Chapter 387 He Didn't Believe, She Didn't Feel

Anna's emotions were dominated by concern and regret at the moment. She shouldn't have been so focused on Giuseppe, putting him in danger.

She felt helpless,"Why are you bringing up these questions at this time?

"What if you end up with scars on your face?

"What if your wounds get infected and you die in the mountains?

“If it weren't for me, none of these wounds on you would exist.

”It's all my fault. I shouldn't have wandered around and shouldn't have let you go.“

She cried and spoke, her voice hysterical, on the verge of breakdown. Giorgio's heart softened as he watched her cry. The girl who was usually strong and sharp, crying like a helpless child. He couldn't believe her feelings for him were so simple, which could easily be transferred to another man.

He lowered his head, lifted her chin with one hand, and kissed her forcefully. His kiss was domineering, assertive, yet surprisingly gentle.

Anna froze. In the next moment, she pushed him away, "Are you even normal? You're so badly injured, yet you still want to kiss me. You..."

Before she could finish her words, Giorgio's tall figure, being pushed by her, fell directly to the ground.

"Giorgio? Giorgio!" Anxiously, Anna squatted beside him, crying again, "I'm sorry. I didn't realize you were injured and I didn't mean to be so rough. Are you okay? Please don't scare me."

She cried, quite agitated.

Giorgio, however, was content while listening to her.

His deep gaze locked onto her, saying, "Alright, stop crying. I'm not dead yet."

Anna was stunned.

Giorgio added, "That huge beast was a wild boar. It probably went mad from eating poisonous mushrooms in the mountains. I went over because it was actually preparing to attack Giuseppe, and it took some effort to kill it. Most of the blood was from the boar, I just had trauma and it's the first time it hit me, so I had no life-threatening injuries."

Because he was injured and struggling with the mad boar, the fight lasted so long.

He fell down due to multiple wounds and exhaustion.

"You said you weren't injured before, right? Why did you still go there when you were injured?" Anna shouldn't have believed him then.

Giorgio, looking at her, asked calmly, "Did I ask you to come and get hurt?"

His indifferent question carried a lot of meaning. He cared for her and didn't want her in danger!

Anna was once again speechless.

She felt that despite his noble and aloof appearance, he was actually tender and considerate. His tenderness surrounded her like a big ball of cotton, making her easily sink in and reluctant to leave. She didn't know if she could resist his charm.

"Mr. Giorgio Vittorio?"

"Mr. Giorgio Vittorio? Is it you?"

At this moment, Tony's voice rang out.

Anna snapped back to reality, collected her thoughts, picked up the torch from the ground, stood up, and shouted loudly, "Over here!"

Tony, also professionally trained in wilderness survival, was sensitive.

Upon hearing her voice, he immediately ran over.

"Mr. Giorgio Vittorio, Mrs. Stefanelli, you're here!"

"Mr. Giorgio Vittorio, how did you get so many injuries! Doctor, come up and check on him!"

Indeed, Tony was considerate, knowing injuries could happen in the mountain, so he brought a doctor along.

Anna saw the doctor examining Giorgio, breathed a sigh of relief, and quietly stepped aside.

"Mrs. Stefanelli, where's Mr. Giuseppe Vittorio? Have you seen him?" Tony inquired.

Before Anna could respond, Giorgio answered first,

"Straight ahead, at 12 o'clock direction, he was in the bushes where my coat was placed."

"Alright, I'll take people over there immediately!"

After half an hour, Giorgio's injuries were finally treated.

Giuseppe was also found, and everyone returned cautiously.

It was already 3 a.m. Katherine, seeing Anna return alive but Giorgio covered in wounds, felt both angry and resentful.

'Why was Anna always so lucky!'

She suppressed her emotions and walked up to Giorgio, "Giorgio, are you okay?"

Viviana almost fainted, seeing the serious injuries of Giorgio .

Viviana said,"Anna! You've grown up, but still get lost? You always bring bad luck. Why does Giuseppe like you so much?"

Henna, upon learning her son Giuseppe was sent to the hospital unconscious, was furious. So she said, "Anna, if anything happens to my son because of this, I will make you pay! Why are you still standing here doing nothing? Giuseppe was already sent to the hospital. Follow me there immediately! Take good care of him and repay his kindness to you!"

Everyone here looked at Anna with disgust and repulsion.

Anna knew it was her fault, and she couldn't argue back.

She turned around, ready to leave.

"I was just about to go to the hospital for a check-up. Let's go together," Giorgio's clear voice rang out.

Everyone looked over and saw Giorgio, so they didn't dare say much.

Viviana added, "Indeed, you should go check your physical condition. Katherine, you accompany Giorgio. Don't let Anna ruin your trip and harm Giorgio and Giuseppe."

"Grandma," Giorgio's voice was low.

He was about to speak in defense of Anna.

Fearful of provoking more dislike from Viviana, Anna quickly interrupted him,

"Grandma is right. It's my fault this time. I'm sorry. Let's go to the hospital first!"

Her eyes held a plea.

Giorgio understood, his gaze darkened, and he walked out with a cold expression. Katherine and Anna hurried to follow. Tony had already called for a car. Anna walked to the front, preparing to sit in the passenger seat.

"Anna, come here," Giorgio's cold command rang out.

She was surprised and embarrassed, and thought this was not appropriate.

'Shouldn't he be sitting with Katherine? Why call her?'Anna thought.

Katherine was also taken aback.

'Was he so blatantly disregarding her feelings now?' Katherine thought.

Under their gaze, Giorgio said, "You are able to take care of the wounds and help me bandage them in time."

Anna, feeling awkward, couldn't refuse and walked over, feeling a bit guilty.

Though angry, Katherine didn't dare say much. She walked to the front and sat in the passenger seat. The atmosphere in the car was incredibly awkward.

Tony felt helpless. If he had known this would happen, he wouldn't have lent the car and he should have just called someone to drive! He didn't want to be part of this awkward atmosphere, but he had no choice because he was the driver.

Forty minutes later, the car arrived at the underground parking lot of Maple Hill Hospital.

Anna opened the car door and got out, saying, "Mr. Giorgio Vittorio, go get a full-body CT scan. I'll go see Mr. Giuseppe Vittorio first. Katherine, please take care of Mr. Giorgio Vittorio."

With that, she quickly ran off.

She could already see Katherine's resentful gaze.

Seeing her leave, Katherine suppressed her anger and walked up to Giorgio, saying, "Giorgio, let me accompany you for your check-up."

"No need. I know the extent of my injuries," Giorgio said coldly, looking at her, saying, "You go find a nearby room to rest early."

Then, he strode upstairs. Katherine stood still.

'If he wasn't going for a check-up, then he came here specifically to bring Anna to the hospital!'

At this moment, her phone rang.

Katherine looked at the caller ID, went outside, and answered quietly.

"Miss, I've done what you asked for. When will the money be transferred?"

"The person I wanted to deal with came out unscathed, and you still want money?"

"Alright! Shut up! I can transfer the money to you, but I warn you that you can't leak this out."

In the hospital, Giuseppe had already come out of the emergency room.

As soon as Anna entered the room, she saw—
