Chapter 121 I Curse You

Renaldo only found out the full story by reading her journal after the funeral.

He told this to Giorgio who listened in silence. Renaldo had already found the man who raped his sister and punished him severely. Next, he made sure the agency his sister worked at went under.

His family wasn't as powerful as Giorgio's, so it took him a while to gather enough power to go after him next. But alas, he had flown too close to the sun and now he was stranded with him on this mountain, about to die.

Giorgio was in a state of pure confusion.

It was only then that he remembered messing around with a girl named Caroline some years ago who said she wanted to be a model, but she became too inlove with him so he cut her off.

Renaldo confirmly believed that if she hadn't met Giorgio, those series of unfortunate events would have never happened and his sister would still be alive. Everything was because of this wicked man!

"You are a bastard, through and through!" Renaldo yelled. "Because of you, my sister is buried in the Crownhaven cemetery! If you kill me tonight, I have someone who will expose all your secrets to the outside world. Your family name will be taken to the dirt."

Giorgio tapped on the earpiece in his ear, gun still aimed at Renaldo. "Did you get it done?"

Tom responded almost immediately. "The man who's computer we traced the photos back to has been disposed of. I also deleted all his backup files and set his house on fire."

"Good. Your man is dead, now!" Giorgio said to Renaldo and relayed the details.

He nearly broke down.

That man was his cousin and best friend.

He had lost two important people in his life to this cruel man.

And one of their deaths was his fault.

Renaldo resigned and walked to the edge of the mountain top of his own free will.

Giorgio cursed, "Get back here! You have a lot of questions to answer! Were you the reason Katherine is in a coma? How did you find out about Anna?"

Renaldo couldn't help but laugh. This man only cared about himself.

He turned around with his arms spread wide open. "I curse you in the name of Caroline! Your secrets will be opposed sooner than later! You will experience the pain and hurt of falling in love! And I hope it hurts a million more times than it did my sister. To make this wish come true, I'll sacrifice my own life!"

And he did so.

Before Giorgio could grab him and find out what else he knew, Renaldo tossed himself off the mountaintop, eventually losing his life in the process.

Giorgio stared at his now lifeless body with cold eyes. "What a stupid man," he muttered to himself and turned away.

Tom picked him up, but instead of going home, he ordered his men to go clean up the scene and send Renaldo's body back to his family.

Giorgio went to the Crownhaven cemetery and made Tom wait in the car. He picked some wildflowers off the ground and carried it with him.

He found her grave without much work.

Caroline Glorian.

22.

Beautiful sister and daughter.

May your light shine on us from heaven.

Giorgio placed the flowers on her headstone. He stood silently in the night for ten seconds. Then, he lifted his head and left the cemetery, ready to head back home and finally get some sleep.

The next morning.

Anna woke up early, and when she woke up, the two little ones were still sleeping, one on each side, lying next to her, cute and well-behaved.

This scene was like a dream.

If time could just freeze at this moment, or continue like this, it would be so nice.

What is she thinking?!

Right now, she was only replacing Katherine, there absolutely cannot be any extra thoughts.

Once Katherine wakes up, everything will return to the starting point, and she will leave.

'Ding dong ding dong!'

The phone rang.

Anna quickly picked up the phone and silenced it, then got out of bed and walked out,

"Hello, Simon? Good morning."

As Giorgio finished exercising and went upstairs, he heard the sound and looked up, seeing a woman in pajamas in the corridor.

With milk-white shorts and a spaghetti-strap nightgown, her hair casually scattered, the just-awakened young woman exuded laziness and innocence.

"Anna, I have dealt with my relationship with Mirlinda, and father has not mentioned it again. How are things on your end?"

Simon's elegant voice came through the phone, and in the quiet morning corridor, it could be heard clearly.

Anna's gaze turned into a smile. "Really? Well, you better focus on your work. Things are good on my end, and Penny is fine, no need to worry. I'll wait for about a month, or maybe less, and then I'll come back."

"Hmm? Penny is cured?" Simon was surprised.

Anna didn't want him to know about Richard Dalio, so she avoided the topic.

"Yeah, um... they said it was a misdiagnosis, no major health issues."

"Misdiagnosis? Vista Heights General Hospital and Dalio Hospital both made a misdiagnosis?" Simon's voice carried a hint of anger.

After a moment of doubt, he paused, as if he realized something, and said, “Anna, as long as Penny is fine, take care of yourself and Penny. If you need anything, call me, I'll have my friends over there to help."

His voice was warm and gentle, showing his consideration.

Anna nodded, "Okay. I want to see you healthy and handsome when I come back! Love you!"

She focused on the call and didn't notice the man behind her on the stairs whose face turned dark.

After Simon responded warmly and hung up the phone, a deep and profound expression flashed in his softened eyes. He took a step forward and went straight to the room door, heading downstairs.

Richard Dalio was sitting on the couch, sipping tea and watching the morning news. When he saw Simon coming down, he wore a friendly expression and said, "Simon, come and see this news, it seems to have similarities with the project you were in charge of."

Click!

The television was immediately turned off.

Simon walked over, looking down at his father with a serious expression.

"Did you tamper with Penny's case?"

His tone seemed like a question but it carried more of an affirmation.

Richard Dalio stood up from the couch in anger:

"This woman, she clearly said she wouldn't tell you, yet she spilled the beans so quickly! Misleading! Absolutely morally bankrupt!"

Simon's eyes darkened in an instant. Indeed, he hadn't guessed wrong. He knew things wouldn't be that simple.

"Dad, it was my own judgment, nothing to do with Anna."

How could it have nothing to do with that woman? If she hadn't leaked the news, how would Simon have known?

Richard Dalio wanted to speak again, but Simon interrupted him first. "Dad, I'm very disappointed. After living with you for thirty years, it turns out I don't know you well enough."

With that, Simon left directly, leaving his father with a resolute figure.

In all these years, it was the first time the father and son had argued.

Richard Dalio's chest heaved, his face turning pale.

That woman!

It was all because of that despicable woman!

Unaware of the injustice that had befallen her, Anna hung up the phone and made her way to Giorgio's room to freshen up and change clothes.

However, after searching for a while, she wasn't satisfied with any of her options. They were either too revealing, too flashy, or too uncomfortable to sit in.

Click. At that moment, Giorgio walked in wearing sportswear, emitting a masculine charm all over.

Anna hurriedly walked over. "Mr. Vittorio, about the clothes..."

"Ah!"

Before she finished speaking, he suddenly took a step forward, his arm passing by her side, pressing her against the wall.

She was being pressed against the wall again!
