Chapter 302 Anna Admits to Romance
Meanwhile, with a loud bang, the door flew open. Reporters swarmed in, their cameras clicking a relentless rhythm. Oddly enough, there were no women in sight, just a child—the one and only Giorgio Charlie.
"Isn't that GiorgioCharlie?"
"Heavens, Mr. Vittorio's son?"
"GiorgioCharlie, who did you sleep with last night?"
"Was it your aunt?"
"The woman who looks like your mom but isn't your mom…"
Their questions, direct and suggestive, showed no regard for Charlie being just a three-year-old boy. They assumed the child's limited ability to process would easily lead him to nod or say something incriminating.
To their surprise, Charlie looked at them with a dark expression, lips sealed tightly, uttering no word.
"What's going on?"
"Why won't GiorgioCharlie talk?"
"Hey, little buddy, Anna will give you candy if you tell her someone taught you not to say anything."
One reporter moved in closer, brandishing a lollipop as a bribe. At the door, Anna's grip tightened in anger as she witnessed the scene.
"You're hounding a three-year-old child now? Isn't that a bit much?"
Her voice rang out with crisp authority. The crowd turned and there stood Anna at the room's threshold. She wore a white dress with a men's blazer draped over her shoulders, the dashing Giuseppe at her side.
"Mr. Vittorio? Miss Stefanelli? You two are together?"
"Were you together all of last night?"
"It looks like Miss Stefanelli is not wearing the same outfit from the news?"
"What really happened last night? Was it Katherine?"
The reporters were baffled, as confused as monks unable to touch the Buddha's head. Under their scrutiny, Giuseppe took Anna's hand and spoke in a deep voice, "Anna was indeed with me last night. We're deeply in love, and she came to see me. That's why she stayed here. As for the photos circulating online, don't you think spreading rumors comes at a price? Shouldn't you think before you speak? After all, as adults, we should understand responsibilities, right?"
His tone seemed friendly, but the unspoken threat was palpable. The reporters, faced with his question, turned pale and were speechless.
Anna's hand, in Giuseppe's grip, was slightly tense. But calm resolution showed in her eyes as she addressed the reporters, "The child needs to rest. Please leave, or I will call the police for peace disturbance."
Her statement was an order and an absolute threat. The reporters, taken aback, soon nodded and left without further words.
After all, the Stefanelli family's youngest daughter had an especially terrible temper, which was now universally acknowledged.
Once they left, Anna hurriedly went to the bedside and asked Charlie with concern, "How are you? Did that scare you?"
Charlie pouted, "I'm not in the mood, don't talk business to me."
Anna was left speechless. What was this reaction?
"Charlie, little Charlie~~ be good. Anna will take you back to Penny, okay? Penny must be waiting for you to have breakfast."
"Hmph. I don't want to talk to you."
Charlie tossed her a petulant little head and got up with a trot, his little legs carrying him out of the room.
Anna knew he was angry because she denied any relationship with Giorgio, but unfortunately, she couldn't satisfy his curiosity.
She quickly followed him downstairs.
Outside, a luxurious Maybach was parked steadily at the curb.
Inside the car, the noble and coldly handsome Giorgio was preparing to get out.
Tony suddenly exclaimed with utter surprise, "Mr. Vittorio, Miss Stefanelli is trending again!"
"Hmm? What's trending?"
Tony nervously glanced at the screen and hesitated, "You should see for yourself, Mr. Vittorio..."
The large tablet was passed to Giorgio's side.
Giorgio's slender, well-defined hands took the tablet, and as he looked down, he saw the trending news—Anna admitting to a romance.
Attached to the trending story were high-quality photos of her public appearance with Giuseppe, holding hands—him elegant and refined, her the picture of demure beauty—a pretty sight for the eyes.
The man was quoted, "Anna and I are currently passionately in love..."
She stood by his side, tacitly affirming the statement.
The visual of their hands intertwined was quite provocative.
The internet users engaged in a heated discussion, "An official announcement? Pushing back against scandals?"
"Yeah, after all, they spread rumors about her involvement with her brother-in-law... Is she supposed to just wait to be slandered to death?"
"I never believed those previous rumors."
"Right, like Mr. Vittorio would take an interest in her."
"I think Mr. Vittorio is a bit blind. She's not worthy of anyone."
"I'm not buying this couple pairing."
"Come on, who are you to judge their relationship? Do they need your approval? Some people think too highly of themselves."
"I actually think both individuals match each other in terms of status. Quite suitable."
"Executive gentleman and Cinderella, I'm ready to eat up their sweet moments..."
The comments were mixed, but the topic was red-hot.
After reading, Giorgio's narrow eyes narrowed further, a dark and piercing gleam flashing through.
So yesterday’s events were, in fact, denied, and she even roped in Giuseppe for clarification?
Very well.
The atmosphere dropped several degrees, chilling like a refrigerator.
Tony shuddered with cold fear, his palms sweating with frost.
Today's news exploded with the story that when Mr. Vittorio didn't show up immediately to explain and even let Katherine get out of the car and leave, it seemed to the onlookers that Mr. Vittorio had no intention of denying the rumors, and there even appeared to be signs... of admission.
This move by Miss Stefanelli seemed like a slap in the face to Mr. Vittorio, painting him as delusional in his affections.
What a headache, what misery!
Just then, Tony, quite by chance, noticed three figures emerging in the hallway. Instinctively, he exclaimed, "Mr. Vittorio, it's Miss Stefanelli and Charlie."
Giorgio looked up.
Small in stature, Charlie was walking ahead, furiously getting into Giuseppe's car. The perfect gentleman Giuseppe elegantly followed, opening the door for Anna. Without resisting, Anna bent to sit inside the car, pulled the door shut, and then the two drove off, their actions quick and natural as if they were very familiar.
What is this, taking his son and his lover out for a date?
A wave of irritable fire spread from the depths of his heart.
On the roadside, suddenly, a reporter burst out from a hiding spot, grabbing the hotel front desk clerk who had just stepped out, "Hello, can you confirm if young Master Giuseppe was here last night?"
"Are those Katherine and Mr. Vittorio in the news?"
"Can you provide us with any information?"
Faced with such a scene, the clerk, polite yet somewhat timid, said, "Well, last night, Mr. Vittorio arrived first with Charlie and Mrs. Vittorio. He left shortly afterward, probably because Mrs. Vittorio was looking after Charlie.
Later on, Mr. Vittorio came back and opened another room. Since our hotel has a back-elevator, I didn't see who he brought. But when I went up later in the night to ask if they needed hot water or any other service, I found Miss Stefanelli and Mr. Vittorio together, and they appeared quite affectionate.
Mrs. Vittorio must have left in the morning; otherwise, she wouldn't have left Charlie alone in the room.
I think Mr. Vittorio is very discreet and tender toward Miss Stefanelli, and Miss Stefanelli herself seems direct and frank, not the type to seduce her brother-in-law. So everyone should stop speculating."
Her words flowed naturally and smoothly, not seeming fabricated at all.
Hearing this string of facts, the reporter was visibly disappointed, uttered an "Oh," and left sheepishly.
Quietness quickly returned to the road.
A wind swept through, leaves fluttered, and a bleak concern lingered.
The man sitting in the back seat's complexion turned ice-cold once again.
