Chapter 198 Mr. Vittorio Threw Up
This whole bowl of noodles had to be finished! This breakfast was the worst breakfast Giorgio had ever eaten. Not only that, but he had to savor it and force it down without showing any emotions! Damn it! Those short twenty minutes were torture.
As soon as Giorgio left his house and reached the underground garage, he rushed to the nearest trash can and vomited everything out. His assistant, Little Tony, opened the car door and was taken aback but the sight of Giorgio throwing up.
"Mr. Vittorio, what's wrong with you?" Little Tony exclaimed in concern. "Why did you throw up? Are you pregnant? No, that’s impossible. Only women get pregnant. Mr. Vittorio, are you okay?"
His voice was anxious and worried. After all, if Mr. Vittorio faced any health problems, it would be their assistants who would suffer!
Giorgio glanced at him coldly, clutching his chest. "Irritating! Bring me some water!"
Little Tony trembled and immediately responded,"Yes, Mr. Vittorio!"
He quickly ran back to the car and brought a new bottle of mineral water and a thermos.
Being Mr. Vittorio's assistant meant being prepared for any situation.
Sitting in the car, Anna watched Giorgio's tall figure vomit relentlessly into the trash can. Her eyebrows furrowed with growing concern. She couldn’t help but regret going so far with the salt and spices. What if it had a negative impact on his health? Moreover, he held a position of immense power, and the consequences of his displeasure could be severe.
"Anna, don't worry, it's no big deal for men to throw up a couple of times." Charlie comforted Anna, knowing that what Dad said hurt her.
Besides, Dad is in great shape, no need to worry at all.
Anna sighed in relief and said,"You’re right. It's nothing to be worried about. It's none of my business. I'm going to sleep. Wake me up when we arrive."
After speaking, she closed her eyes and fell asleep. She had no intention of apologizing to Giorgio!
Little Tony, who had returned to get tissues, stood awkwardly on the side, overhearing their conversation. If Mr. Vittorio were to find out what Charlie and Miss Stefanelli were saying, he would not be physically illness but emotionally hurt he would be facing.
Throughout the day, Giorgio felt miserable, constantly vomiting and drinking endless amounts of warm water, but the overwhelming salt and spice persisted in his mouth. What infuriated him even more was Anna’s complete indifference- she didn’t express concern or offer and apology.
"Anna, how about we call Simon and Penny? It's been a while since I last saw them." The two children had a good relationship, so it was natural to want to get in touch.
Anna also missed Penny, not really thinking about Charlie's intentions. She nodded and agreed, sending a voice message to Simon.
"Simon, are you available? It's the weekend today. Charlie suggested we get together.”
Meanwhile, in his office, Giorgio bore a grim expression and a deep sense of frustration.
"Charlie, you've been talking about Simon all morning. If you like him so much, why don't you go live with him?"
"Charlie, come over and make copies of these documents," came the stern and cold, commanding voice.
Charlie pouted, objecting,"Daddy, I'm only 3 years old."
"So, what if you're 3? I can see you're bored," Giorgio grumbled, growing more irritable by the moment as he ignored his son’s protests.
The more Giorgio looked at his stubborn son, the more irritated he became.
Whimper~ Daddy is so mean.
Charlie looked sad but wondered,“Is Daddy getting angry?”
It appeared that his reverse psychology is working; he needed to keep pushing!
Meanwhile, in the Jade Villa at Vista Heights.
Simon was engrossed in work when he received a call from Mirlinda. She was complaining of a stomachache and insisted that he come back. He placed his briefcase down and went upstairs.
Upon seeing Mirlinda lying on the bed, he furrowed his brows slightly.
"I had arranged for the maids to take care of things at home. You can ask them for anything."
Mirlinda shook her head,"No, the baby might need his dad. He won't be settled unless you come back."
Simon said,"The baby is not fully formed yet. Do you think he can have emotions?"
Mirlinda's beautiful face froze; she had forgotten that Simon's parents were medical professors. How could he not know this?
She didn't know what to say.
Simon walked up and sat on the chair next to the bed, saying:
"Miss Greco, although I will take responsibility for this child and marry you, I cannot develop any feelings for you. You can only have the identity of Mrs. Dalio. Of course, I will not betray my marriage."
"Second, you can secretly have the child, leave Vista Heights, and I will genuinely take care of the child. You can find someone who genuinely loves you to marry. I will assist you in any help or material conditions."
"Third, if you don't want to have a child for a person like me, it's still early enough to consider an abortion. Again, I will fulfill all your material conditions."
Each sentence was gentle and steady, delivered in the most pleasing voice, but the words were the cruelest and most chilling.
None of the options were satisfying.
Mirlinda felt a stab in her heart, finding it both ridiculous and pitiful.
Look, this is the man she fell in love with at first sight. Even though she did something so crazy yesterday and is now pregnant, he couldn't say anything nice to her.
She smiled, a stunning and enchanting smile.
"I'll choose the first one."
She wanted to exhaust the time, even if it took a lifetime, just to hear him say that he loves her.
Simon hesitated for a moment.
He hoped she would choose the second option. He thought that Anna had Penny, so he had his little treasure, and they could be together.
Stay as a family, with Anna's temperament, and he would treat the child as his own. However, for now, he could only respect Mirlinda's decision. “Alright, as you wish,” he stood up and took out his phone, ready to call Giovanni. Unexpectedly, he received a message from Anna and opened it with his finger.
Then, a sweet and soft voice entered his ears. “Simon, are you there? It's the weekend today, are you with Penny? Charlie said he wants to see you guys.”
Simon just realized that it was the weekend and he had promised Penny that he would spend time with her. He quickly replied,“I'm coming over now. We can video call in half an hour.”
Then, he instructed the servant nearby to “take good care of Miss Greco” and left.
Mirlinda sat on the bed, her long nails digging into her flesh. She had sent countless messages from yesterday to today, and finally, when she said she had a stomachache, he rushed back home. Now, Anna's message made him leave.
It seems that he truly loves Anna.
But Mirlinda wouldn't give up so easily! Even if she had to use this child, even if she had to steal him, she would keep him by her side. She couldn't believe that Anna could take away her man. She wouldn't warm his heart for a lifetime!
And what about Anna?
She wouldn't let her seduce her man away from her.
...
When Anna received Simon's message, she was with Charlie, printing some documents.
"Charlie, Mr. Dalio said we can video call in half an hour. Let's hurry and finish printing."
"Oh! Okay!" Charlie glanced at Giorgio, who was visibly upset at his desk, intentionally raising his voice and saying, "I want Mr. Dalio to spoil you, spoil you, and spoil you, and then tell Mr. Dalio to marry you soon. I'll be the ring bearer! It would be even better if you two have a cute child like me, named Denny."
Marriage, having a child, Denny?
Giorgio listened and felt an uncontrollable frustration rising in his heart. He couldn't bear it anymore.
'Clap!' He closed his laptop, stood up, and walked towards them in long strides.
