Chapter 160 Heart Struck Because of Her

A woman's hand was gentle and delicate, her grip feeble, her fingers lacking strength. The water stains on her hand wet his clothes.

Giorgio narrowed his eyes, pondering how she could be so unruly even when she was sick. He remained silent.

Anna's fingers tightened, clutching his clothes, and in a choked voice filled with distress, she said, “Giorgio, I hate you.”

"I truly didn't do anything with Giuseppe; I was framed. I was nearly violated by that man, why didn't you help me, why couldn't you believe me?"

"I hate you and that dog. Why do you torment me..."

"I'm going to slaughter it and stew it."

Her voice was shaky, faint, fragmented, but managed to piece it together.

Giorgio's handsome face darkened, as if a heavy object had struck his heart, suppressing deep pain.

His lips involuntarily tightened, and he spoke softly, "Okay, when you recover, I'll make Blacky into a stew."
s
What? Stew Blacky? Was Giorgio joking?

Blacky outside the door also heard these words, and with a bark, he rushed into the bathroom, looking at Giorgio with innocent confusion, "Master, what did I do wrong? Why do you want to stew me?"

Giorgio glanced at the dog, suddenly reminded of Anna's fear of dogs, and said, "Get down, don't come up."

With a dejected "woof," did the master abandon it? Blacky hung its head, tail between its legs, and left in a gloomy manner.

In the bathtub, Anna, whether it was because of soaking or crying, had finally started to stabilize her body temperature.

Tom breathed a sigh of relief. "As long as the fever is gone, and with some intravenous drips and medication, she should slowly recover."

Now the issue was her soaked clothing.

Tom hesitated and said, "I'll change her clothes. Giorgio, is that ok with you?"

In reality, as a doctor, it was typical and reasonable to assist patients with their physical needs. However, when the patient was Anna, it became a delicate matter.

Sure enough, Giorgio's face turned serious, and he glanced at Tom. "You should go, I'll take care of it."

"Okay." Tom preparing to leave, but then he remembered something. "It’s a doctor's responsibility to care for patients, buy you changing her clothes might be misconstrued as having ulterior motives." With that, he quickly made his exit.

Giorgio muttered to himself, “Who did he think he is? He just doesn't want other men to see her.”

Carrying Anna to the changing room, he reluctantly closed his eyes and carefully helped her into fresh clothing before allowing Tom back in.

Tom reinserted the IV and administered medication to Anna. He worked diligently until two in the afternoon, finally managing to bring down her fever slightly.

"Giorgio, I have a medical meeting at three. I'll head out, and once the infusion is finished, you can replace it with a new one. If she wakes up, give her the medicine I’ve left on the table. Remember to frequently use warm towels on her forehead, wipe away the sweat, and be careful not to let her develop a fever again. Call me if there's anything, and I'll come over after my meeting."

"Alright," Giorgio watched as Tom left the room.

The atmosphere grew still.

Anna, lying on the bed, breathed steadily, her complexion no longer as flushed, indicating an improvement in her condition.

Giorgio walked over and sat on a single sofa, set the alarm clock, and closed his eyes for a nap.

He hadn't slept the entire night because of the Anna and Giuseppe's situation, and today he had been busily running around. Fatigue weighed heavily on him on him.

In the quiet room, where even the sound of the intravenous drip could be heard, their breaths seemed oddly harmonious?

When Anna opened her eyes, she saw Giorgio sitting on the sofa by the bed, and her face immediately turned pale.

What happened to her?

Why was she in the same room as him?

She tried to get up, but a sharp pain shot through her hand, causing her to let out an involuntarily painful groan.

Giorgio was awakened by the noise, opening his unusually deep black eyes and looking at her.

"You're awake? Don't move; I'm changing the IV."

Saying that, he stood up, took her hand, and dealt with the infusion needle.

His movements were natural, his expression calm, as though he genuinely cared?!

He clearly wished she had been bitten to death by Blacky last night!

Anna's eyes flashed with resistance, and she forcefully pulled her hand back, saying loudly, "Leave, I don't want you to interfere."

Giorgio sternly admonished, "This is your own body; aren't you responsible for it?"

"What if I'm not responsible? Mind your own business! Go away; I never want to see you again in my whole life." Anna’s heart was filled with grievances from the previous night, making her uncomfortable.

She yanked out the infusion needle and threw it aside, looking at him.

"Why don't you leave?"

"Oh, I remember now; this is your room. I'll go. I'll go."

She lifted the blanket and got out of bed. Not seeing her shoes, she walked out barefoot.

From head to toe, her entire body expressed resistance towards him.

Giorgio's temple throbbed twice, and he firmly grabbed her delicate wrist.

"Anna, I didn't hold anything against you; we could have coexisted peacefully. Why are you arguing with me?"

"Hmph." Anna sneered, looking at him as if he had bestowed upon her a great favor. Her dry lips parted.

"Thank you, Mr. Vittorio, for your great kindness and generosity. I will now return to my own"

“Anna.”

"Stay in your room; don't bother me," she interrupted without looking back, walking away without a backward glance.

A deep sense of irritation coursed through Giorgio's posture. He was infuriated, his face turning ashen. What did he care about her? Whether she lived or died, even if she became a fool, had nothing to do with him.

He slammed the door and stormed out. Anna returned to her room and locked the door, collapsing onto the bed. The events of last night made her not only resent Giorgio but had also made her realize clearly that she meant nothing to him.

She couldn't even compare to women like Edith. They were from different worlds. Even worse, she couldn't accept a man like him, who couldn't distinguish right from wrong and tangled everything up.

She had to find out the truth and demand justice for herself! She also needed to distance herself completely from him!

Anna found Katherine's phone and dialed Carla's number. "Where is Judy? I need to talk to her."

"What business do you have with her? I sent her to the villa to assist you earlier, but you and Giorgio brought her back," Carla replied, clearly displeased.

At this moment, she sat by Katherine's bedside, gazing at Katherine's pale and lifeless face, feeling a pang of heartache. Anna didn't mind. She had known from the beginning that no one in Crownhaven welcomed her, and there was no sanctuary for her there.

She got straight to the point, "Someone drugged me last night and attempted to assault me in the dressing room. Giorgio was furious about it, so I had Judy investigate the surveillance footage. If you think this isn't important, then don't bother checking."

After saying that, she hung up the phone. She believed that with Carla's personality, she would not easily let it go. All Anna needed to do was wait at home. Then, she had another idea and accessed Katherine's Twitter account, posting a new update. She already had numerous followers, and the various significant events since her marriage attracted even more.

Therefore, as soon as the news was spread, it became a sensation, dominating the headlines.

Viviana at The Vittorio Mansion saw it and immediately called Giorgio, "Giorgio, what happened to Katherine? Why did she suddenly post such a tweet?"

Giorgio frowned. Twitter? What had Anna posted on Twitter? He clicked the mouse with his slender fingertips, opening Twitter and going to Katherine's profile. Then he saw—
