Chapter 365 Hospital Room Romance
Anna felt dizzy and almost collapsed.
The doctor continued, "Are you his family member? Please calm down. The patient is not in life-threatening danger, but he has a head injury and lost a lot of blood. We need to perform an emergency blood transfusion. Please sign the consent form as soon as possible."
Anna thought of something and quickly grabbed the doctor's hand. "Use my blood. My blood type is special and can be used for any blood type."
"How is that possible?" The doctor was skeptical.
Special blood types are extremely rare in this world. How could this frail-looking woman possess such a type?
Anna took out her phone. "Look, this is my personal medical record. If you don't believe me, you can test it again."
The information was given to her by Rizzo Langley.
The doctor’s eyes lit up when he saw the blood type section. "Alright, come with me for a test. If everything checks out, we'll use your blood."
"Okay!"
Anna quickly followed, cooperating fully throughout the process.
Half an hour later, she finished donating blood and came out.
The entire hospital was buzzing because of her blood.
"Did you hear? A special blood type appeared in the hospital today."
"That blood type is so unique! Except for that mysterious person twenty years ago, this is the first time!"
"I heard it's Anna, Giuseppe's girlfriend."
"Really?"
"Of course, and the injured person is Giuseppe. No wonder she volunteered to donate blood."
The discussions were endless.
Tom, in his office, heard the chatter and frowned in surprise.
The injured person was Giuseppe? He had heard someone was injured downstairs but never thought it would be Giuseppe.
The key issue was whether Anna knew her blood type was special and should be protected. How could she so easily donate blood?
He got up and walked out. As he reached the operating room door, he saw Anna sitting on a chair, anxiously waiting. He rubbed his temples.
"Anna, you're too careless. Your blood type shouldn't be exposed." Once people know about a special blood type, it can lead to exploitation.
Anna looked up at him, slightly surprised, then said, "It's okay. I just want to save Giuseppe. As long as he's safe, that's all that matters."
Tom felt helpless. If it weren't for Giorgio, he would have praised her for her devotion.
However, this woman, one moment she was concerned about Simon, the next about Giorgio.
Still, for Giorgio's sake, he used his authority to issue a notice.
[No one is allowed to discuss the blood type, and measures will be taken against those who know about it.]
The operating room door finally opened and the doctor came out. "Tom, Anna, thanks to the timely blood transfusion, Giuseppe is out of danger. He has a mild to moderate concussion and needs to stay in the hospital for a few days for observation."
Anna's heart finally settled. "Thank you, doctor. Which room is he in? I'll go take care of him."
"Top floor, VIP Room 88."
"Okay, thank you, doctor." Anna quickly followed to the room, anxious and concerned, not even greeting Tom.
Tom rubbed his eyebrows.
It seemed Anna really cared about Giuseppe. Could it be true love?
Should he tell Giorgio about this?
The mention of this would only bring sadness. It was better to remain silent.
Anna called Lucia to ask for leave and then stayed in the hospital room, watching over Giuseppe.
His phone had several missed calls. She only answered the secretary's call, informing him that Giuseppe was injured and couldn't work.
Around noon, several figures suddenly walked into the hospital room.
"Oh my God! My Giuseppe, why is your head bandaged like that? Are you okay?" Henna rushed to the bedside, anxious and worried.
Colombo also walked over. "How could you be so careless? Don't you know how to protect yourself?"
Besides them, Giorgio and Katherine also came.
Anna looked at them, slightly surprised. Why were they all here?
She quickly averted her gaze and said to Henna, "Giuseppe hasn't woken up yet. Don't disturb him."
"You have the nerve to say that! It's all because of you! If it weren't for you, would Giuseppe be injured?" Henna turned around, glaring angrily at Anna. "I've heard you bring bad luck to people. I didn't expect you to harm Giuseppe! Get out! I don't want to see you! If anything happens to Giuseppe, I won't let you off!"
Her words were sharp and commanding.
As a mother, Anna understood Henna's anger, but the condescending scolding still made her very unhappy.
She turned to leave.
"Anna." A weak voice sounded in the air.
Anna turned and saw Giuseppe opening his eyes. She quickly walked over and sat by the bed. "Giuseppe, you're awake? How do you feel? Should I call the doctor?"
Her face was full of worry and concern.
Giuseppe smiled slightly. "I'm fine. I can handle this minor injury. As long as you're safe, that's all that matters."
Anna felt a bit like crying from the grievance.
Ever since her identity was revealed, everyone hated and resisted her. He was the person she initially disliked the most, but in the end, he saved her again.
Her voice choked. "Are you stupid? I can handle minor injuries too. Don't do this again."
"I'm not stupid. As your boyfriend, it's my duty to protect you. Even if there's a next time, I'll make the same choice."
For a moment, the hospital room transformed into an intimate haven for their sweet talk.
Giorgio stood there, his face shadowed and increasingly cold.
He came to visit Giuseppe out of duty, only to see the two of them being affectionate?
Katherine felt even worse.
She wanted to teach Anna a lesson, but Giuseppe sacrificed himself to save Anna.
What on earth did she have that made them all act like this?
"Mom, Dad, Giorgio, you all should leave. I want some quiet time. Anna can stay here," Giuseppe's voice sounded again.
Henna wanted to say something but was stopped by Colombo. "Control your emotions. We'll talk when Giuseppe recovers. Don't disturb him now."
"Alright, Giuseppe, take good care of yourself. Don't think about anything else. I'll go home and make you some soup. Anna, take good care of Giuseppe. No slacking off!"
Henna's attitude toward Anna was completely different. After ordering Anna, she turned and left.
The room became quieter.
Katherine suppressed her anger and said to Giorgio, "Giorgio, let's go. Let's not disturb them."
Giorgio glanced at Anna, who was sitting quietly by the bed, her eyes only on Giuseppe. His face turned cold as he prepared to leave.
"Giorgio, wait," Giuseppe suddenly called out to him. "Are you going back to the villa? Could you give Anna a ride? I need her to bring some of our clean clothes here. We'll be staying in the hospital for a few days."
The hospital bed is so small, and they’re staying together?
Hearing this, Giorgio's eyes darkened even more.
