Chapter 463 Anna, I'm Angry
As the name suggested, a drive-in theater was unlike a regular theater. It involved watching a movie while sitting in your car.
A small car, an enclosed space, a big screen, 3D surround sound; the atmosphere was quite fitting, which was perfect for couples or lovers.
Giorgio glanced at the theater, clearly not expecting Tony to arrange this.
He said, "If you don't like it, we can go somewhere else."
He maintained his gentlemanly demeanor, not minding that she and Giuseppe were chatting happily and dining in a private room.
But the more he suppressed it, the more waves of jealousy surged in his heart.
His current demeanor was just superficial courtesy.
Anna felt the same.
She didn't like Edith, nor did she appreciate how close Edith was to Giorgio or her romantic feelings for him.
It was clear that he had a special indulgence for Edith.
For various reasons, it was hard to articulate the discomfort in her heart.
She forced a smile and said, "It's fine. Let's stay here."
Giorgio looked at the bustling shopping area and asked, "What do you want to eat? I'll go buy it for you."
Anna replied, "I'm fine with anything."
After speaking, she watched Giorgio walk toward the snack shops, her expression looked dim and complicated.
Originally, watching a movie as a couple should be a joyful occasion. But now, the atmosphere was too awkward.
Giorgio stood in front of the snack shop, not knowing what to buy.
At this moment, the voices of a couple next to him rang out.
The boyfriend asked, "Should I get you caramel popcorn?"
The girlfriend replied, "No, I want plain ice cream, and sweet berry-flavored soda. Next time, remember my preferences, or I won't talk to you."
The boyfriend promised, "Okay, sweetheart, I'll remember."
The man bought the items and left with his girlfriend, who leaned into his embrace, looking shy and lovely.
In his view, this was what a date between a couple should look like. But it wasn't like that with him and Anna.
Giorgio glanced at Anna standing in the crowd, his gaze deepening in thought. He paid for the snacks and turned to walk back.
"Anna."
"Giorgio."
They called out to each other simultaneously.
Giorgio's eyebrows furrowed in surprise.
He wanted to clear things up before watching the movie, not wanting to suppress his feelings any longer.
As she called his name so seriously, he guessed she must have something to say too.Anna did want to clear up the issues with Giorgio, but since he also wanted to speak, she decided to hear him out first.
Anna insisted, "I have nothing much to say. You go ahead."
At this moment, she became quite accommodating.
'If only she were this accommodating in other matters, how delightful it would be,' Giorgio thought.
Giorgio pursed his thin lips, led her to an outdoor café, ordered two cups of coffee, then elegantly sat in a quiet corner and said, "I'm very unhappy about you and Giuseppe."
'Huh? Giuseppe?' Anna wondered.
Anna looked puzzled and surprised, asking, "What's wrong with me and him?"
She hadn't done anything and had even ended the relationship!
Seeing her completely unaware of her mistake, Giorgio felt even more displeased and enumerated her faults word by word.
Giorgio pointed out accusingly, "Didn't you say ten minutes? As soon as you got in the car, you were flirting with him, then you didn't want to leave and ended up having a meal."
"Did you really need a private room for a meal? What you did in there, I doubt it was just eating," Giorgio spoke, his tone was sarcastic, filled with anger and suspicion.
In short, the suppressed anger turned into unreasonable jealousy!
Anna was really confused at this point and she asked, "You're actually mad about this?"
'Not because of Edith?' she thought.
"What else?" Giorgio asked as he raised his eyebrows coldly.
She was really speechless!
Anna thought he was mad because she acted rudely towards Edith for making her feel terribly uncomfortable, but it turned out it wasn't that at all!
The gloom in her heart dissipated, and she looked at him with disbelief.
"I specifically sent a message to ask you, and you agreed before I went. Besides, I wasn't flirting with him," Anna retorted,
Giorgio remained expressionless as he said, "My reply was short and crisp, without any punctuation. Couldn't you tell I was already angry?"
Anna gasped inwardly, looking at him innocently.
"Mr. Vittorio, that's always been your style. How was I supposed to know you were angry?" she rebutted.
Giorgio's lips twitched slightly, coldly saying, "This only shows that you're not very attentive to your boyfriend's emotions, or you don't care."
Anna felt she couldn't win the argument and was afraid he would bring up more serious issues, so she quickly said, "Alright, my fault. Next time, I'll observe your text, check for punctuation, and then seriously consider whether you really agree or are angry."
Giorgio said, "Anna, you're brushing me off."
Anna gasped inwardly again, as if he had seen through her.
She said, "I promise, is that okay? If I don't pay attention to your emotions next time, I'll get hit by a car when I go out... mmph!"
Before she could say the last word, "die," Giorgio's large hand covered her mouth.
He said coolly, "I'll believe you for now. Next question. You weren't flirting with him? As soon as you got in the car, you were laughing and joking, even playfully throwing things at him. I've never seen you smile at me like that or play around like that."
Every word that came from his thin lips had been soaked in jealousy!!!
'Laughing and joking? Playfully throwing things?' she thought.
She was both angry and amused, looking at him, handsome and lofty like a god, and couldn't help but ask, "In your eyes, even when I throw things, I'm that cute?"
Right now, the expression of her innocent questioning was also very cute to him.
"Don't change the subject, I'm very serious," Giorgio said.
In other words, she had to explain clearly, apologize, please him, and act cute.
Anna was left speechless again, feeling wronged.
She patiently explained, "I smiled at him because he had fully recovered from a special illness.
"We agreed that I would stay with him until he recovered, and then he would willingly end our relationship and let me go.
"I threw things at him because he scared me, making me think he hadn't fully recovered and thought he was angry with me. I don't know how you saw it as cute.
"I laugh and joke with all my friends, and I completely see him as a friend.
"And with you, it's a completely different relationship. I don't know why, but I'm always so reserved and nervous around you. Maybe it's like this with the person you like."
Her long explanation made everything clear.
The last sentence undoubtedly dissipated all of Giorgio's anger. It's different with someone you like, that's why.
Giorgio's cold lips broke into a smile like spring flowers blooming.
Just then, the waiter brought the coffee, and he handed it over. "With sugar and milk, see if it suits your taste."
At this moment, he was definitely a quality boyfriend.
Anna took a sip of the sweet and fragrant coffee, propped her elbow on the table, rested her head in her hand, and looked at him with beautiful eyes, saying, "Giorgio, I suddenly realize you're different from what I knew and imagined."
At that moment, to her, he was a very emotional, and very deep person.
Giorgio raised his eyebrows slightly, asking, "Hmm? How so?"
