Chapter 475 Three Choices

'Did Uncle Giorgio pull some shady stuff while she was out cold?' he wondered.

"Mr. Vittorio," Sara piped up. "You gotta bounce. This kid ain't your business, and don't think you can use the kid to mess with Anna. She ain't gonna change her mind about you or shack up with you just 'cause of the kid."

Her tone was icy, a total 180 from how she treated Giorgio.

Giuseppe shrugged it off, gave her a quick look, and strolled away.

Today, Giorgio was chilling at the Greenwood project office. Seeing him all fancy, making a call, Giuseppe walked in and said, "Uncle Giorgio, you got any plans for dealing with Anna's grandma's situation?"

Giorgio finished his call, looked up with a frosty stare, and said, "That's none of your business. And remember, she's your future aunt-in-law, so show some respect."

Giuseppe's lip twitched. He hadn't pegged Giorgio as such a control freak before. Remembering why he was there, he cut to the chase, "Uncle Giorgio, I got a serious question. I need a straight answer."

"Shoot," Giorgio replied, all business.

Giuseppe adjusted his glasses and asked, "Did you and Anna ever get laid when she was my girlfriend?"

Blunt as a hammer.

Giorgio's eyes turned icy, like daggers, making Giuseppe shiver. "That's none of your damn business."

"I need to know. It's about respect," Giuseppe insisted.

Giorgio's eyes narrowed, and he stood up, his voice cold and haughty, "Respect isn't found in questions like that. By asking, you're disrespecting both yourself and Anna."

With that, he stormed out.

Giuseppe stood there, stunned. Giorgio's words hinted he hadn't slept with Anna back then. So, what about the kid?

Giuseppe was more confused than ever and pulled out his phone. "Professor, I need your help with something."

Anna was in a foul mood. She hadn't sorted out Elodie's mess, and now she was suddenly pregnant, like a bolt from the blue. And the kid's existence was a real head-scratcher.

How was she gonna tell Giorgio? What would he think? How could she expect him to accept this kid? Even if he was cool with it, she couldn't let someone as high and mighty as him take on that burden.

But getting an abortion... Having been a mom, she knew a kid was a gift from above, an innocent soul, and she couldn't be that heartless.

Was she doomed to have no future with Giorgio?

Just then, her phone rang. Anna snapped out of it, looked down, and saw 'Giorgio' flashing on the screen, her heart skipping a beat. She hadn't figured out how to face him, so she answered nervously, "Giorgio?"

"Anna, where are you? We need to talk." Giorgio's deep, smooth voice was as captivating as ever.

Anna frowned. 'Talk about what? Last night's mess, or does he already know about the baby?' she wondered.

The thought made her feel like she couldn't breathe.

"Okay," she said, hanging up.

"Anna, keep it together." Sara put a hand on her shoulder, trying to calm her down. "This isn't your fault. After that video of Giuseppe came out, Giorgio thought it was you and still accepted it. I think Giorgio isn't the type to sweat the small stuff; he cares about you."

Anna sighed, "But I can't just use his feelings and screw him over. No guy would be cool with this."

"So, you gotta think it through," Sara said, pulling up a chair and sitting across from her, all calm and collected.

"You got three options now. One, tell Giorgio and see if he's down to accept the kid with you. Two, get an abortion and act like it never happened. Three, break up with Giorgio, leave Crownhaven, and raise the kid solo, like you did before."

Three choices, plain and simple.

Anna felt like she was drowning in confusion. Life's full of tough calls, but this one was a real doozy. No matter what she picked, it was gonna hurt like hell.

"Alright, don't rush it. Go see Giorgio and mull it over. He'll freak if you don't show up."

Sara helped Anna fix her clothes and hair, giving her a reassuring smile. Anna tried to smile back, but her lips felt like they were glued shut. She just nodded, got up, and headed out.

The weather had been all over the place lately, always raining, matching her mood perfectly. Anna took a deep breath and was about to open the door when a sleek Maybach rolled up in front of her. The door opened automatically, and there was Giorgio, looking all elegant and noble.

He was always a sight to behold, no matter when she saw him. Anna blushed, remembering her attempt to seduce him last night.

At the same time, her heart was a mess of guilt, anxiety, and pain. Why did everything have to go sideways just when things were looking up?

"Sara still can't leave the hospital? You don't look so hot," Giorgio thought she was worried about Sara.

Anna quickly shook her head and got in the car. "No. Why'd you come so fast? What did you wanna talk about?"

Giorgio started the car, his deep eyes focused ahead, his expression unreadable. After a few seconds, he said, "I've checked on your Grandma's condition and talked to the docs at Imperial Glory Hospital. Besides Katherine, there's another treatment option."

"Really?" Anna's eyes lit up with hope. "What's the option?"

Giorgio said slowly, "Find a second match for the transplant. It won't be as perfect, but there's a fifty percent success rate."

Anna asked cautiously, "If it fails, will Grandma die?"

Giorgio's lips moved, but he didn't say anything. Seeing her anxious face, he couldn't bear it.

His silence was all the answer Anna needed. She clenched her fists.

Even though he knew she was hurting, Giorgio took her to a restaurant. After ordering, he said seriously, "Time's running out, Anna. We need to decide."

How was Anna supposed to choose? Go with the second match and gamble on that fifty percent chance? Life wasn't a TV show; miracles didn't just happen. At least, in her life, it had been one disaster after another.

And it wasn't just her Grandma; there was also the baby. Logic told her to leave Giorgio, take the kid and Elodie, and head back to Vista Heights. But her heart was tangled up; the thought of leaving made her want to cry.

Seeing Anna's silence, Giorgio knew she was struggling and said, "Anna, there's something else I need to tell you."
