Chapter 418 Is It Completely Over?
The elevator doors opened.
"Ms. Stefanelli, take care on your way." Tony maintained his final act of chivalry.
As soon as Anna exited the elevator, he went directly upstairs, his demeanor suggesting that he might never see her again and that she should take care of herself.
Anna stood dazed at the elevator entrance, feeling a heavy stone pressing on her chest, making it hard to breathe.
She had a feeling that Giorgio was completely gone from her life.
"Anna!" Suddenly, Sara's voice rang out.
She ran up and hugged Anna's arm. "What a coincidence, you're here too."
"What's wrong? Did someone bully you?"
Anna looked up at her sister Sara, whom she hadn't seen in days, her nose tingling with sadness.
"Sara, Mr. Giorgio Vittorio and I are completely over."
"What?" Sara was shocked.
She wanted to say they never really started. But seeing Anna's tears fall as soon as she spoke, she panicked. "Don't cry, come with me."
She led Anna to a quiet garden rest area and asked for the details.
After listening, she was shocked. "You really shouldn't have tested him."
Anna was downcast, "I always felt he was just playing around. When Elena said it, I thought I'd take a gamble and did it. I didn't expect it to cause such harm."
Sara sighed and analyzed, "Think about it, you teamed up with someone else to test Mr. Giorgio Vittorio . This not only disrespects him but also shows you never trusted him from the beginning. Even now, you might still think Mr. Vittorio's feelings for you aren't real. This is the biggest insult and hurt to him. And then, pregnancy is a big deal, not something to joke about. You even aborted the child, making Mr. Vittorio worry and grieve for his child day and night. In the end, telling Mr. Vittorio it was just a test and a calculation, it's already merciful he didn't strangle you on the spot."
She had previously thought she was wrong, but Sara's words made her realize she had indeed gone too far.
"So what should I do? Is an apology still useful?"
Sara shook her head. However, "Anna, do you like Mr.Giorgio Vittorio and plan to win him back?"
Anna's eyelashes fluttered. "I, I don't. I just feel like I went too far and should explain the misunderstanding."
Sara clearly didn't believe her. "You're crying out of urgency, which is a sign of liking or loving someone! I'm telling you, if you want to win him back, do it quickly, or it will be too late."
Anna wiped her tears guiltily. She didn't know why she felt so sad and anxious just now. But as for winning him back, it seemed out of place between her and Giorgio.
Her phone rang. The caller: Elena.
Anna looked at it, feeling a surge of anger, and stood up.
"Sara, I have to go."
"Alright, I need to go find your brother. If you want to win Mr.Giorgio Vittorio back, ask me for strategies anytime!"
At the Maple Valley Estates, Elena anxiously waited at the door and finally saw Anna return. He approached her. "Ms. Stefanelli, you finally came back. Mr.Giuseppe Vittorio almost woke up earlier. I gave him a sleeping pill to keep him calm until now."
She was anxious and caring.
Anna, after knowing her truth, had always considered her a fellow sufferer, but it turned out to be a calculation.
She coldly looked at her. "So what if he wakes up? You lost our bet."
Elena was stunned!
At that time, the bet was that Giorgio had Anna abort the child for her safety. If there were no illness, Giorgio's choice would have been different.
She hadn't expected Anna to know so quickly.
The stone hanging over her heart suddenly fell with a heavy and shocking thud. It took her five seconds to recover.
"Ms. Stefanelli, since Mr.Giorgio Vittorio learned the truth today, I knew it wouldn't be long before you found out. I'm sorry, I had no choice at that time. I didn't want Mr. Giuseppe Vittorio's condition to worsen, and I didn't want him to be without a way out. I'm sorry. Ms. Stefanelli, blame me, but don't give up on Mr.Giuseppe Vittorio, okay? You saw it too, with your help, Mr.Giuseppe Vittorio could sleep without medication. His condition can completely recover! Please, Ms. Stefanelli!"
She knelt down directly.
Anna took a step back, stunned.
She hadn't expected Elena to be so loyal to Giuseppe.
Seeing her like this, she couldn't find an outlet for her anger.
More importantly, the harm to Giorgio wasn't caused by the bleeding disorder but by her deception and choice to test him with someone else.
In a sense, she trusted Elena but also didn't trust her.
Thinking of this, Anna felt even more depressed and uncomfortable.
"Get up, I'm going to my room."
Elena was surprised,’Just like that?’
She didn't know Anna had no mood to argue about anything at the moment. Her mind was a mess.
Back in her single room, she took out her phone, opened the call log, and wanted to make a call.
But, she didn't know what to say if she called.
Her apology, he didn't need it.
Frustrated, she put down the phone, walked into the bathroom, and stood under the shower, letting the water wash away her anxiety and unease.
It wasn't until midnight that she came out of the bathroom and went to sleep.
In the next morning, Giuseppe woke up, his eyes clear and bright.
Where was he? What happened?
"Mr.Giuseppe Vittorio, you're awake," Elena stood by the bed and explained kindly.
"Mr.Giuseppe Vittorio, you had an episode last night. Ms. Stefanelli comforted you despite the danger, and you managed to calm down without medication under her comfort and even slept until now. Mr.Giuseppe Vittorio, this is an unprecedented miracle."
Giuseppe recalled the scene of him choking Anna last night, his eyes tightened, and he sat up.
"Where is she? Is she alright?"
"She's fine. It's just..." Elena hesitated for three seconds before continuing, "Ms. Stefanelli learned that I bribed the doctor. She's very angry. Mr.Giuseppe Vittorio, I'm sorry, this was my mistake alone. I will beg for Ms. Stefanelli's forgiveness and not let her implicate you."
As she spoke, she kept slapping herself, hard and painful.
A complex emotion flashed in Giuseppe's eyes as he looked at Elena. "Forget it. You did it for my own good."
His voice was cold and indifferent, revealing no emotion. But, Mr.Giuseppe Vittorio wasn't angry. This was also a miracle!
Elena felt Giuseppe's condition was increasingly hopeful, quickly stopped hitting herself, and followed him out.
They arrived at Anna's room door.
"Anna?" Giuseppe knocked and gently said, "Are you awake? Let's talk."
The response was silence.
Elena apologized anxiously, "Ms. Stefanelli, I'm sorry. You can punish me however you want, but please come out and talk to Mr.Giuseppe Vittorio. Mr.Giuseppe Vittorio truly cares about you and didn't know anything. Please, Ms. Stefanelli, give us another chance."
However, no matter what they said, there was still silence inside.
Giuseppe adjusted his gold-rimmed glasses.
After a moment, he raised his hand and pushed the door open.
