Chapter 116 Mr. Vittorio's Gentleness

But why would he feel sorry for her?

He probably just didn't want his pretend wife to get into trouble.

Or maybe he was worried that she would confront Katherine again?

Yeah, that must be it.

Twenty minutes later, they arrived at the hospital.

Anna felt that her wound wasn't serious. "This is just a minor injury. I'll treat it myself when I get back. I want to go see Penny first."

"No." Giorgio's long and large hand held onto her thin wrist and led her towards a certain department.

His palm was wide and warm.

Anna's palm started sweating, especially when she saw her hand in his large hand, resembling a real couple. Her heart felt even more restless.

"I'll check the time." When they entered the elevator, she casually found a reason and pulled her hand out of his.

Giorgio noticed her flustered movement and his eyebrows slightly furrowed, but he didn't say anything.

Walking into a department, he knocked on the door twice.

Doctor Edith Taylor, who was seeing a patient, looked up, surprised to see him. She quickly handed the list to the patient.

"Go to the payment counter, pay the fee, and bring the X-rays back later."

Then, once the patient left, she stood up with a smile as bright as a flower.

"Giorgio, what a surprise to see you at the hospital today. Is Viviana sick again? Or are you not feeling well?"

"No, she just got a little injury," Giorgio explained casually, his voice gentle.

It was obvious that their relationship was quite unusual.

Anna observed the woman. She had a round face, big eyes, and a very innocent and cute appearance.

But her gaze wasn't friendly.

"Oh, it's Miss. Stefanelli. Where are you injured?"

Anna truly felt that her wound was small and it was difficult to answer, so she said, "On my forehead and face."

"Ah? You have injuries? I can't even tell." Edith complained and then walked over to Giorgio, grabbing his arm.

"Giorgio, I'm tired of helping people with their illnesses all day long. This minor injury can be treated easily with some ointment, yet you still brought her here. You really don't care about me at all."

Giorgio explained smoothly, "Other departments tend to meddle in affairs not concerning them. I wanted to avoid unnecessary complications."

"Oh." Edith walked up to the desk and casually grabbed a box of medicine, handing it to Anna. "Apply it twice a day, and it will be fine."

Her attitude was clearly dismissive.

If Giorgio were the one injured, she wouldn't have said that, would she?

Anna didn't mind, she was only filling in for Katherine and didn't want to make enemies. "Alright, thank you."

Edith's delicately arched eyebrows showed surprise. Katherine had always acted as Giorgio's fiancée, like an arrogant peacock giving orders to her. Why was she suddenly being so friendly?

Never mind her, she was probably just pretending in front of Giorgio!

She smiled at Giorgio. "Giorgio, it's been a long time since we've seen each other, from when you went to Vista Heights until now. Have a seat, I have a lot of things I'd like to talk to you about."

"Weren't you busy just now?" Giorgio was ready to leave with Anna.

Edith immediately held onto him. "I still have time to chat with you! Don't you miss me after being in Vista Heights for so long?"

Anna glanced at the name tag on Edith's chest: Edith. She didn't know whether Giorgio saw her as a sister, a friend, or someone with a different kind of relationship. His voice sounded indulgent. "Hmm, I do miss you. Where are the cotton swabs, give them to me."

"In the drawer, I'll get them for you."

Their relationship was indeed quite good.

Anna looked on and sneered a bit.

Sure enough, he was at ease with women, and his relationship with this Edith was not ordinary, right? Perhaps she was also a woman he was interested in.

Should she give them some space?

Just as Anna hesitated, the man's deep gaze suddenly fell upon her, his chin slightly gesturing toward the seat. "Come over here."

"Ah? Me?" Anna didn't understand and sat over.

Giorgio stood in front of her and raised his hand. "What are you doing?" Anna moved her body back.

Giorgio furrowed his brow. "I'm treating your wound; what did you think I was going to do?"

So, he was treating her wound.

Anna scratched her head awkwardly. "Thank you, I thought you were going to hit me."

Giorgio responded with a puzzled expression. Did he look like the kind of man who would hit women?

In her eyes, what was he?

Helplessly, he took the medicine from her hand, opened it, and dipped a cotton swab into it. With his left hand gently pushing aside her hair on her forehead, he bent down. "Don't move, it still looks a bit serious."

Anna sat upright as if under a spell.

And at this moment, the man naturally applied the medicine to her wound, with careful and delicate movements. As if concerned about her pain, Giorgio even lightly blew on it.

In front of her was a man dressed impeccably in a suit and tie, meticulous in his actions.

Scrolling down, his waist can be seen, between the delicate belt and the folds of his shirt, vaguely showing tight and distinct muscle curves.

He had a great figure!

This man, with his noble and aloof appearance, cold and ruthless, unexpectedly had such a gentle side.

The thing is, he was taking care of her right in front of Edith. Wasn’t he afraid of making her jealous?

Or perhaps, he was very confident in his ability to handle relationships with every woman?

Edith stood by, completely stunned. Having grown up with Giorgio since childhood, she knew him very well. Despite Giorgio being engaged to Katherine for over ten years, his cold and noble personality had never shown any tenderness towards her.

Even a minor injury wouldn't elicit more from Giorgio than a brief message of concern.

And now he's personally applying medication to Katherine!

She couldn't help but think of those few kisses at the wedding, and her heart skipped a beat.

Could it be that Giorgio and Katherine went to Crownhaven and their feelings have intensified?

"Edith, will this medicine help with scar removal?" After applying the medicine, a deep and low voice inquired.

Edith quickly snapped back to reality because of how well Giorgio was taking care of Katherine, which makes her feel uncomfortable, and says, "It will. Besides, her wound will not leave a scar. But Giorgio, when did you become so close with her? You used to say you didn't want to marry her."

Anna knew women’s small thoughts all too well. Her gaze shifted across Edith's face.

It seemed that underneath the innocent face, there was also a terrifyingly hypocritical expression.

Giorgio's meaningful gaze turned towards Anna; his lips slightly pursed.

"Being married, it's natural to be good to her."

"Then, Giorgio, why did you marry her? Didn't you say that the woman you wanted to marry..."

Giorgio's expression darkened and he interrupted, "Edith, you're talking too much today. And from now on, call her by her name, Katherine."

Edith's small face quickly turned black with a look of embarrassment, frustration, and disappointment. "Oh, sorry Giorgio."

Giorgio grabbed a wet tissue, wiped his hands clean, threw it into the trash, and then held Anna’s hand.

"We have things to attend to. Babe, let's go."

Holding another woman's hand in front of Edith and calling her wife, it's just too intimate!

Didn't she see the look in Edith's eyes, almost devouring her?

Anna felt awkward, quickly following Giorgio as they left.

But she was bewildered and curious on the inside.

Just now, Edith mentioned that the woman Giorgio wanted to marry is...

Who is it?
