Chapter 466 The Correct Sleeping Positions for Couples
She looked down and saw a text message.
Giuseppe: [Anna, enjoy your first night of freedom. In my heart, you are truly beautiful, breathtakingly so. When I close my eyes at night, I see your every smile and frown. To the girl I like, may you chase your dreams and always wear a smile.]
It was direct, romantic, and heartfelt.
'What the heck is this?' she thought.
Anna had never received a love poem from a man before.
Blushing and flustered, she quickly deleted the message and replied to it.
Anna: [Giuseppe, if you send these again, I'll block you.]
Giuseppe: [Just expressing my feelings and simple blessings. You can pretend you didn't see it. Or do you have other thoughts?]
Giuseppe: [Blocking me won't stop the texts; I can get hundreds of new numbers. Anna, I will make you see my determination to like you.]
Seeing that, Anna felt a bit helpless.
"Mommy!"
"Auntie!"
The children's voices rang out.
Anna looked out the window and saw two kids bouncing into the yard, Giorgio following behind.
She quickly walked out, asking, "Done with school?"
"Yeah! Mommy, are we going to live here from now on?" Penny asked as she looked around.
The flowers, plants, fruits, and vegetables in the yard made her very happy.
"Mommy, this place is so beautiful! There are even little tomatoes and peppers!" Penny exclaimed excitedly.
The vegetables Anna had planted in the yard had already borne fruit. She smiled at Penny and said, "Yes, tomorrow Mommy will buy some chicks, ducklings, and goslings. From now on, if we want to eat vegetables and meat, we'll grow and raise it ourselves. Tonight, Mommy will use the vegetables from the yard for our dinner."
"That's great, Mommy! I love this kind of life!" Penny replied and danced with joy, pulling Charlie to explore the vegetables.
The three-year-old, who had never seen vegetables growing from the ground, was very curious.
Anna thought she had made the right choice to live here.
"Thank you," she sincerely thanked Giorgio for giving her the opportunity to live here.
Giorgio put down the cat and walked up to her. "Do you really need to thank me? Is everything set up inside?"he asked gently.
"Yes." Anna nodded in affirmation. She suggested, "Do you want to take a look?"
Giorgio nodded slightly in agreement and stepped into the house.
The originally clean house now looked cozy and lived-in with the addition of household items.
The kitchen was filled with various seasonings, and red peppers hung on the walls, giving it a strong homey vibe.
People living in big cities were used to high-tech, luxurious surroundings but also faced heavy pressure and a fast-paced life.
This simple and genuine lifestyle made one's thoughts relax and unwind.
Giorgio vaguely remembered the first time he came here, feeling the same sense of relaxation, with a layer of gloom in his heart.
Ten years had passed, and things had changed a lot. That incident had unknowingly been so long ago.Giorgio stood in the kitchen for a long time without moving.
Anna knew he was thinking about the past and that girl.
She wasn't jealous but couldn't help herself be curious about the kind of girl who could make someone as high and mighty as him so nostalgic.
She was also wondering what had happened between them.
"If there's a chance, can you tell me about her?" Anna couldn't help but ask.
Giorgio snapped back to reality, suppressing his thoughts, and looked at Anna with deep eyes.
"There's no need to talk about the past. Unless you could tell me about Antonio?" Giorgio responded.
"How do you know?" Anna replied, extremely surprised.
If she remembered correctly, she had never mentioned Antonio to him.
Giorgio looked at her surprised face and wide eyes, stepped closer, and locked his gaze on her.
"Can't I know about him, too?" Giorgio asked.
No,she didn't mean that; she was just very surprised.
She then realized he was really good at changing the subject!
The more he changed the subject, the heavier his heart must be.
Anna didn't want to touch on his unhappy matters and said, "I'll go make dinner. You can look around or take a walk outside."
After saying that, she walked to the stove and busied herself with cooking.
All the kitchen utensils were newly bought and fully equipped.
Today, she was making paella.
The last time she had it was four years ago when her grandmother was still around.
Her grandmother always said she was too thin and told her to drink more cream of mushroom soup because there was an old saying in the countryside that drinking more soup can make you gain weight.
But no matter how much she had it, as her grandmother advised, she never gained weight.
Those simple days were gone.
No, she had to find a way to get her grandmother back from Katherine!
In the evening, the food prepared for dinner was simple.
There were no delicacies, but everyone was very satisfied.
Charlie put down his bowl and said, "Auntie, I really like it here too! Ah, it's raining. I want to sleep with Penny and listen to the sound of raindrops on the roof. I've never heard that before!"
After saying that, he pulled Penny into the room.
The kids' tricks were too obvious; they just wanted to stay here and let her and Giorgio sleep together.
But she and Giorgio had no such plans! Giorgio may have had to go back to the old house to accompany Vivian.
She looked at him with difficulty, her eyes asking what to do.
In the end, Giorgio just raised an eyebrow lightly and said, "It's raining, and you want to kick me out?"
Anna went to the kitchen to wash the dishes, then bathed the two kids, getting everything in order.
By the time she finished everything, it was already 8:30 at night.
She looked outside at the dark sky, closed the door, and looked at Giorgio.
"The kids are spending their first night in a new place, and it's in the countryside. Will they be frightened? Should we sleep next to them?"
"No!" Penny objected.
"Auntie, we're already asleep!" Charlie chimed in.
Before Giorgio could speak, the children's clear voices came from the room!
In the end, she could only go into the room and share a bed with Giorgio.
Outside, there was the sound of wind and rain, as well as the croaking of frogs and chirping of birds.
Inside, there were their shallow breaths intertwined, making it particularly embarrassing and awkward.
A message notification sounded particularly abrupt.
Anna took the opportunity to grab her phone, trying to change the subject, but it was a 'good night' message from Giuseppe!
'Damn, he definitely wanted to get me in trouble!' she thought.
With his excellent vision, Giorgio saw Giuseppe's name and raised an eyebrow, asking, "Why is he contacting you?"
"Ah? No, it's nothing," Anna didn't dare to mention that Giuseppe was pursuing her again, so she casually made up an excuse.
"He was just asking if I had moved in and found a place to stay; it was just a simple friend relationship," her voice was tense.
There was enough space between them for another person to sleep in.
Giorgio should have pressed on Giuseppe's issue. After she turned off her phone and the world fell into darkness again, he said, "Are you afraid of me?"
Anna instinctively shook her head, dismissively. She replied, "No, I'm not afraid."
"Then why are you so far away from me? Hmm?" Giorgio raised an eyebrow and asked, his deep voice magnetic and charming.
Anna was instantly embarrassed. She didn't want to be so close as his presence always made her nervous.
However, Giorgio reached out, grabbed her shoulder, and pulled her into his arms.
He remarked shamelessly, "This is the correct way for couples to sleep."
