Chapter 462 Parting Ways, Each Living Their Own Lives
Inside the private room, after they ordered and ate, Anna asked, "Have you thought of a reason for the breakup? How will you explain it to the public and Grandma?"
Giuseppe sat elegantly as he ate, then he shared his thoughts, "I think there's no need to make a big fuss about the breakup, as that would only make people curious about the reasons."
He added, "We can first post a private status on social media announcing the breakup. When our new relationships come to light, people will assume we cheated. At that point, we can post screenshots to show that we have already broken up amicably. This way, people's attention will be on the new relationships, and they won't discuss it too much."
Giuseppe asked her, "This is the best solution for now. What do you think?"
Indeed, this method was conservative and safe without causing any threats to both parties.
Otherwise, if they break up so quickly and people notice any signs of her and Giorgio being in a relationship, it would definitely cause a stir.
Thinking of this, Anna nodded in agreement and took out her phone, saying, "Agreed. I'll post 'parting ways,' and you post 'each finding happiness.'"
"Quite poetic and romantic," Giuseppe smiled faintly, looked away deeply, and did as Anna suggested.
Anna's post was not set to private but was only visible to Giorgio.
Afterward, she specifically thanked Giuseppe, "Although we had some unpleasant times, it's a fact that you saved me from jail and took good care of me."
"I might not have done everything perfectly, but I genuinely wish for us to part on good terms, and I wish us both the best in finding our happiness," she added.
A glass of soda was raised to toast, wishing them both luck.
Giuseppe, with deep eyes, raised his hand to clink glasses with her, saying, "Yeah, I'll work hard to achieve my happiness."
They drank this as a farewell drink.
After the meal, Giuseppe offered to take Anna home, but Anna smiled and declined.
After he left, she took out her phone to message Giorgio:
Anna: [I'm done, where are you?]
After receiving the message, Giorgio's eyes darkened slightly. He got up to pay the bill, and left.
"Hey? Giorgio, you're leaving so soon?" Edith questioned as she chased after him, deliberately sticking close to him.
She asked, "Giorgio, you didn't talk to me at all, and you barely ate. What's wrong with you?"
Her small voice carried a tone of complaint.
Edith had planned to seduce him in the private room, but before she could, he left with a serious expression.
'So why did he ask me out?' she thought.
The chatter around him was really annoying.Giorgio turned his gaze to Edith, frowning. "You're still here?"
Edith was stunned by his tone!
'What does he mean by 'still here'? Does he mean I should have left already? Isn't he supposed to spend time with me?' she thought.
And the most insulting part was that he hadn't even noticed her presence, treating her like air!
"Giorgio! You're so hurtful!" she complained. Edith's eyes instantly reddened as her eyes welled up with tears, and she stomped her foot in grievance.
Giorgio never comforted people, especially not Edith.
He looked at Anna, who was hailing a cab by the roadside, and said, "I have something to do. I'm leaving."Then, he walked away quickly.
Edith was furious!
No matter what, she was the lady of the Garcia family, adored by everyone.
'How could he ignore me like this?' she thought in grievance.
In her anger, she saw him walking towards a familiar figure and suddenly realized!
'Katherine! This woman is like a thorn in my side!' she thought.
"Giorgio," Edith deliberately chased after him, her voice intimate and affectionate.
Giorgio?
Anna heard the familiar voice, turned around, and saw Edith held Giorgio's arm affectionately, smiling as they walked towards her.
'How how could they be together?' Anna was confused.
Edith, being perceptive, released his arm before Giorgio could speak and smiled at Anna, saying, "Are you waiting for Giorgio here? Why didn't you contact him earlier? We were having steak in the private room. It was delicious."
She was boasting, excluding, and showcasing her closeness with Giorgio.
Anna's eyebrows furrowed slightly.
She knew Edith had special feelings for Giorgio and had seen her malicious side.
But she truly disliked Edith for mistaking her for Katherine and boasting in front of Katherine without any shame.
She said curtly, "Miss Garcia, Giorgio is waiting for me. I was also dining in the private room earlier."
Realization dawned on Edith.
'No wonder Giorgio was so distracted; he was waiting for Katherine! And I'm just a fool with wishful thinking, boasting here. So embarrassing!' Edith thought.
Anna looked at her embarrassed expressions without any sympathy and added, "By the way, Miss Garcia, it's really funny watching you deliberately boast and attempt to sow discord."
After saying that, she linked her arm with Giorgio's and said, "Giorgio, let's go."
She was claiming her territory!
"You!" Edith's expression twisted in anger, and she couldn't help but blurt out, "You think Giorgio likes you? It's only because of Charlie and his Grandma that he still remains by your side! Giorgio told me himself that he has no feelings for you and is not even interested in touching you. Aren't you tired of living in a loveless marriage?"
Anna hadn't expected that Giorgio even told Edith all this.
If she wasn't angry about him appearing with Edith, she was definitely hurt by their close relationship and the things he shared with her.
Noticing Anna's expression, Giorgio coldly told Edith, "This has nothing to do with you. Go back."
"No, Giorgio, you originally…" Edith tried to say more.
"Edith," Giorgio interrupted her, his face cold. "Don't make me say it a third time, go back."
Edith sensed his genuine anger and reluctantly pursed her lips, saying, "Then I'm leaving, Giorgio, take care."
Then, she gave Anna a fierce glare and turned to leave.
As the sound of high heels faded away, the air became quiet.
Giorgio looked at Anna's delicate, fair face and explained, "I happened to run into her downstairs at the hospital. You also pretended to be Katherine in front of her. To avoid unnecessary trouble, I didn't explain your real identity to her."
In other words, Edith's words were aimed at Katherine, so she shouldn't overthink it.
Instead, Anna felt very angry, not sure if it was directed at Edith or Giorgio.
But having argued enough today, she didn't want to ruin their relationship further.
Taking a deep breath to suppress her emotions, she tried to stay calm, asking, "Have you eaten? Should we go watch a movie or something?"
Giorgio was also not in a good mood.
Considering the day's events were bad enough, he didn't say much and replied, "Let's go to the movies. I had Tony prepare the tickets."Then, he took her to the cinema.
Anna sensed his mood, feeling curious and upset.'Why is he so cold? is he angry? Probably because I was rude to Edith,' she thought.
After all, he had a special relationship with Edith, who had saved him in the past. If she were to argue with Edith, he might think she was being unreasonable and rude.
This realization only served to further upset Anna.
However, she knew she had to remain composed. Looking outside the cinema, she was surprised.
"A drive-in theater?" she uttered.
