Chapter 399 You've Provoked Me, Don't Think You Can Escape

"Mr. Vittorio, do we have something to discuss?" Anna pretended not to understand.

Giorgio stared at her, "Did you really forget?"

His scrutinizing gaze seemed like X-rays, capable of seeing through her soul.

Anna averted her eyes, "Yeah. You know that my memory has always been bad. I took some medicine last night, and I was completely out of it. Otherwise, I wouldn't have tried to kill you. But how did you manage to find me?"

She was trying to change the topic, but she genuinely didn't know that.

Giorgio replied, "I heard that driver mention hot water when I called you. So I deduced it was at a gas station. There's only one on that stretch of road. Since he gave you hot water, it means he wouldn't drive too far or go into town. He must have found a hidden place without surveillance, within a ten-minute drive. And there aren't many suitable locations."

So that's how it was. His deductive skills were too good and precise.

Anna was impressed and touched at the same time. Despite the heavy rain yesterday, he had seriously checked every possible location.

She vaguely remembered his silhouette appearing in front of the car, slightly wet clothes, hair hanging down, and fine raindrops on his handsome, chiseled face.

She felt uneasy, "What about that guy? Did you get his license plate or his appearance? I want to send him to the police."

"It is too lenient to sending him to the polic ," Giorgio said coldly,"I've already finished it so that he won't be able to do any more harm in his life."

'Not able to do any more harm in his life? Unless the man who hurt her lost his hands?'Anna thought.

"What did you do to him?" Anna was curious.

Giorgio's lips curled slightly, "Nothing much. I just severed the tendons in both his hands."

He told the brutal and bloody act casually .

Anna's hair stood on end. She couldn't imagine Giorgio severing someone's tendons with his bare hands. It was too bloody and terrifying.

At this moment, Giorgio raised his hand, pulled her down, and held her in his arms, staring at her intensely, "I'll ask you one more time. Do you want to talk about our matter? Are you sure you don't remember at all?"

His deep, husky voice carried a hint of danger.

Anna's breath tightened. Looking into his wolf-like dangerous eyes, she felt that if she answered wrong, he might devour her, or she would face a fate worse than severed tendons.

She pressed her lips tightly, scared and nervous, "I don't remember everything, but I do remember some things."

"What do you remember?" he pressed.

Anna instantly felt awkward.

She remembered kissing him, hugging him, clinging to him, and saying she liked him. But how could she say those things out loud!

Her face turned extremely red, lips tightly pressed, unable to utter a sound.

Seeing her shy expression, Giorgio leaned in, his lips close to her ear, "It seems you haven't forgotten and you're just embarrassed. Fine, I'll say it for you..."

He slowly and elegantly recounted her actions back then, "You clung to me while I was driving, kissing and teasing me. You even tried to unbutton my shirt, saying you liked me... Then in the hospital parking garage, you..."

Thinking about it, his Adam's apple bobbed, and a wave of heat surged in his heart. Staring at her lips, he really wanted to kiss her.

Anna felt his burning gaze, her heart tightening.

'Why did Giorgio stop talking? Did Ido something even more unspeakable? No, definitely not. Just what he mentioned was enough to make me blush!' Anna thought.

Her face turned extremely red. She averted her eyes, feeling guilty and flustered, "Okay, I remember those things, as you said. But you know, I wasn't in my right mind when I did those things, so it wasn't my true intention. I..."

Hearing this, Giorgio's gentle expression darkened, interrupting her, "So, you want to pretend none of this happened? Do you think I'm a man you can just kiss and toy with? Is that it?"

His tone carried a dangerous edge. He was angry.

Anna froze, extremely embarrassed.

She knew he was high above and mighty, feared by everyone, not someone anyone could easily approach or act out of line with. Indeed, she had gone too far.

‘But I couldn't possibly take responsibility for him, could I?’Anna thought.

"I'm sorry, truly sorry," Anna lowered her head in apology.

Her expression was full of helplessness, confusion, and embarrassment.

Giorgio tightened his grip on her waist, "Do you think all I want is an apology? Anna, you did those things to me, so you have to take responsibility. You provoked me. Don't think you can escape."

With that, he covered her lips.

He forcefully and dominantly invaded her.

Anna's eyes widened in shock.

Yesterday, she was truly not in her right mind, but what about today?

'What did he mean by making me take responsibility?'Anna thought.

She raised her hand to push him away.

He let out a muffled grunt.

Anna suddenly realized she had touched his wound and quickly let go.

As she let go, he moved closer, holding her, deepening the kiss, which was dominant and declarative.

Anna couldn't struggle at all.

Soon, her mind went blank. She couldn't breathe, and her body leaned into his arms.

Her thoughts were like drifting on the ocean.

Just as they were deeply engrossed in the kiss, a phone rang.

Giorgio ignored it, only pulling out one hand to touch the phone, rejecting the call, and continued.

However, the phone rang again.

It was too disruptive, ruining the atmosphere.

Giorgio paused, reluctantly letting go of Anna, "Wait for me."

Then he answered the phone. Anna stiffened in his arms, feeling both shy and annoyed.

'He told me to wait for him? As if I was eagerly anticipating their intimate interaction! Worse yet, when he kissed me just now, I couldn't refuse, and... Damn it! I wanted to leave.' Anna thought.

"Mr. Vittorio, that trash has been dealt with, and this matter won't leak. Do you need me to pick you up?"

Tony's respectful voice came from the phone.

Anna froze, holding her breath, instinctively not wanting anyone to know she was with Giorgio.

Giorgio glanced at her shy expression, his eyes softening, his hand continuously caressing her waist. He said, "No need. If there's nothing else, don't call again."

He hung up the phone directly.

He lifted her up slightly, "Let's continue."

Anna was both shy and flustered. She hadn't said she wanted to continue this with him!

"Giorgio, you..."

But before she could finish her sentence, another call came in. Giorgio was annoyed.

He thought it was Tony again and answered coldly, "Didn't I tell you not to call? If you're too idle, go run ten laps."

Katherine said on the end of the line, "Giorgio, it's me. What's wrong? Where are you?"

She sensed the impatience in his tone, as if he was in the middle of something and didn't want to be interrupted.

Thinking about how he didn't come home last night and Anna also disappeared, she felt a bad premonition, anxiously saying, "Grandma asked about you last night, and she asked again this morning. She just told me to call you. Giorgio, come back quickly."

Giorgio was slightly stunned.

He hadn't expected it to be Katherine's call.

Anna felt even more guilty at this moment.

She had done those things with Giorgio last night, and they had just kissed. Now she was sitting in Giorgio's lap!

'If Katherine found out, she must want to kill me .' Anna thought.

Giorgio quickly composed himself, his voice cold, "I'll be back in a while. We'll discuss the design draft in person."

He hung up the phone.

Anna let out a sigh of relief.

But his mention of the design draft surprised and embarrassed her.

'Was he planning to confront Katherine personally?' Anna thougt.
