him, saying, "Penny is okay, Giorgio, did you hear? Penny is okay. This is the best news I've heard in a while."
"Hmm," Giorgio murmured with a deep and hoarse voice.
After a moment, he lowered his head and whispered in her ear, "Penny is okay, but if you jump again, I'm sure you won't be."
Anna was taken aback. And then, she suddenly realized that she was holding him in such an intimate manner and immediately blushed. What on earth had she done?
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to." She tried to step back.
But Giorgio firmly pulled her close, holding her waist. "If it wasn't intentional, then you don't need to take responsibility?"
