Chapter 49 Can't bear to leave him

Little Tony slipped!

"Ah!" He was caught off guard and fell on his bottom.

As he fell, his hand touched the fresh mung beans and red beans that were hanging to dry on the side, causing two baskets to drop, and the red and green beans scattered all over the ground. And his butt was really hurting from the fall!

"Little Tony! Are you okay?" Anna anxiously walked up and reached out to help him. Little Tony rolled his eyes; wasn't it obvious that she was stating the obvious? She should try and see if there was anything wrong.

In the midst of the pain, his eyes caught sight of the pile of colorful beans. An idea flashed in his mind. He quickly stood up and said, "I just remembered that Charlie loves eating these beans. You should separate them!"

Separate them? Wasn't this just making things difficult for people! What's more, wasn't it Little Tony who fell? Why did he have such a happy expression on his face?

Anna couldn't understand and didn't dare to ask. "Alright, go ahead and busy yourself." Little Tony smiled and finally left. There were so many beans and they were so small; it would be difficult to separate them. By the time she was done, Mr. Dalio would definitely have left.

However, Mr. Vittorio seemed to be so concerned about Miss Stefanelli's interaction with Simon. From a man's perspective, could it be jealousy?

On the other hand, the same thought crossed Anna’s mind. Anna shook her head. What a stupid thought. Why would he be jealous?

Anna sighed and scolded herself inwardly for entertaining such foolish thoughts. "Come on, Anna," she chided herself, "Giorgio could never like someone like me. He's charming, confident, and has that magnetic presence that draws people in effortlessly. And he’s mafia extraordinaire, and I’m just…me. I stumble over my words and feel like a bumbling mess whenever he's around. And as for being jealous of my friendship with Simon, that's just wishful thinking. Why would he even spare a second thought on me? I need to stop this absurd daydreaming and get back to reality. Focus on being a good friend and let go of these illusions. It's time to face the truth and move on." Anna shook her head, determined to put these unrealistic notions to rest

Anna had no idea about Little Tony's scheming thoughts. She thought that since Charlie liked eating red and green beans, and these beans looked fresh and plump, they must have been bought with a lot of money. She didn't dare to be careless and began to separate the red beans and green beans one by one. This process took a good part of the day. The life of the wealthy can be so boring. Finally, by five o'clock in the afternoon, she had finished.

When Anna walked out, she saw Giorgio sitting on the sofa, working on his documents. The sunlight was shining on him, making him look handsome.

She was surprised. "Has Mr. Dalio already left?"

Giorgio looked up at her and replied, "Why, can't bear that he had to leave? Do you want to go back with him?"

His casual retort seemed like a tease but was actually sarcastic.

Anna laughed. "I was just curious. If Charlie doesn't come back even after I've separated the red and green beans, then I have nothing left to do. I'll go home first."

"Ring ring ring…" Just as she finished speaking, her phone rang.

Giorgio looked at the phone beside her. It was the alarm she had set last night. He stood up gracefully and said, "I'm going to pick up Penny."

What?

Pick up Penny? These few simple words felt like a bomb exploding in the air, shocking Anna so much that her face turned pale, and she looked incredulously at Giorgio.

"Why do you want to pick up Penny?"

Does he know?

Just the thought of it made Anna feel like she couldn't breathe.

Giorgio noticed her emotions and furrowed his brows. "I just promised the little girl's request and don't want to break my promise. Why are you so shocked?"

So that's it.

Anna let out a sigh of relief, but in her heart, she was speechless. Penny, that girl, was actually arranging to meet Giorgio behind her back.

Are you looking for a fight? Worried that Giorgio might notice something, she awkwardly said, "No, it's nothing. I just feel that Mr. Vittorio, you're so superior and flawless, and it's shocking to see you descend to a kindergarten."

Seeing her humble appearance, Giorgio couldn't be bothered. He picked up his car keys and phone, and walked outside.

Anna, feeling helpless, could only follow him.

Kindergarten.

It was the end of the school day, and the spacious school gate was filled with all kinds of luxury cars. Parents stood outside, some playing on their phones, some chatting, creating a lively atmosphere.

The scene inside the school was a delightful and heartwarming one. The room was adorned with posters displaying the alphabet, numbers, and various shapes, creating a vibrant and educational atmosphere. Small tables and chairs were scattered around, each with tiny name tags, representing a sense of individuality for the little learners.

In one corner, a group of children huddled together, engrossed in building a colorful tower with building blocks, their faces radiating joy and accomplishment as they carefully balanced each piece. Nearby, a few kids giggled while playing dress-up, adorning themselves with oversized hats, feather boas, and funny glasses.

At a small table, a patient and nurturing teacher sat with a group of children, guiding them through an art project. Their tiny hands carefully held paintbrushes, creating masterpieces that were proudly displayed on the classroom walls.

Amidst the playful chaos, a story time corner captivated the attention of a curious circle of kids, sitting cross-legged and wide-eyed as their teacher animatedly narrated a delightful tale.

Outside, in a small garden patch, a few children busied themselves with planting seeds, marveling at the miracle of nature as they hoped for tiny sprouts to emerge. Laughter and excitement filled the air, as kids interacted with enthusiasm and genuine curiosity.

Giorgio never liked this kind of scene, especially when he had things to take care of. He drove around, and parked at the back gate of the campus, entering the school. He detested children, of course, except his own.

The school security guard saw his designer clothes and luxury car, and sensed his imposing presence, assuming he was an inspector. He didn't dare to stop him.

In this world, aura really is important.

At that moment, the children in the classroom came out in line.
