Chapter 414 Let's Talk About Something Else, Hmm?
Every word of his was high praise.
And Giorgio Vittorio had never praised anyone like this before.
Everyone else agreed, "Indeed, it's a great idea."
"We were all shocked when we saw it."
"Young people have better, bolder ideas."
"The new generation always replaces the old one."
Every sentence was a compliment.
Anna felt comforted after being wrongly accused of plagiarism.
She proved she was excellent and capable.
She felt like crying but smiled. "Thank you all. But it doesn't deserve so much praise."
Anna looked at Viviana, a bit uneasy.
"Viviana, you said everyone has the right to design. I'm not a Vittorio yet, but I want to give this design as a birthday gift to Giuseppe. Can you keep your word and give the project to him?"
Everyone was surprised.
She could have used it under her name or sold it, but she wanted to give it to Giuseppe.
Giuseppe was astonished.
He rarely celebrated his birthday. If Anna hadn't mentioned it, he would have forgotten today was his birthday.
And she not only designed a great piece but was also so kind to him.
He felt very warm inside.
"Anna, thank you."
Anna smiled at him. "No need to thank me, as long as you're happy."
Giorgio stood beside them.
Her smile was too dazzling.
Thinking about the past week, she hadn't even smiled at him, let alone talked. He felt a stone was blocking his heart, and said, "Viviana keeps her word, so let Giuseppe take charge of this project."
He couldn't wait to sever their relationship completely.
Even a contractual relationship couldn't be tolerated.
Viviana didn't deny it.
She had said it herself, so she wouldn't go back on her word.
Moreover, after last time and this time, she thought she should change her view of Anna.
"Alright, Giuseppe will be the project manager. Giorgio, you will assist him, and everyone else should cooperate. As for Anna, you can ask for any condition, and The Vittorio family will meet them."
Any condition.
So precious! It was like a special exemption order from a king.
Anna felt a surge of joy and happiness.
But she didn't immediately make any requests, saving them for when she really needed them.
She said, "Thank you, Viviana. I'll let you know when I need it."
Her smile was pure and dazzling.
Katherine's hand clenched tightly.
She felt a mix of resentment, jealousy, envy, and hatred.
Once out of the meeting room, she dragged Anna to a secluded storage room.
"Anna, you just love stealing the spotlight. Taking my glory."
Anna looked at her angry, contorted face, her own face calm.
"What? As your sister, I designed a good piece, and all you can show is this angry face. No blessings?"
"You don't deserve blessings," Katherine said mockingly.
She stepped closer to Anna, her fierce eyes staring straight at her.
"Have you forgotten what happened four years ago? You shouldn't even be in the Vittorio family, shouldn't seek any presence! You're just trying to take my place. Shameless."
Her voice was sharp, full of disgust.
Anna had long seen through her.
There was no sisterly affection in her eyes, only scheming.
Anna shot back, "If you hadn't forced me to have a child, there'd be no chance of replacing you. If you hadn't been with Giuseppe and the video hadn't leaked, I wouldn't be in the Vittorio family. If you hadn't stolen my designs, I wouldn't have created this striking piece. So, thanks, sis."
"You!"
Katherine raised her hand in anger.
Anna grabbed it.
"I told you, don't hit me again. If you want peace, stop. Just because I haven't pursued the theft doesn't mean I won't. And you look really ugly when you're angry."
With that, she smiled and walked out, feeling victorious while Katherine fumed.
Katherine stomped her foot hard. "Damn it!"
She composed herself and walked out, just in time to see Viviana being pushed by Sofia. She quickly put on a smile and approached.
"Viviana, where are you going? Let me help."
"No need," Viviana said coldly. "Katherine, you should learn from your sister. Her talent is innate. At least in terms of attitude, you don't measure up. Sofia, take me back to my room."
Viviana left.
Katherine stood there, feeling like she was doused with ice water.
Even Viviana, who disliked Anna the most, thought Anna was good!
What to do?
She had to stop Anna's progress!
After leaving the storage room, Anna walked towards Maple Valley Estates in a good mood.
Now that she had secured the Greenwoodproject, she just needed to help Giuseppe recover, and victory was in sight.
"Anna."
She turned and saw Giuseppe approaching. Looking at the decent man in front of her, sometimes she felt that night was a dream, not his doing.
She smiled faintly, "Congrats on getting the project. Keep it up!"
She was smiling but distant.
Giuseppe felt uncomfortable and said, "Anna, come join me in the therapy."
"What?" She was surprised.
He explained, "The illness is torture for others and even more so for me. I'm afraid of being found out, pretending to be normal every day. You and Elena are the only ones who know about my illness. Yet, I hurt you. I've been blaming myself. I want to cure it completely."
Anna felt sad.
He was indeed pitiful.
She just hoped he would get better soon and let her leave.
She smiled faintly. "Okay. I'll go with you today."
"Alright, I'll go to the garage. You get ready and come down," Giuseppe said as he turned to leave.
Anna walked towards Maple Valley Estates.
She hadn't slept much in the past week, feeling a bit off, so she needed some tea to clear her head before going out.
Just as she stepped into the room, a tall figure appeared.
She was caught off guard and fell into Giorgio's embrace. Looking up, she saw his cold, handsome face.
"Mr. Vittorio? Why are you here?"
It was daytime, and everyone was at home today. There were many people around.
If discovered, it would be hard to explain.
She hurriedly pushed him. "Let me go first."
Giorgio held her waist, took a step forward, and pinned her between the wall and his body, saying, "Besides asking me to let go, can you say something else?"
