Chapter255 Pizza
Throughout the journey, Penny kept chattering non-stop, like a little old lady.
It wasn't until they arrived at the villa that she finally stopped.
Giorgio opened the car door: "Go see Charlie."
"Okay! Charlie, I'm coming~~" The little girl ran up the stairs.
Finally, there was peace and quiet. Giorgio smiled faintly but not out of annoyance.
He left the car keys on the entryway cabinet, changed his shoes, walked to the dining room, took out the frozen pizzas that Katherine had prepared in advance from the fridge, and started to heat them in the oven.
He hadn't eaten at the restaurant.
The doorbell rang. It should be Anna.
Giorgio opened the door via voice command and continued standing in the open kitchen, not going out.
The living room was large. Anna entered the villa and found that the house was unusually quiet; there were no children in sight.
She vaguely heard some noise from the kitchen, walked over, and saw that it was Giorgio. She awkwardly said, "You haven't had lunch yet? I came to pick up Penny."
It was just a casual greeting.
Unexpectedly, Sara on the side said, "We haven't had lunch either; we just packed some food from the restaurant. Let's eat together!!!"
What?! Have lunch with Giorgio?
Anna pinched Sara's arm and whispered a reminder in her ear, "We are here to pick up Penny."
Then she laughed awkwardly, "We have things to do, so we have to go back. Besides, you wouldn’t want to eat restaurant leftovers, right Mr. Vittorio?"
Giorgio glanced at her coldly and didn't say a word. He didn't want to deal with her at all.
But Sara was more thick-skinned, "What's wrong with restaurant leftovers? It's better than Mr. Vittorio cooking frozen pizza. We brought so much back; it would be a waste if we didn't finish it. Mr. Vittorio, stop cooking; I'll go call the kids for dinner."
As she spoke, she put the leftovers on the table and turned around to find Penny.
"Sara..." Anna began to call her.
Sara ignored her, as if she hadn't heard, and continued to run.
The next second, she hit a transparent glass wall with a 'bang,' causing her forehead to ache terribly, "Jesus, that hurts."
"I just wanted to tell you that there is a wall there..."
"It's okay; it's okay; it's just bad luck. Help plate the food." After Sara finished speaking, she left again.
Her posture seemed to say that as long as they could be matched, she didn't mind getting hurt.
Anna was speechless. Really, she was speechless. She shouldn't have agreed to Sara coming to Crownhaven?
The atmosphere was extremely quiet.
Anna saw Giorgio standing coldly in the kitchen, not intending to deal with her, and for a while, she didn't know what to say. She didn’t know whether to go or stay.
After a while, the pizzas in the oven were ready.
Giorgio was about to take them out when Anna instinctively said, " Wait, let's let them bake a bit longer in the oven. It makes the crust crispier."
As she spoke, she walked over, took the oven mitts from his hands, and then gently turned the pizzas, " Once we take them out, we'll let them cool down a bit. They will be more delicious that way."
Speaking of cooking, Anna was a very experienced and natural cook. Her serious and focused little face was quite lovely.
Giorgio remembered the meals she cooked, which indeed tasted good.
Most importantly, at this moment she and he were standing very close.
She was shorter than him; he felt as if he could wrap his large body all around her. Her delicate skin, under the light outside the window, could also be clearly seen.
For a moment, they had the warmth of a married couple.
Giorgio’s eyes were slightly intense.
The pizzas in the oven were ready.
Anna took out a slice, blew on it, and naturally took a bite, "Hmm... it's done; it's delicious. It’s really not bad; do you want to try?" She turned around to feed him.
When she saw his handsome face, and his deep eyes, she suddenly realized that she was speaking to Giorgio!
What was she doing? How could she treat him like she treated Penny and Charlie? Her hand instantly stiffened in mid-air, ready to retract, "I'll eat it myself."
However, the man's strong and slender hand held her thin wrist, pulled her hand over, lowered his head, and ate the half slice of pizza in her hand.
He moved so naturally and smoothly; he even ate the pizza with elegance.
She had bitten it! He obviously saw it! Why did he still eat it?!
"Wow! Mommy is so nice to Uncle; she secretly fed Uncle pizza! Mommy, I want to be fed too!" The little girl ran over with a thud.
Anna turned her eyes and found that Sara, Charlie, and Penny were all there! They had seen everything just now!
Instantly, her face turned as red as an apple. She quickly retracted her hand and explained, "I was just letting Mr. Vittorio taste the pizza to see if it's done; it's not what you think!"
"Uh-huh, we understand..." The three nodded in unison, but their voices sounded weird. They were obviously taking things the wrong way.
Anna was at her wit's end; she couldn't explain herself clearly even if she were to shout it from the rooftops.
Forget it, the more she explained, the more chaotic it became.
She took Penny's hand, "Penny, let's go."
"No, I want to eat pizza, and I want to play with Charlie." The little girl pouted, unwilling to leave.
Anna's face turned cold, "Behave yourself. You ran around without permission before. Mommy was worried and looked for you for half an hour. You haven't even been disciplined yet and now you're being disobedient again? Do you want to be punished?" Her tone was stern and firm.
Penny's mouth puckered and tears began to fall from her cute, big eyes, "I'm sorry, Mommy; I just wanted to see Charlie, and now I just want to eat pizza...woo..."
Anna didn’t know what to do.
What could a child do wrong? Their thoughts were all very simple!
For a while, she felt very uncomfortable. If she had to blame someone, she could only blame herself.
She didn't have the courage to let her reunite with her own brother, and she didn't want to leave her to Giorgio. She was very selfish.
Giorgio didn't know why, but when he saw Penny crying, his heart was grabbed by an invisible big hand, and he bent down and picked up Penny, "Don't cry, Uncle will let you finish eating pizza before leaving."
Penny blinked her teary eyes and asked in a choked voice, "Really? Can you convince my mommy?"
Giorgio looked at Anna with deep eyes and said, "Hmm, she listens to me." Then, he held Penny and went to the dining table.
Charlie also quickly ran over and handed Penny a tissue to wipe her tears.
Anna stood alone in the kitchen in shock.
Why did it seem like she was the big villain who had done all the evil? What did he mean when he said she listened to him?
Lunch was ultimately eaten at Giorgio's villa.
Three adults and two children, the atmosphere was lively, especially the two children. They got along very well.
Sara couldn't help but sigh to Anna, " They are indeed siblings; you can't deny their bond. And Charlie is so handsome and cute; he is simply a mini version of Giorgio, my new little idol!"
"Shush!" Anna immediately pulled Sara and gave her a look, indicating her not to talk nonsense! If heard, the consequences would be unimaginable.
However, she never would have guessed that Charlie would hear them.
He lifted his clean and delicate face, looked at the two of them, and asked in surprise, "What siblings? Penny and I are siblings?"
