Chapter 362 Satisfied with the Stamina?

She thought he suddenly agreed for some other reason, but in the end, she realized that in his heart, she was not only unworthy of his rescue but also unworthy of being considered such a woman.
Anna suddenly felt that there was no need to be angry anymore. She looked at him and said, "Giorgio, sorry, but what Giuseppe can give me, you can't. You don't have the status or the right to say such things or demand anything from me. Also, if this is all you want to talk about, then we have nothing to discuss."
Her voice, devoid of extra emotion, was powerful and decisive.
Giorgio sneered, stood up with his tall figure, and walked very close to her, his gaze falling on the necklace around her neck. "What can he give you that I can't? Is it a million-dollar necklace, sweet words, or perhaps, satisfying stamina?"
The last sentence was full of innuendo and carried a deeply sarcastic tone.
Anna's cheeks stiffened; he actually insulted her like this!
A surge of anger rose in her chest, and she said, "Yes, everything about him satisfies me. I just like him. Giorgio, you know so much, did you install a camera in our bedroom?"
Her blunt words were like a porcupine's quills. Without giving him a chance to respond, she continued, "Giorgio, saying these things to your niece-in-law really opened my eyes. You know what, I don't want this house!"
Leaving these words behind, she turned and left directly.
"Anna, are you leaving?" Little Tony was surprised and puzzled.
Giorgio had already given her the land, so why was she still so angry and looking so unhappy?
Anna ignored him and grabbed Lucia's hand. "Lucia, let's go." Then, they quickly disappeared from sight.
Little Tony looked at their backs, then at Giorgio, who was extremely cold in the courtyard and wailed once again. He was about to spend a day with the still not-so-gentle boss.
"Anna, what's wrong? Weren't you two fine before?" Lucia asked in confusion as she got into the car. "Since Giorgio agreed to lend the house, everything could be discussed."
"There's nothing to discuss! That kind of jerk, I never want to see him again!" Anna cursed while taking out her phone, blocking Giorgio's number, Facebook, and Instagram.
It was infuriating! His despicable behavior kept refreshing her worldview!
Seeing her explosive anger, which was like a ticking time bomb, Lucia didn't dare to provoke her.
With resignation, she accepted the fact that they would have to find another way. It was a pity to let go of such a good house.
Back at the studio, Lucia diligently sketched designs and prepared construction plans.
Anna, on the other hand, actively gave suggestions and ideas, as she was very familiar with rural styles.
She didn't believe that without Giorgio's house, she couldn't build her career.
Four hours later, a satisfactory design plan was completed.
"It looks good, but how long will it take to replicate it? Are the materials easy to find?" Lucia voiced her concerns.
Anna responded, "It can be replicated. The materials might be hard to find in Crownhaven, so we need to find some help."
Lucia frowned and asked, "What kind of help? I'll post a job ad right away."
"No need, I have an ideal person in mind. In half a month, I guarantee it will be beautifully restored. You prepare other matters during this time. I'm going out now to meet that person," Anna said and hurriedly left.
Lucia watched her back, puzzled. She didn't have acquaintances in Crownhaven, and she seemed to have few friends. Who could her ideal person be?
Anna took a taxi directly to the detention center.
Within five minutes, a car stopped, and Giuseppe got out. He was in a good mood, seeing her take the initiative to find him. With a gentle voice, he walked over and asked, "Are you sure you want to see Wendy?"
"Yes! I'm sure," Anna eagerly replied.
The ideal person in Anna's mind was Wendy, who grew up in the countryside. She was very familiar with everything rural and highly skilled. Wendy also knew many craftsmen with exquisite skills, capable of perfectly restoring a farmhouse.
Moreover, Wendy must be feeling as desperate and miserable as she once did. Now that she was rescuing her, Wendy would be cheap labor.
Anna said seriously to Giuseppe, "Take me in."
"Okay." Giuseppe smiled slightly and walked ahead.
In the same dark, windowless, iron-walled room, six people were detained. Wendy, in tattered clothes and messy hair, was completely unlike her usual flamboyant self.
Seeing Anna, Wendy was extremely surprised and excited. "Anna! You're okay! Are you here to save me? I knew you had a conscience and wouldn't forget me."
"When you sold me, did you think about your conscience? When you distanced yourself and ran away when I was in trouble, did you think about your conscience? Now you're telling me this, don't you feel ashamed? I feel disgusted." Anna's attitude was very cold as she believed in speaking to people in the way they deserved.
Wendy's expression stiffened, then she apologized profusely. "I'm sorry, it was my fault. I shouldn't have treated you that way. I'm not human. Anna, I really know I was wrong. Please save me! I promise, I won't gamble anymore, and I won't do anything to hurt you again! I swear!"
She looked sincere, urgent, and eager. She spoke so genuinely, it was convincing.
But Anna wouldn't believe her. After all, people's bad habits don't change easily.
However, she was using her and had no expectations. "I can save you, but you have to do something for me."
"What is it? As long as I can do it, I will! No, even if I can't, I'll learn and do my best!" Wendy's desperation for Anna's help was palpable in her words, expressing her determination to do whatever it takes.
Anna took out her phone and showed Wendy the designs that she and Lucia had crafted with earlier. "I want to build this exact house in Crownhaven," she explained. "Given your expertise and extensive network of craftsmen in the village, I'm entrusting you to restore it precisely within half a month. My friend will cover the expenses."
She leaned in, her tone serious. "Succeed, and you'll stay. Fail or harbor ill intentions, and you'll be sent back, not just for a month.
"Wendy's eyes lit up as she looked at the pictures of wells, fences, wooden furniture, flowers, and plants—all quintessentially rural items. "This is easy! I'll definitely complete it and exceed your expectations!" she exclaimed eagerly. "And we can even plant seasonal vegetables along the fence to enhance its charm."
Anna thought her suggestion was good, something she had overlooked before. It seemed she had found the right person. "Okay. I hope you keep your word and reform yourself."
"Definitely," Wendy promptly responded.
With Wendy's firm promise and gratitude, Anna had Giuseppe get her out. Then, she provided Wendy with the startup funds and the house address, urging her to start as soon as possible.
Giuseppe watched her methodical arrangements, a slight smile on his lips. "Your working style is unexpected."
Anna turned to look at him, embarrassed. "Do you think I'm bad?"
"How could I? You're being kind to her. At worst, it's a mutually beneficial arrangement," Giuseppe praised.
Just as he finished speaking, his phone rang. He took it out to answer, and then his expression darkened. "Viviana wants us to go back immediately."
"What? What happened?" Anna asked, her voice tinged with concern.
