Chapter 380 Feelings Can Be Transferred

Chapter 380  Feelings Can Be Transferred

Anna noticed the seriousness in his gaze and realized she needed to respond to his inquiry. "There was nothing between us. He tried to initiate something, but I was about to decline when you walked in. It's the truth."

Anxious that he might not believe her, she swore earnestly. "That's my answer. Can you please go now?" Giorgio seemed content with her explanation, but instead of leaving, he smoothly shifted position, reclining on the bed and pulling the blanket over them.

Anna couldn't help but wonder, 'What was he up to?’

Anna, plunged into darkness, felt both embarrassed and annoyed. She wanted to crawl out.

The sound of the door opening echoed.

She was so scared that she lay still, not daring to move.

At the door, Giuseppe glanced at the composed Giorgio on the bed and inquired with suspicion, "Giorgio? Napping at this time of day?"

Giorgio, who hadn't even eaten lunch yet, sat up, rested against the bed, and casually extended one leg, effectively hiding Anna beneath the blanket.

He casually remarked, "I can lie on the bed even without napping. Is there something you need?"

In his presence, Giuseppe's demeanor always seemed to pale in comparison. Giuseppe gave a faint smile and asked, "I heard Anna was here earlier to sign the house contract. I thought you two were still together. Has she completed it and left?"

Giorgio replied, his left hand hidden under the blanket, firmly grasping Anna's hand, and stated solemnly, "She most likely departed about an hour ago.

Anna felt speechless under the blanket.

Did he not blush when he lied?

His warm hand sent a shiver down her spine, causing unease to creep into her heart. The blanket was stiflingly hot, making it difficult for her to catch her breath.

“Giuseppe," Giorgio suddenly remarked with seriousness, "Things you strive to take by force will never truly be yours." Giuseppe, sharp and perceptive, immediately grasped the implied message behind his words.

He smiled, "Giorgio is absolutely right, but since it's something I worked hard to get, I will definitely feel happy."

Giorgio's eyes darkened, "But you will pay the price for it."

Giorgio was strategic, and dangerous.

Without allowing Giuseppe to get a word in, he pressed on, "Olivia will now be your dedicated personal assistant. If there are any other assistants from my team that you prefer, I can arrange for them to assist you too.”

Giuseppe's mouth twitched.

Was Giorgio monitoring his personal life to manipulate him?

Realizing that Olivia had worked with him late into the night and had intentionally seduced him that morning, some things started to make sense.

"Giorgio's manipulations are truly inscrutable. One day, I'll also assign you a couple of assistants that you favor," Anna remarked.

"There's no need, I already have someone in mind," Giorgio replied as he subtly tightened his grasp on Anna's hand. In that moment, he longed to be one with her.

Anna felt a mix of anger and amusement. Did they truly see women as mere objects of pleasure? With their wealth and influence, they likely indulged in relationships with multiple women without hesitation. Suddenly, she remembered Giorgio's earlier question, "You have feelings for me as well, don't you?”

She couldn't deny that his maturity and handsomeness attracted her.

But it was just a crush.

He was surrounded by different women, and she couldn't be as indifferent as they were because what she desired wasn't money or physical pleasure. She longed for the dedication and commitment of love.

And he wasn't her ideal partner.

So, some feelings should be kept in check.

"Are you asleep?" Giorgio's pleasant voice sounded.

Anna snapped back to reality and realized Giuseppe had already left. She quickly sat up

"Giorgio, have you signed the contract? If you have, I'll head back. Lucia and I have other work to do."

She suddenly became distant and aloof.

Giorgio noticed her mood, "Are you angry? Giuseppe was already at the door,so I had no other choice."

His explanation was cultured, gentlemanly, and carried a special tenderness.

This kind of tenderness could make any woman fall for him.

But his tenderness wasn't exclusive to her.

Maybe last night or the night before, he was just as tender to another woman.

And today, he could give Olivia to another man. Perhaps one day, when he got tired of her, he would abandon her too.

Anna collected herself and gazed at Giorgio with composure. "I'm not upset," she said calmly. "I've come to realize the answer to your earlier question. We're all grown-ups here. Whether or not I have feelings for you doesn't hold much significance. It's not a unique or irreplaceable emotion, as I am capable of having feelings for others as well.”

Giorgio understood her meaning, his deep eyes narrowing, "What do you mean? Are you saying you have feelings for me, but you can transfer them tomorrow?"

Anna nodded.

It seemed he was smarter than she thought.

She said, "Isn't that true? I had feelings for Mr. Dalio in the past. And when Mr. Vittorio rescued me, I developed similar feelings for him. These recent days, being in your presence, I've also developed feelings. It seems that women's feelings can easily be stirred by any man who shows affection." She spoke sincerely and even provided examples.

Giorgio was thoroughly annoyed by her words.

If the feelings she spoke of could be given to anyone, he didn't want them any more.

"Anna, you should know, not every woman is qualified to receive my affection. Are you sure this is your answer?"

Anna knew very well that the women around him were all beautiful and capable.

But she didn't like being one of those women, nor would she feel honored because of that.

She firmly said, "Yes, thank you for considering me, but that's my answer."

With that, she got up and left directly.

Giorgio sat there, his expression dark.

The atmosphere in the room became oppressive again.

As Anna approached the office door, a gust of wind blew, and she suddenly noticed that she was wearing Giorgio's white shirt! The thought of being ridiculed if she went out like that made her cringe.

However, the idea of turning back in embarrassment was equally daunting. Just as she hesitated, the elevator doors in front of her opened, revealing a graceful figure - Katherine!

Panicking at the thought of Katherine seeing her in Giorgio's shirt, Anna had no other option but to swiftly retreat back to the lounge.

In that moment, Giorgio tossed her wet clothes into the trash can, his demeanor aloof as if tossing out trash. Men could be more ruthless than women, disposing of things without a second thought. Anna was well aware of this, but witnessing it firsthand made her inexplicably melancholic.

Clearly caught off guard by her return, Giorgio fixed her with a cold, noble gaze and asked, "Why did you come back?" in a chilly tone.

Compared to his husky tone when he was emotional earlier, now it was only filled with detachment.

But Anna had no time to think about this.

"Katherine is here. I need to hide."

She looked around. The room was clean and tidy, with only two places to hide:wardrobe or the bathroom.

Anticipating that Katherine might need to use the bathroom, Anna swiftly ducked into the wardrobe and whispered to Giorgio, "Please, make sure she doesn't open the wardrobe.”

Giorgio's lips curved into a smile filled with implications that Anna couldn't grasp. All she heard him say was, "Why should I assist you? Is it because of your inconsistency with men? Or because you once grouped me together with Simon and Giuseppe?”
